When they were filming this episode Ron Howard was thinking I am not renewing my contract...LOL
His thinking was right. This is painful viewing. And I loved Happy Days.

This show jumped the shark about 5 times.
This got me through med school on the way the be a successful cardiothoracic surgeon today.
Potsie Weber is a true hero.
Solved my erectile dysfunction.
God bless you. This song made me realize I wasn’t cut out for med school, and instead I became an engineer. 😂
I bet Anson Williams now knows more about the cardiovascular system than he ever wanted to know after having learned and rehearsed this song.
Going by where he pointed when he sang, he doesn't understand what he is singing about

This is the first time I’ve seen this since I saw the original broadcast nearly 45 years ago. How time flies.
41 years later I still find myself at times whistling this song!! Amazing what stuff sticks with you.
So true..why im even looking this up? .I wind up singing this once in a blue moon myself. Its hooky.
Like cancer.
So THAT'S where this song came from. I remember this being part of the St. Joseph's medication commercials back in the early 2000's
I wrote this down, it was very helpful in biology class.
"I'm giving you an A ... **Fonz puts his arm on the teacher's shoulder** ... A+."
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Good gosh 😂 We waited for this stuff every week. Is his song educational? Yes. Is it cheesy? You better believe it !
That's what made it so much fun!
And, like the Fonz, is COOL!
I have that song on my play list.😆
It kinda proves that peoole learn in different ways.
For the time this was a newer concept that has been around for years. This was 1970's when standard education ruled. As cheesy as we may think, was to open the eyes.
@@kmn9181 ...i agree..this was also the era of "School House " and other music themes educatioal PSA's on tv ..as a child of the 70's i remember this stuff well
Ever the oddball, I liked this episode when it first aired, and I still like it now.
I like how Fonzie stood up for Potsie though. Even though he's usually such a Potsie.
I absolutely love the character called Potsie. In the old days when I was in high school, we watched Happy Days religiously with our Grandmother. Grandma passed away many years ago. since the time of her passing, I went to live in Hollywood and pursue my acting dream.
I worked as an extra on many shows. On one such show, I went into a studio, I don't remember which one, just off the set stood Anson Williams talking to another gentleman when they were done talking I walked over and said hi to Mr. Williams and told him that my Grandma was a big fan. He politely smiled and said thank you. I entered the set area and took a seat and watched the production being made. After the day was over, I went on home like always. The following week I was in my office when my Mother called and said that a cousin of mine had seen me on television, which was nothing new, I was always on television.
My mother went on to say that they had taken a really great cameo shot. I know it doesn't sound like much to anyone else but that was very nice of Mr. Williams. I never saw the show but I had great fun in LA.
I had the pleasure of meeting Alan Rich, who played the teacher during a film festival. An extraordinary talent.
The teacher gave him an “Aaay”.
Whoa!!
Correcto mundo!
Oh, you in the know, bro!
I remember watching this as a kid. I got up and went to the kitchen to get a snack.
Seriously?
@@jitsroller yup.
this song has been my head for the last 2 days! out of the blue. so happy I found this, maybe now my mind can stop singing it. 😂
I graduated hs at 18 in 1974 and had my daughter, I was 25, in 1981 so I was old enough to remember all of this, one of my all time favorite tv shows.
Just had the same thing happen today, but had to search the web to connect the dots on where this song originated. 😄
1950s setting with 1970s haircuts.
As much as I loved Happy Days and still do it was stuff like this that separated the cast further and further from what the show was truly about in the earlier seasons, Hot rods, sock hops, burgers and fries, illegal drag racing, etc.
How could they keep going with storylines only about those topics for as long as the show was on? That only brings you so far
@@brendalg4 I don't know genius, YOU TELL ME.
The storylines got so crazy, at one point Fonzie battled the Son of Satan to win back Chachi's soul.
they also stopped trying to emulate the 1950s look as well. These kids look like they were in the 70s dressed in 50s clothes. I bailed on the show when it got away from it's original formula. When it turned into The Fonzie Show, it was my jump off point.
By this time it was about smarmy moral messages delivered with a ham fist.
Perfect that Potsie was able to proove the fact he has the potential to provide information that he's smart
Who’s still listening to this awesome catchy tune in 2020 👏🏼 🤓
Like you were around when it came out
2024
doing my prereqs for nursing school and the first thing I thought of when I started my Anatomy 2 class was this song. Just started the heart/blood section, so this is my go-to! Thanks, Potsie!
Loved this episode. Sing it all the time.
Saw this once as a kid, still remember it!
Thank you kindly for uploading the song and enough content before and after the song to remind us about the episode. I remember my biology professor playing this song for my class one day and he asked if anyone was familiar with Happy Days. I and maybe one more person raised our hands. He then pointed at me to sing the refrain along with Potsie, but I was shy and didn't do it. Now I'm sad I didn't, but at the time I couldn't imagine myself singing for all to hear. :)
Absolutely brilliant!! Ohhh the 1970's!!
