- Join us on our FIRST Dune Buggy experience with Virgin Voyages in Puerto Plato, Dominican Republic. We spent $0.00 as we used our sailor loot to book the $100ish per person Jungle Buggy Ride and Beach Excursion through Virgin Voyages.
We boarded Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady from the port of Miami for a 5 night Dominican Daze cruise. We've sailed with Virgin Voyages in the past, but this was our FIRST shore excursion through the cruiseline.

That free ride from the ship to the port was a blessing, that rain wasn't playing. Those dune buggies looked really fun, we got to try that one day! Yall reactions was so funny! Would get motion sickness as a passenger. Y’all needed shots 🥃 of the local drink after that 😂. Like the cabanas on the beach. At least it stopped raining ☔️. Like sampling local drinks and eats. Fam....whoa what a trip!!!!!! that rain just added anxiety to the ride for me and I was just watching. 🤣 We would def do it. We did one in Punta Cana. The had momkeys on the beach (ah no thank you) and rolled your personal cigars. No yal having my longing for a resort stay. This was absolutely unforgettable. Even though I do NOT like being visibly dirty, this looked like so much fun! I think VV had a whole bus load of dune buggy riding, mud covered big kids looking for BUG FUN. Full showers for clean up is a super PLUS! Glimpse the beach then tour the city sounds great to me. Great tip on bringing cash for the city shopping and no AMEX. Thanks so much for sharing. Me too Keshia! This video gave me flashbacks of when we did this excursion. I was covered head to toe with no poncho! I had to throw everything I had on in the trash, including my wig 🤣. There was 💩 dirt everywhere!
