Forster flathead lure fishing in early september

Today I headed out for a quick spring lure fish hoping to chase some flathead. It was a slow day with my first location not producing anything, a quick change of scenery and we managed to hook a couple and drop a bigger model
Gear Used:
Rod: Zodias 270L & Tcurve 2-5kg
Reel: Stradic 2500 FM & Vanford 2500
Line: 15lb jbraid expedition
Lure: 2.75" Shrimp in motor oil and watermelon red