I actually remember when this originally aired. I was 8, in second grade. I thought it was awesome back then and still do now. The song stands the test of time. lol
I love watching the creativity and the fun this whole cast had during this series. Wonder if some students in todays world have done the same thing; put the lesson in a way they can understand and get to the same goal. :)
What I hated most about this clip was not the singing but how they didn’t let Potsie fight his own fight even though he was willing to stand up for himself
C K Maybe. In this EPISODE, I had a feeling that Potsie wasn't just the only one who was being interrogated.
Good point, but no, the singing sucked and it just about ruined my memories of Happy Days.
Anson Williams is very talented. I enjoyed watching and listening to him sing on happy days.
Lol
Oh...the memories! I just looked this video up.and sent it to my daughter who's training for a job; she has to memorize the high end food menu for a new restaurant
I was thinking of this song just yesterday!
I have to sing this in front of my class as an assignment ahhhhhhhhh.
Allan Rich, who plays the teacher, passed away on August 22, 2020. His heart no longer pumps his blood.
Yup...
Who's Richard Allen? It IS Allan Rich in this episode.
I remember watching this when it premiered. I was uncomfortable then and I am uncomfortable now
lol. My thoughts exactly.
Same - once the corn ball singing started I skipped over to the end
Worst scene in the shows history 😐
wildtill9 well you missed out Bucko!!
Or perhaps you're just a douche, "Brad".
I've been searching for this song online since 1998. Here it is. I can die now.
Anson seems like such a nice guy. I would love to meet him.
Evidently, he gets salty when people approach him, and call him Potsie lol.
@@PatI-zg9gm He used to, but now he embraces the role.
One of the greatest shows ever…. Fonzie gets a lot of the love, but Richie was the heart and soul of the show, and it featured a “strong” father, something that disappeared from TV in the 90’s.
RICHIE @ 0:15 : "He relates to music and lyrics."
PROFESSOR: "Charming, but impossible."
The creators of the SatMorn cartoon Schoolhouse Rock have proved otherwise, and they have shown it IS effective ☺
Just met him tonight he is a great guy!
Catchy and very catchy. It Pumps your Blood.😍😍😍
I liked this episode!
I almost failed the cardiovascular system test in EMT training because I was singing this as we went into the classroom to take the test.
The whole class passed by the way.
Even the shark thinks this clip is embarrassing.
Lol
Oh my god that was a great one
Not as good as I remember
Embarrassing but catchy😂
Agreed. This is awful. Loved Happy Days, but this? Yikes.
I love this show,it teaches you that if you want to get ahead in life...you need a Fonz...you know...to bully your teachers to give you an A+ 😆
Nope Potsie earned that A proving he's just unconventional in his learning
Had to listen to this for our biology class, this song basically gave me answers for an exam and the song slaps not gonna lie
YOU GOTTA BE FRIGGIN' KIDDING!!!!! 🤯🤯
I 💘 Love this episode Postie actually passes the class
Wow I just watched this episode and I had to RUclips it.
Fonzie makes a PURRFECT LAWYER!! Many times I wish he was in the Detroit Public Schools!! I know a few teachers and administration and higher up lever people in the Central Office could use some straightening up.
I find it hilarious that Fonzie was outside the classroom. He has no reason to even be at the school lol.
I love this scene and I love the song! :) I love happy days!!
I love this song 🎵
ME TOOOOOOOOOOOO
I’ll be humming this all week now. Ugh
man, i miss high-school so much. 30yo students that breakout into song during biology class.
for me it was shop class. tools made for better impromptu musical instruments.
Why is the teacher looking it up in the book? He is supposed to know this stuff. He's the Teacher!
Sadly, not all teachers do know their subjects.
Teachers only have to stay one page ahead of the students in the textbook
They were hitting him with so much information and so quickly, he was just left in the dust and couldn't follow all of the brilliant facts that were flowing out of them in beautiful song.🤢 Definitely the "jump the shark" moment of Happy Days.
It was supposed to be funny.
Did you ever hear of "verifying"?
How that song didn't appear on Schoolhouse Rock, is beyond me.
IKR?
Especially since both were on ABC at the time but it probably was an rights issue with the song far as why Schoolhouse Rock couldn't use it.
Got a test Wednesday, thank god for this song
This should actually be the definition of jumping the shark.
I know, this is when it went from cool to corny!!!!!!!!
You know, Happy Days had the actual shark jump
@@llarmstrong783 you know jumping the shark originally comes from happy days.
@@AccidentalPreppper my point exactly
Always loved potsir
OH MY GOD! My grandparents use to watch this show and loved it???
They have a lot of explaining to do.
