Kinda late here, but If you choose a template for the signup forms, it says either "mobile only", "desktop only" or both. If you chose a "mobile only" template, it won't let you see the desktop version. So either build the form from scratch or choose a template for both mobile and desktop. You can see little mobile/desktop icons on the bottom of each template example.

Hei @Davie, that was such a great video! Whenever I search for email marketing, I ALWAYS see that, if you want to to email marketing, you have to own your business (this makes sense of course). But, as a beginner, I don't want to open a biz, I just need to try out the things that most inspire me, and learn and see which one works best; so, what's your advice on that? I mean, can I do email marketing for other companies online or even local businesses, and still get "paid" for that? I've tried to google it many times hahah, but I always see something related to affiliate marketing.. ideas?
You can easily build your skills by learning how to do email marketing, and then contact businesses that you believe you can help in improving their email marketing strategy and then let the clients flow in.

Stupid question I think ANYONE in comments could answer, but do you buy the software for the clients and add them or do you get on their emails and they add you? Like, Do you come in as already having the service things like Klaviyo?
The client has the software and adds you. You need preexisting knowledge of how things work, such as Klaviyo's interface, some good design skills and copy.

Hi Davie, I gotta say great viddeo mate! your videos do pop up in my RUclips feed from time to time, and you are just amazing when it comes to providing valuable information. Although I wanted to ask about one thing, a friend of mine has recommended me an email prospecting tool called Aeroleads for my small business, but I don't know what should I do, I'd like to know your review about this product too, if it's not too much to ask.
Feel free to use any email software you would like, but Klaviyo is just the most recommended tool for email marketing in eCommerce and you'll find a lot of reputable experts will recommend Klaviyo as well as it overpowers many others!
Can you opt for Privy instead?

Love this, but I feel there are better ways to get signups than discounts, that not only benefit the product more but also increase signup. I could be wrong, but for me personally I would rather sign up to something like an article that gives me some sort of value. For the lemon scrub, could be "7 Habits To Have A Cleaner Home". The viewer gets value and you can make the article really dive deeper into the uses of the scrub, it can go hand and hand and naturally make people trust the product and brand more. The issue with discounts and cold traffic is they do not trust your business, they have never seen it. And a discount is not really value unless the person decides to buy, but the decision to buy for many people is a decision that requires a ton of trust. Many will just overlook a discount unless it virtually allows them to in a way test the product (getting it for a HUGE discount), but then again a huge discount could devalue your brand as it then gives the impression that the product is not even worth the full price. An article has no commitment other than time and if it is valuable then they will take the time. Not to mention the SEO benefits of having articles. Thoughts?
To add I feel discounts are best used to thank customers and holidays. Thanking a customer with a discount and to get them to share with a friend, they already trust the brand and like the product, they tell a friend (of course you will naturally trust a friend) and then a discount is icing on the cake.
It would be something you purely split test as they can change depending on the audience you are targetting and their age group. Discounts are the most generic as everyone loves a discount and will always provide something in return for money back.
@@DavieFogarty Yes but I think today discounts are so overused as a form of "value" to get someone to buy. Especially in dropshipping. I still think there would be far better ways to get people to sign up. The goal should be LTV not impulse buyers. As like I said discounts you still need trust involved. If I trust a brand and bought from them before then yes a discount would certainly get me more intrigued to buy again. But if it is my first purchase and first time ever seeing the brand, for me personally I still would not sign up. But yes definitely something to split test
@@officialjessecarr Bit of a late reply, but being in the ecommerce industry and seeing a lot of clients data, sign-up submission rates are the highest with discounts as opposed to e-books, articles, etc. Always base your beliefs and decisions from data, not your personal feelings towards a topic. There are companies on TikTok targeting over 40 year olds, despite many people believing it's just a dancing app for kids.
Klaviyo QUESTION: using SMS ... am I able to use KEYWORDS that sends an AUTOMATED REPLY to the user and how does that work?

As you begin to grow in the eCommerce space, you will eventually move to Klaviyo as it stands as the best email marketing platform for eCommerce.

You will be able to use email marketing regardless of whether you are building a private label or simply dropshipping. This is to contact customers who have previously visited or purchased from your store.

How I can contact you for business purpose ?
Thanks Davie for a lot of this valuable information. I did notice however with most of the email marketing strategies a lot of these scenarios are for more well-developed businesses that have developed a Niche to their market they address the solutions they provide for the market. How would an E-Commerce site with relatively little traffic integrate such methods? The reason why I ask is that most businesses typically don't like to spend monthly Fees for email software when they have no email lists to work with and an opt-in might do it however from my previous experiences a lot of people don't opt-in unless the person has to place an email in the checkout.
These days with the ecommerce industry only getting more competitive, it's important to find a way to differentiate yourself. Understandably Klaviyo isn't the most beginner program to begin with which is why we have offered multiple options with free starter plans. You can start from there and grow your plan as you grow your business!

I just wanted to know, when you were a minor, how did you deal with the cash-flow? Did you only use paypal, open a bank account for minors or use your parents stuff? Tbh I’m saving up this year to get enough capital to start the business as soon as I’m 16 (that’s when it’s legal in France)

I wondered what happens, if the customer who Just entered the Sign up Form and emidietly Uses the Code without accepting the 2-opt-in (sec confirmation email), he would probably still get the welcome series, even if He already purchased.. is there a way to Prevent that Issue?
You can remove the second opt in and they will immediately get added to the list. But as a result you will have to clean your list more regularly.

Privy helps to collect customer emails and Omnisend is also a good alternative.

You will need to split test it. They can garner more attention, but can also be seen as spam to the email provider.
Do you use Shopify plus for your stores?
you can start with the lowest tier and increase your payment tier as needed. Shopify stores doing 7 figures + are usually on the shopify plus tier at that stage.

I have klavio and I have welcome series’s set up but all my emails go to the customers spam box. Why is this????
IT could be something to do with your domain deliverability or your emails are too loaded in size. Google either problem and identify the solution.

You can set up Email Marketing for any business, but Klaviyo is just considered gold standard for eCommerce businesses specifically and Shopify is just the most common platform.
Thanks Davie, My domain is hosted in outlook for the email, if I was going to use Klaviyo do I need to remove that or can I still use Microsoft as the hosting provider?
Davie is using Mac. He does not know about Microsoft :P Maybe you can ask it to the support of Klaviyo?
Klaviyo is used to send email campaigns and automations flows out to your email lists, but it doesn't hold your emails at all! As long as you've got the correct email in the sender emails (Your own domain email), then you will receive it whereever you're hosting your emails which in this case is outlook.
@@DavieFogarty Thanks mate, just did some more research on this, where I was getting confused was where we put in our own "send from" address. Usually to be able to send from an email address you'll need to setup the domain with that service, but what Klaviyo do is use a "via Klaviyo" note in the recipients email, which means we don't need to setup the domain like you said.
