Great vid! I'm new to detecting, and was having a bit of a snuggle trying to figure my 705 out. Your walkthrough really helped, and earned you a sub. Cheers!
A friend just bought one, im not sure he,ll be glad, like u say, the beeps are all over the place, and its to bussy, im so glad so far with ny garret 300i 👍
I happen to stumble onto your video while doing research for a metal detector before I go out and spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars. The ladies ring with the description "CTR" is a Mormon ring that stands for "Choose The Right". I know that they make them from junk metal to silver to gold and even in platinum. I bought my wife one in 18K gold a couple of years ago, because we're Mormon.
Thanks to your reveiws I bought a Minelab Xterra 705 Gold. Your review was very clear and covered the machine completely. I just have one question. I'm new to metal detecting and was wondering if you think the 5"x10" coil that comes with it is good for coin and jewelry hunting or should you buy a different coil? And if so what would you recommend?
I should have invested in this detector when I started out 8 yr ago.. Man nickel 14 solid as for the nox the Vdi is more jumpy.. this detector locks right on tight..
to this day i feel the X-terra 705 gold pack with the DD coil was the hands down best detector ive owned. $350 invested and found me 4X that back in real jewelry and clad
@@ohdannyboyjustadiggin No i always shop for open box deals or very lightly used detectors. I find them all the time practically new and save 150-200 bucks.. Even my Equinox -600 i got for $425.. Alot of people give up after 2-3 hunts and sell off their gear.. not their cup of tea
Just a question, has this model been one of the ones that are coming up counterfeit. Im seeing it brand new for sale at way lower than retail on some website.
Hmm, there's a park here that I call the antenna park. Antenna park is so noisy that none of my machines can handle it. I wonder how the Xterra would do... Nice review! I have a few of those AA tokens too!

How is the pinpointing?
Good video. The numbers/symbols are too big/bold. Takes up lots of space.