I like this clip because it includes the late, great Allan Rich. He was so underrated. May he RIP.
This episode is a happy days classic
The fact that the first thing out his mouth to Potsie was an apology saved face. Even he learned the error of his ways that day
This song is in my head
Chumps... Happy days was awesome because of the entire series. Regardless of the show being different in later years, including characters and actors, it was and always will be great because of all of it. Chuck disappearing, fonzie switching to a leather jacket, Richie leaving, Joanie plus chachi, sharks, bulls, cousins, tescadaros, AL & Arnold... It all made up the iconic legend.
Amen..at last..a voice of reason..YOU are my new best friend...lol..👍😄
As with any group or event, it is the people that really make something great. The casting on this was golden. And you're right, there may be one or two episodes where it seems the writers were really scraping the bottom of the barrel, but with a cast willing to give it all they had to try to sell it, it worked overall.
I still dance to it now ❤️
I love this
I love this he has a amazing voivr
Does anyone remember the school house rocks videos growing up 😆
I know them and sometimes watch them here on RUclips
I haven't heard that in decades
my emt teacher told about this thank u
I don't remember this episode. Unfortunately, now I'll never forget it.
I love this episode! 🤣
Can Somebody Tell me What Genre Music”Pump Your Blood”is?
is it Like 1950s Kiddie Pop?
Considering Happy Days is Set in The 1950s,&,it Was Big With The Kids Back Then
always loved the fun of this one, wish they made others! LOL
This is single-handedly keeping my motivation afloat to get through my circulatory anatomy reading
Great for EMT School..
When I saw this scene I was done with Happy Days.
( After the song) "I'm giving you an A . . . "
Fonzie puts his arm on the teacher's shoulder
". . . A+."
Gotta agree with the Fonz! 😂
Country sounds!! 🤠🤠🤠
Greatest tv song in history. Wanna see anson sing again. Playing the jug? Are you kidding?!
I watch this episode on Sunday when I was at my friend house for his birthday
There was this crap, and then there was the good stuff. Richie exposed Fonzie's weakness over liver. Fonzie stopped speaking to Richie. Finally, Richie talked to Fonzie about it, asked why Fonzie was so upset,
Richie: "People tried to unmask the Lone Ranger all the time."
Fonzie: "Tonto never tried."
At that moment, Richie understood.
I remember this episode. I like what Fonzie said before the music…my boy doesn’t cheat!!!
Happy Days pumps the shark.
That’s how we were thought back in 6th grade!
Happy Days first 3 or I can even say stretch it to 4 seasons, Probably the greatest show ever on television. The Fonz Captured a moment in time somewhat like Beatlemania, I’m from the city ( South Philly) Which is a very cool city. But I had my leather jacket, Like a million other admirers. The funny thing is Henry Winkler, was not a street kid or cool in any way, so his character come on even a greater importance because he was brilliant. In the 70s we had The Fonz, vinny Barbarino, Robert de Niro, Al Pacino, Rocky, Saturday night fever. It was the era of cool Italians, or everyone, no matter what nationality. Aside from that back to this episode. Thank God the Beatles! Ended in 1970 as Rock Gods, because if they would’ve ended up like this it would’ve been tragic. In peoples minds it doesn’t really matter but if happy days ended after four years it would’ve went down as of the greatest show of all time. And the Fonz could’ve left as a can of Cool. You should’ve left after four seasons took the Role that he was offered in Greece next to Travolta. And secured his coolness for all time. But when you’re making money it’s hard to bail out of a successful show (sitcom). He became a parity of himself like a washed up fighter With nothing left. But once again the first three or even four seasons were absolutley magical.
Just before "Happy Days," he and Sylvester Stallone played a sort of a big-talk, no-action "gang" in New York. "The Lords of Flatbush."
I can’t imagine HW playing Kenickie in Grease. 🤔
Yes
Getting an a plus in a lot of college courses is no easy task.
Heard the song for the first time yesterday, it's the last episode in the DVD series so far. I wonder if anybody actually had anatomy and used this song to remember the answers.
I could use this for my anatomy class 😂
After season 2 the show blew
Love this show 😂😂❤❤
I love how the teacher said I'm giving you an A and then Fonzie put his arm on the teachers shoulder and then the teacher said A+ and I don't think the teacher knows anything about Fonzie and the teacher just could tell that he was a tough guy😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Still better music then mumble rap
Slowly but surely the 70's started pushing out the whole 50's look.
I remember this one
Years later I was the only black guy in biology class singing this.
His teacher was so inspired he changed careers and became the doctor on Seinfeld.
I Love posie he's Great at Country
Biology. Moves to his Song of Biology, Sweet. I Love how Fonzie does a Little Boby Jig to it, and Love how Fonzie says The proof is the Pudding in science faction prospective easy Straight forward Way. Fonzie and posie are the best.
Ahh childhood days
