Wife and I went last February and had a lot of fun, but won't go back, we thought there would be topless at the pool, not one. We are going on the Temptation cruise in February this time, it will be a blast.
100% agreed. I was actually restrained and sent to the crowes nest (basically the onboard prison) for public masturbation - NEWSFLASH - the girl was over 18 AND had the straps to her bikini undone as she was sunbathing facing down (yes, we know that she was inviting me) I ended up being arrested in Miami, FL. Never again, cruise was 3/10
We sailed on the Scarlet Lady with a group of friends and loved it. We are both 60 and like to have fun and wish we knew about Virgin before we booked our trip with another cruise line to Greece in August. Highly recommend!

Just come back off a Virgin Voyage- there was a big spread of ages onboard from young to old. I think the hype around it makes it out to be a party booze cruise but we found it to be a nice mix of parties and chilled events. We loved it and would definitely do another Virgin Voyage again!
We went on Virgin Voyage 8 day cruise a week before you. We went with another couple and we all loved the entertainment, room and food. Our ages range from 60 - 65 and have both been married for 41 years each. Our room was 10190Z Mid ship sea terrace it was a great room and location. Our friends room was 9290A forward Sea Terrace and they loved this room also. Both were very close to elevators and located in central location to everything. The only thing that we didn't like was you had to book reservations for all dinner and shows.
We was on the VL just a few weeks ago. Was a great cruise. Was 8 nights of meeting people from all over the world. We sailed out of Miami. Was more string bikinis then you could shake a stick at. Not a place for the jealous type. lol
I went on the Scarlet Lady a couple of weeks ago. I have cruised on a few of the major cruise lines and I was curious about VV. I have to say that as solo sailor, I found many places to just chill when I didn't feel like participating. The activities were fun to watch. I am in my 60's and was not offended; I just left if I felt uncomfortable. Virgin is doing everything differently, and it was a pretty good experience. Getting reservations to dine was my only complaint. I loved room service; they found me even when not in my room. And leaving the ship was just so fast and easy. Good for Virgin for being different!
I had an absolute blast on my cruise in February, going again in July. Soloed the first time and taking my 20yo son this time. I didn't notice anything risque, but I wasn't looking for it either. I think if you want risque you can find it but for the most part it's just a bunch of normal people wanting to have fun and relax for a week. I'm hooked!

We sailed our of Barcelona on Virgin in June of 2022. Honestly, other than we didn't see any kids, I didn't think it was much different than any other cruise line we have sailed, and we sail about twice a year. We've done some pretty wild private charter cruises, and this was nothing like those. Unless you're just a real prude, I don't think anyone would have a problem with the shows and atmosphere on the ship.
Great review! Going 4/2024 and can not wait. I feel like this ship is for adults who live life a little outside the box and go out of their own comfort zone. It's all adults people, you have nothing to hide. I don't think I'll be a regular on Virgin but am excited to see everything!

The most Risqué cruise I took was a nude cruise from Denmark to Norway thru the forges. it was pretty laid back and fun. Surprisingly its a good was a good way to meet other people.
@@billmago7991 Totally agree. Several years ago I hosted a exchange students (boys) from Denmark and Sweden. They were shocked to see alot of the girls in the school were fat and overweight. They did like the desk being alot bigger. We went to walmart and counted the first 10 people to walk in (did not take that long) 7 of them were either overweight or very obese. Not scientific but proves United States is a "big" country
Yup that is pretty much what I expected. The big draw is not having someone else’s kids spoiling your vacation. And they do one more thing I thought of years ago. Why not have a program where you can get off the ship and stay at one of the islands and get back on the ship when it comes back a week later? Virgin does that with their private island!!!
Nice review! I’ve seen some videos of this cruise line that seemed just like a big party. Glad that it doesn’t have to be. Still not the cruise line for me! And that’s ok! Otherwise, we wouldn’t have other choices if everyone wanted the same kind of experience!
Thank you again for doing such an informative and detailed video! Our friends want to go on a couples cruise and they picked out Virgin. I'm loyal to my Royal Caribbean and feared that Virgins since it's adults only would, would be a Lil risqué for me. But thanks to your video i think i might be comfortable enough to go. Since you said that they have toned it down from how it used to be before, and it's not like there are a bunch of naked ppl. We have kids and it would be a refresher to enjoy sone time alone without kids.
I loved your review! DH and I consider ourselves Gen X I’m early 40’s and him barely 50. I think we would totally enjoy this cruise as we raised 4 children in our 20’s and 30’s and now that they are all grown up….. it’s our time to enjoy life together as a couple. Thank you again and I look forward to your upcoming reviews of this cruise ship!
