Bought 300 square foot of Mohawk home. Great price at Costco and is a great product. 12mm thick with pad attached. You can not cut this with a knife. Must have a saw or cutter. Great looking floor once completed. I would highly recommend.
Just had to let you know your video definitely helped us decide on this product for our basement...1800 sf of any was going to be quite an investment so its great to see it in real life
This flooring is BY FAR THE MOST DIFFICULT flooring to install! If you do choose to go w it, use seperate underlayment as well and coat the entire floor w liquid polyurethane or it will become damaged quickly
Another YT Channel soaked a piece of this Mohawk Wood Laminate flooring in water, for 4 days, with zero difference in the thickness, afterwards! Amazing!
Very well, I'm super pleased with this flooring. I have a Bissell wet mop vaccum cleaner and it gets the grime and dirt off these floors very nicely without damaging or overwatering them.
How is it looking now? Did you also put the PV foam and caulk underneath the floor board? I just purchased this product and am also thinking of renting it out, but am concerned about the water damage element. Looks great, by the way!
Looking great and holding up well. My airbnb cleaner likes a lot to and it makes their turn a lot faster. No to your question. And it says it 100% waterproof... I would go with a a vinyl plank instead of a laminate wood plank if you know it'll be in wet places.
Listen to Sean we have it and a couple spills later and it’s delaminating. If you clean the sill up as soon as it happens no problem. But if the moisture is not seen right away it’s ruined.
Sean, thanks for the detailed video, I’m interested in learning what was used on the outside corner of the bottom steps? I’m getting ready to install this. Was it another piece of stair nose? And before the stair nose was applied was each step cut back to a true 90 for the riser and step without and step overhang?
No underlayment. The subfloor on the steps was wood and the upstairs subfloor was plywood. Some areas of the plywood was a little warped so we had to reinforce it with nails to make it nice and level again. I don't recall the installers using self leveler.
Looks great. Is it the one with 2mm Pre attached pad? Did you add extra underlayment? How is it sound wise? We are considering using it for our second floor…
Yes to the pad question, no on adding extra underlayment. The installers did use some leveler in some areas of the sub floor. Sound wise is comparable to true hardwood floors off grade. Louder than carpet for sure but worth it in the long run for a short term airbnb type of use.
Hey I've installed like more than a few floors before and I'm telling you that they did this flooring is the most difficult flooring to install by far I mean it just took a while to get you like a tap block and I mean straps it helps if you do like one row at a time and you connect them side to side and then kind of try to click them all in at once if you can you know what I mean
Sorry but why did you go with laminate vs vinyl plank? Do you feel like laminate is more durable in an AirBNB type of settings ? Overall how’s it holding up?

Bro it's not real just wood in the core, it is compress board it glue and saw dust
I have a contractor who ripped me off by charging me 5500 to remove and install 790 sqf of flooring. I picked vinyle waterproofing.
I bought 10 boxes of the Costco Mohawk Wood Laminate flooring for $9.99 per box, back in Sept 2023, on clearance! sweeeet!
Got the Mohawk Millport Hickory from Costco $1.10 sqft. Doing out whole 2000 sqft house
3:14 Costco online includes shipping fees. In-store price will be cheaper on almost all products.
Thanks for the walkthrough! We found this in the new Costco ad starting 2/2/22...$1.59/sq ft!!! Going to install in our home 😊
Great price, congratulations.
Don’t do it! We have it in our home and if you don’t catch a wet spill right way it will delaminate.
Same here. Just bought it. Excited about it.
@@jonnyb89821that’s any laminate
Put Laminate in your video title and you'll get more clicks.
Did the mohawk include padding ?
Thanks for posting. Very helpful and well put together.

Great! Glad to hear it
Just bought this from Costco doing about 870 sqft, how much you paid for installation per sqft ? Thanks
Oh man, it's been awhile. Labor rates have gone up SO much since then. I want to say $1.50/sf

So how is it holding up? Did you try to mop it with water?

@@jonnyb89821 same thing. Put it in a bathroom kinda regretting that now had same issue. Rest of the house is fantastic.
So how are the floors holding up
Great so far, no complaints and still look great.
lol. That's not a knot in the wood, it's a burn mark from the saw when it was cut. 100% not real wood core on those things.
Good to know thanks for the tidbit
Looks great
Wood laminate flooring? Never heard of it put in that terminology. Is it wood or is it laminate.
Can you show how you trimmed out the open return on your bottom steps
Hows it held up 2 years later?
What color is this

Yes another piece of stairnose. And I'm not sure about the cut back to a true 90. (Sorry for the late response).
Did you use underlayment and what type of subfloor did you have?

Did you glue it down i heard you say that at the end of the video?
No glue.
Is costco not costcos I used to say the same thing lol
Thx
My boards keep coming apart as I move along.. tried everything.. ready to give up. They don’t seem to click or lock in place
Me too this flooring is junk

Great video! What did you use for the stair risers?
what is the color
Woodmill
Also, look through the video, I eventually show the sticker or label of the exact product and item number.
Sorry but why did you go with laminate vs vinyl plank? Do you feel like laminate is more durable in an AirBNB type of settings ?
Overall how’s it holding up?
No need to apologize. It was just the product that was on sale at the time of purchase.
Have you dropped water?
