Love this layout, love your locomotive builds. I plan on having my kid print the climax, s.d. warren engine and m-3. What do you think is the absolute minimum radius they will take? Do you think it would be possible to go tighter than what you have here? Great job! Keep posting!!!!
This turned out really nice. The shorty passenger cars are really great 3D prints. Is your 0-4-0 one of the Minitrains models with a lot of mods? It would be really fun to see with valve gear! I need to get done with house construction issues so I can start working on an actual layout this winter. Adult responsibilities are the worst! They keep getting in the way of model time. Your videos are motivating for sure. Great work.
It is a Minitrains F&C with a Toma Model Works body. I scratchbuilt the tender and made new locomotive frames. It was all built back before I knew anything about 3D. photos.app.goo.gl/EvxySKawjahWFEgWA photos.app.goo.gl/Y4Q72E9pEKiJmjYf7 photos.app.goo.gl/zo9BcojA4nGrH67CA
Yes the are mostly 3D printed. There is a groove in the ties for the rail to fit so I just glued the rails in place. But could have done it with printed spikes. I've done it that way and it works too. www.thingiverse.com/thing:5484575
Bonus points for running it at realistic speeds!
Perfect!!! Just the right speed for that layout, and very relaxing to watch.

I have most of them, some get tossed to make room lol.
did you 3d print the bridge trestles for this layout? how did you attach the trestles to the rails?
