It kinda proves that peoole learn in different ways. For the time this was a newer concept that has been around for years. This was 1970's when standard education ruled. As cheesy as we may think, was to open the eyes.

I absolutely love the character called Potsie. In the old days when I was in high school, we watched Happy Days religiously with our Grandmother. Grandma passed away many years ago. since the time of her passing, I went to live in Hollywood and pursue my acting dream. I worked as an extra on many shows. On one such show, I went into a studio, I don't remember which one, just off the set stood Anson Williams talking to another gentleman when they were done talking I walked over and said hi to Mr. Williams and told him that my Grandma was a big fan. He politely smiled and said thank you. I entered the set area and took a seat and watched the production being made. After the day was over, I went on home like always. The following week I was in my office when my Mother called and said that a cousin of mine had seen me on television, which was nothing new, I was always on television. My mother went on to say that they had taken a really great cameo shot. I know it doesn't sound like much to anyone else but that was very nice of Mr. Williams. I never saw the show but I had great fun in LA.
doing my prereqs for nursing school and the first thing I thought of when I started my Anatomy 2 class was this song. Just started the heart/blood section, so this is my go-to! Thanks, Potsie!
Oh...the memories! I just looked this video up.and sent it to my daughter who's training for a job; she has to memorize the high end food menu for a new restaurant
RICHIE @ 0:15 : "He relates to music and lyrics." PROFESSOR: "Charming, but impossible." The creators of the SatMorn cartoon Schoolhouse Rock have proved otherwise, and they have shown it IS effective ☺
They were hitting him with so much information and so quickly, he was just left in the dust and couldn't follow all of the brilliant facts that were flowing out of them in beautiful song.🤢 Definitely the "jump the shark" moment of Happy Days.
this song has been my head for the last 2 days! out of the blue. so happy I found this, maybe now my mind can stop singing it. 😂 I graduated hs at 18 in 1974 and had my daughter, I was 25, in 1981 so I was old enough to remember all of this, one of my all time favorite tv shows.
I love watching the creativity and the fun this whole cast had during this series. Wonder if some students in todays world have done the same thing; put the lesson in a way they can understand and get to the same goal. :)
I almost failed the cardiovascular system test in EMT training because I was singing this as we went into the classroom to take the test. The whole class passed by the way.
Thank you kindly for uploading the song and enough content before and after the song to remind us about the episode. I remember my biology professor playing this song for my class one day and he asked if anyone was familiar with Happy Days. I and maybe one more person raised our hands. He then pointed at me to sing the refrain along with Potsie, but I was shy and didn't do it. Now I'm sad I didn't, but at the time I couldn't imagine myself singing for all to hear. :)
As much as I loved Happy Days and still do it was stuff like this that separated the cast further and further from what the show was truly about in the earlier seasons, Hot rods, sock hops, burgers and fries, illegal drag racing, etc.
they also stopped trying to emulate the 1950s look as well. These kids look like they were in the 70s dressed in 50s clothes. I bailed on the show when it got away from it's original formula. When it turned into The Fonzie Show, it was my jump off point.
What I hated most about this clip was not the singing but how they didn’t let Potsie fight his own fight even though he was willing to stand up for himself
Can Somebody Tell me What Genre Music”Pump Your Blood”is? is it Like 1950s Kiddie Pop? Considering Happy Days is Set in The 1950s,&,it Was Big With The Kids Back Then
I can't believe I'm actually sitting here watching this. As kids we didn't have anything else but this. This episode was filmed the same season where the Fonz jumped the shark
I actually remember when this originally aired. I was 8, in second grade. I thought it was awesome back then and still do now. The song stands the test of time. lol
Heard the song for the first time yesterday, it's the last episode in the DVD series so far. I wonder if anybody actually had anatomy and used this song to remember the answers.
One of the greatest shows ever…. Fonzie gets a lot of the love, but Richie was the heart and soul of the show, and it featured a “strong” father, something that disappeared from TV in the 90’s.
There was this crap, and then there was the good stuff. Richie exposed Fonzie's weakness over liver. Fonzie stopped speaking to Richie. Finally, Richie talked to Fonzie about it, asked why Fonzie was so upset, Richie: "People tried to unmask the Lone Ranger all the time." Fonzie: "Tonto never tried." At that moment, Richie understood.
Fonzie makes a PURRFECT LAWYER!! Many times I wish he was in the Detroit Public Schools!! I know a few teachers and administration and higher up lever people in the Central Office could use some straightening up.
It's easy to be tone deaf. But it amazes me how people struggle to keep to a beat. It's just doing something over again after a constant 'x' amount of time
man, i miss high-school so much. 30yo students that breakout into song during biology class. for me it was shop class. tools made for better impromptu musical instruments.
I love that the teacher seems to need to look up the information in a reference book to confirm its accuracy. But when your HS class is filled with kids in their 20s and 30s who knows what to expect :-) (Anson WIlliams was born in 1949 so he was 30 in 1979)
I'm 63. This song just inexplicably popped into my head a few minutes ago. I had to find it. I'm so happy!
62 here and this song popped into my head last night so here I am watching it lol
44 and I hun this sing tgat I saw in a reeun vack intge 90s when Ivwas in my teens

This got me through med school on the way the be a successful cardiothoracic surgeon today.
Potsie Weber is a true hero.
Solved my erectile dysfunction.
God bless you. This song made me realize I wasn’t cut out for med school, and instead I became an engineer. 😂
When they were filming this episode Ron Howard was thinking I am not renewing my contract...LOL
His thinking was right. This is painful viewing. And I loved Happy Days.
@Steve Kay no he had one more season
@Steve Kay Season 7 was his last season.

This show jumped the shark about 5 times.
I bet Anson Williams now knows more about the cardiovascular system than he ever wanted to know after having learned and rehearsed this song.
Going by where he pointed when he sang, he doesn't understand what he is singing about

@@brendalg4GET THIS STRAIGHT. POTSIE MADE HIS POINT TO THE PROFESSOR AND WITH FONZ AS HIS LAWYER HE GOT HIS A PLUS IN THE CLASS. NOW DEAL WITH THAT.
I wrote this down, it was very helpful in biology class.
41 years later I still find myself at times whistling this song!! Amazing what stuff sticks with you.
So true..why im even looking this up? .I wind up singing this once in a blue moon myself. Its hooky.
Like cancer.
Good gosh 😂 We waited for this stuff every week. Is his song educational? Yes. Is it cheesy? You better believe it !
That's what made it so much fun!

"I'm giving you an A ... **Fonz puts his arm on the teacher's shoulder** ... A+."

I like how Fonzie stood up for Potsie though. Even though he's usually such a Potsie.
This is the first time I’ve seen this since I saw the original broadcast nearly 45 years ago. How time flies.
I remember watching this as a kid. I got up and went to the kitchen to get a snack.

Sadly, not all teachers do know their subjects.
Teachers only have to stay one page ahead of the students in the textbook

How could they keep going with storylines only about those topics for as long as the show was on? That only brings you so far

The storylines got so crazy, at one point Fonzie battled the Son of Satan to win back Chachi's soul.

Allan Rich, who plays the teacher, passed away on August 22, 2020. His heart no longer pumps his blood.

Who's Richard Allen? It IS Allan Rich in this episode.
The SatMorn cartoon Schoolhouse Rock used to do a song with similar lyrics, only they titled theirs "Circulation".