This makes me feel better. We are already booked for February 2025 and I am like you said just looking forward to no screaming kids and kids in the hot tubs and parents letting their kids do whatever they want.
We did a cruise on Scarlet Lady in September. We didn’t mind the “adult” aspects of the cruise at all. What we did mind was the poor service in many areas and hit or miss drinks and food that we were served. Our first clue that something was wrong was when I tried to make reservation just as we boarded. Nothing to be had for the entire voyage. We got on the ship at our scheduled time. It difficult for me to believe that every reservable activity on the cruise was already sold out. We went straight to Sailor Services. That had no way to access the reservation system so the guy there actually tried to make reservations using my phone with no results. He shrugged his shoulders and said “Everything must be full already.” He told us that his supervisor knew a lot more than he did and that he would have her call me. She did not. We found this to be typical of our experience on Scarlet Lady. We didn’t get to go to any shows. We were able to get into a couple of reservation only restaurants by just showing up and skiing if they could seat us. We had warm drinks that should have been cold and bars that should have been comfortable that required cold weather clothing. Surprise! We didn’t bring any on a Caribbean cruise. We did love some things about the ship. 😊We loved our balcony stateroom and even the tiny bathroom with a gigantic shower. We like the “Grab and Go “ boxes of snacks available around the ship. The Virgin app never really seemed to work. I bought the pricier and supposedly faster internet for myself. My wife chose not to. Her free internet in head to head test of data rates was exactly the same speed as mine. I liked the fundamental idea of Virgin Voyages but I think they need to work on their execution.
@@brandcoachtoni Probably more than a sweater would be required to be comfortable. My wife bought a super expensive hoodie from one of the stores on the ship and she was still cold. I generally don’t mind the cold but this was ridiculous. I think many of the issues we experienced were related to a large influx of new/inexperienced crew and large increase in occupancy on our particular cruise. I was told that they had gone from 50% on the previous sailing to about 85% on ours 5 days later. I liked a lot about the cruise but overall the competence that we generally experience on other cruise lines just wasn’t there. I expect that they will get there. I doubt that I can convince my wife to try them again so I may never find out.
So agree, we just went in December, found it very blah and stripped down. Not much luxury, battle ship like. Dinner food good, galley limited and repetitive. Entertainment was like a high school gymnasium production. Drinks were good, cabin was nice not wow. Odessy of the seas next!
I found on Virgin when we did the Ibiza cruise that on the overnight stay in Ibiza, there was 1 activity on and 1 bar open on the WHOLE ship! They were really trying to push you to go and party in Ibiza, not even the club on the ship was open. Something that you wouldn't find on other cruise lines in my opinion.
Also you missed a review of the sunrise yoga on deck....loads of people dont realise how active the ship is in the morning and burning the candle both ends
I can imagine someone putting upside down pineapples on a door as a joke. I did put a glass with a pineapple symbol upside down just for laughs at a Carnival gift shop.
VV at one point said that their average age to that time was 47 with a range of 18-90s. Cruises longer than 7 nights do tend to skew older. I believe that you are cruising in March, so may be getting some of the spring break crowd. I really liked (and totally agree) with your discussion that the entertainment is "up to the edge, but not beyond it." I'm in my 60s and a bit conservative, and there was plenty to do...and yes, the drag queen events were totally advertised that way. The best thing for us was no kids trashing beverage stations, rushing elevators, pushing every button, etc. Overall, and excellent overview.....and I agree with what you have said.
Would you recommend this Cruise for singles under 40 aiming to meet other singles? Do they have singles daily actvities? Would you recommend any other Cruise for this? Thank you.
I sailed on the Valiant Lady on March 5-11, went on my own but had a great time, the food was awesome and the shows were great. Having no kids around was a plus as was the lack of mobility scooters, yes there was a couple but hardly saw them. I couldn’t really fault much at all although it would have been nice to have a better venue for karaoke. I’m the same age as yourself and definitely felt I was on the older side of the median age but didn’t feel out of place. Was it worth flying 20+ hours to Miami from Australia? Absolutely!

Overall 10/10 cruise!
I’ve never been on a cruise. What is the deal with the upside down pineapple it’s playing that.
What have you heard ? Great channel, please explain what does happen?
We just sailed on VL then March 19-25 sailing ( i think i recognize some people we saw in your video) and we have never had such a great vacation! We rebooked for next year. We love how nontraditional it was. We were not party animals, in fact we skipped scarlet night pool party. We didint see anything you would not see on a cable tv show etc.
Great to hear!
It’s kind of ironic that an 18+ cruise line is named Virgin.
I dk why either, but the owner and CEO also started Virgin airlines.
I know exactly why his company is called Virgin. His island is next to Little St James after all.
