Al Judy's Beautiful On30 Model Railroad!

- Al Judy is famous in the On30 community and has been custom building in this scale for years. He also runs the yearly narrow gauge O scale summer meet in Harrisburg PA . His work and custom built layouts have been featured in many model railroad magazines and he has written many articles over the years in On30 . I just heard the sad news that Al Judy has just passed away. Al was an incredible modeler and loved to share his talents. My deepest condolences to his wife and family. We will all miss him. We had a great time making the videos.Just a wonderful person.

Beautiful work by Al Judy! Exquisite pieces by many manufacturers that really shows what you can do with a modelers artistic ability and imagination. Another master at work. Incredible detail that brings color to life. Thanks for another great interview Al!

I grew up in the 60's. I remember those wooden loading docks. They were at the end of sidings on a dead end track to get produce and other goods in locally. Mostly produce though.

Gotta say, this is making me want to add some On30 to my O layout. This is absolutely beautiful. Fun fact, when I saw that NBR&N work car, I thought it looked familiar. I built it in the early 2000’s for a gentleman in New York. Pleasant surprise seeing it.

If you're in touch with Al on a semi-regular (or more) basis, please implore him to open up the Harrisburg June/summer meet to Sn2/n3. There's a bunch of Sn2 guys (I'm one of them) that are dying to set up and run at a show (more than the one time per year that we currently do). Al's been approached about this already and seemed open to it, but might just need a small push the see it through.