Richard branson and his friends were students and virgins when they //he started the college paper called virgin...
I prefer traveling on Slut ‘O The Seas cruise lines
Exactly. He is one sick individual that I hope gets brought to justice, as well as his “elite” friends.@@lyramidsummer5508
Looking forward to this video… I am one of those people wondering if virgin is for me… Lol… And my husband, of course
Haha, there are other elements that are different, but Virgin has its qualities
@@LifeWellCruised we have been cruising since 1993 and we are 70 years old… We love to dance and everything but I'm not sure that's the kind of dancing we would love to do… Lol
My girlfriend is on The Valiant Lady now and she is having a blast.
It is probably the same cruise you're on.
Please keep your reviews coming. They are absolutely terrific.
How fun! Say hi if you see me. Hope you’re having an amazing time!
@@LifeWellCruised He isn't there, just his girlfriend, as it says in his comment.
The most Risqué cruise I took was a nude cruise from Denmark to Norway thru the forges. it was pretty laid back and fun. Surprisingly its a good was a good way to meet other people.
Lol, I can imagine
To each their own!
What cruise line was this
At least in Scandinavia obesity isn't a problem.....different story in the US😂😂😂😂 YUK 😂😂😂
All thr warnings made me want to go!😅
Yup that is pretty much what I expected.
A lot of people onboard were the same. Just wanting a fun, kid free cruise with great food. Enjoy!!
GenX is between 1965 and 1980.
Hi llana 😊 great review, thank you ❤
Thanks for watching! 😊
This makes me feel better. We are already booked for February 2025 and I am like you said just looking forward to no screaming kids and kids in the hot tubs and parents letting their kids do whatever they want.
Currently on board
Lots of fun to be had by all
Fantastic! Thank you, Ilana! I wondered what y’all would think about the cruise. Sounds like it was a good sailing!
So on the ship you need a sweater?
So is Virgin Cruise Lines owned by the same co. that owns Virgin Airlines?
I found on Virgin when we did the Ibiza cruise that on the overnight stay in Ibiza, there was 1 activity on and 1 bar open on the WHOLE ship! They were really trying to push you to go and party in Ibiza, not even the club on the ship was open. Something that you wouldn't find on other cruise lines in my opinion.
Ibiza is a place I would enjoy a tour but not hanging around for an overnight “scene.” Thx for the info 😊
@@Buddy869-z9x I’m not sure if it was just because it was closing weekend in Ibiza (middle of October) or whether it’s always like that!
Thanks for all information 😊
Thank you!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
The pool seemed very crowded
Also you missed a review of the sunrise yoga on deck....loads of people dont realise how active the ship is in the morning and burning the candle both ends
We did our first Virgin voyage at 67 and 68 and felt very much at home.
Have seen upside down pineapples on doors on Carnival cruise lines. They state, "plays well with others." Will avoid those!
Great video ❤❤❤❤
You are so kind! Thanks for watching 😊
I can imagine someone putting upside down pineapples on a door as a joke. I did put a glass with a pineapple symbol upside down just for laughs at a Carnival gift shop.
Absolutely loved it!!!
Thanks for putting the effort into making this video - really appreciate it 👍
No squealing kids sounds amazing!!
Upside down pineapples signify swingers for those that do not know.
We didn't see the first one, damn.
Awesome information, as usual.
We LOVE Virgin!! Ages 44 & 48
My wife and I are swingers and enjoy Virgin cruises
True this may be why so many 20s & early 30s. Lol, there was definitely no kid like behaviour
Bliss cruise for the sexy win
After two cruises with Royal Caribbean, I’d give Virgin a shot. I was a little disappointed with my last trip.
Would you recommend this Cruise for singles under 40 aiming to meet other singles? Do they have singles daily actvities? Would you recommend any other Cruise for this? Thank you.
Must be a lot of pineapple signs on the door 😂😂😂
I sailed on the Valiant Lady on March 5-11, went on my own but had a great time, the food was awesome and the shows were great. Having no kids around was a plus as was the lack of mobility scooters, yes there was a couple but hardly saw them. I couldn’t really fault much at all although it would have been nice to have a better venue for karaoke. I’m the same age as yourself and definitely felt I was on the older side of the median age but didn’t feel out of place. Was it worth flying 20+ hours to Miami from Australia? Absolutely!
Can’t believe there’s no alcohol package ?
I bet that Ethan had a great time? i was wondering if there is always very loud music, like at the pool for instance?
Haha he did! Actually not overly loud
@@LifeWellCruised Thank you Llana.
Great video! Looking forward to the 2nd part.
Just came back from a RC Cruise full of little kids and I’m ready for an adults only cruise 😊 Thanks for the review!
Lol I can imagine
