Welcome to the Sheraton Addis hotel in the heart of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. According to Tripadvisor and Google reviews, this is the best luxury hotel in Addis but we will be the judges of that!
Overall, this hotel is beautiful. From the spacious main reception, the numerous fountains outside, the small shopping area inside, it truly gives a nice luxury feel. With that being said, the rooms are definitely dated and not to standard with the rest of the property, especially when you consider the price per night for even a standard room.
In terms of food, they have many different restaurants, we highly suggest Shaheen, their Indian restaurant which was amazing! The breakfast buffet was also very impressive in terms of selection.
Finally, the pool is s good as it gets in terms of hotel facility. Very large with a bar, kid section and more. The perfect place to spend a warm summer day in Addis Ababa.

We really do love it!
So much exciting things to come :)
There sure is!!
I like the way you connect naturally, it makes your videos great and nice
Thank you so much 😀
A most wonderful and colorful presentation on the delicious food served on your trip to Ethopia! Wow! 😊💫
Thanks a lot 😊
The introduction to your videos is very professional. It is not only there that they do not want professional cameras, even here, thank goodness phone cameras are getting better. The beautiful details in the Ethiopian buildings... Wow!
The names of the wines👌👌👌👌10:10 Wow!
The gym is wonderful and the song 💃💃💃Ethiopia is very beautiful.
Hey I really appreciate all of this Berina! :)
Looks nice! Loved today’s soundtracks too! 😊
Much appreciated ;)
I wish I were an Ethiopian. Great people, food, coffee, landscape..❤
Great people for sure :p
we're human being after all we shall not let invincible boarders divide us, Sincerely your Ethiopian brother👍
Love this hotel, had a chance to stay in it. Really enjoy it.

I love you so much, I always watch your video. from ethiopia 🇪🇹
Thank youuu!
I know you guys aren’t pregnant but you never fail to deliver 👍🏾
🤣🤣 thanks!!
😂😂😂😂
Lol...such humour 😂
Trace: Dave should I tell them or should you? (*Smug smile*)
He is working hard to do so... Pregnancy 😂😁💔
Right next to the hotel is Friendship park which is the biggest park in all of addis ababa, and Ethiopia.
Ouu that’s true! It is nice!
Biggest park in Ethiopia?? You may say city park, but there are plenty of other parks all over Ethiopia. FYI Tourists come to visit culture, tradition, history, nature , and definitely not city parks.
I was great fun of yours while in Kenya, now I gonna follow you wherever you go while giving us quality content.
Wow thanks :) Heading to Oman Friday!
The balcony view is pretty cool💯
Thats for sure! 100%
Yo Dave Mani I'm super happy that I saw your video about Addis Ababa.I'm from Dire Dawa, Ethiopia but I currently live in Calgary, Alberta.I thought you're American but when you mention the price of the hotel in Canadian money, I said to myself He is a Canadian! Enjoy your time in Addis Ababa, if you get extra time go to Dire Dawa and Harar.I liked and subscribed the channel.
Hey thank you so much! Tracey and I are actually from Halifax. :)
Gracias por mostrarnos Etiopía. Gracias por los subtítulos en Español. Saludos desde Barinas, VENEZUELA🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪
Thanks for watching the full series my friend! :)
@@DaveMani De nada.
Located in the heart of the Ethiopian capital, Sheraton Addis, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Addis Ababa sits on a hilltop overlooking the city, safely nestled between the National Palace and the prime minister’s residence. This 5-star hotel in Ethiopia offers stunning views, acres of open space and a location just 20 minutes from Bole International Airport. Mixing African refinement with modern accents, the unique design of Sheraton Addis stands as the epitome of gracious living. A wonderful place to stay.
We thought it was a pretty good hotel but the Hyatt is better we found.
love your vid miss watamu though and all the lovley hotels u guys are COOL!!!.
Thanks so much! We miss the coast too
Wow Ethiopian sky line looks amazing….the hotel is good too enjoying this series 💕
Addis is a very nice city :)
I can't wait to get to Ethiopia, I would like to see more of the town and people though. Curry and Naan bread anytime of the day. The food do look very good
Check oit the previous video where we went all around Addis including Merkato market. 👍🏼
The night skyline of Addis is stunning ❤❤❤
It is beautiful!
Thank you guys for showing the good images of my beloved country, Enjoy 😊
Our pleasure and more to come ;)
Awesome 🙌🙌👍👍
Thanks!

I always go there with my husband & son. Its a calm place .
It is and the pool is amazing!
awesome!!
Thank youp
Tracy trying to hide the little mic in her hand while drinking her wine 😅
Hahaha
Loved your video's, one suggestion if you play local classical music like (Ethiopian airlines classical music or Mulatu Astatke jazz) as back ground music even much better. Actually you can use local music wherever you traveled can create more connections on your video's. Thanks for presenting us your travel experience.
Sadly I can't because of copyright laws. I did look for that kind of music to licence but did not find any. If you know where to find licensable Ethiopian music, please send me an email or DM on Instagram. ✅
All I can say loving you guys
Wow thank you :)
Oh , I miss my beloved country 🇪🇹 😢
Ethiopia is great :)
@@DaveMani Yes , and thank you so much🙏
Hyatt Addis is probably newer and fresh...yo should try that at least for a nite....
When are you going back?
Would love to see your review on the skylight Hotel.
Sadly we didn't make a video there but one is coming next week about the new Hyatt.
You're right on steep hotel prices in Addis! Hosting the African Union HQs with teeming diplomats and over 54 heads of state gatherings makes accomodation prices way off the hook.
Mark you, it seems you're there during "low season" and the rates are bearable.
That is very true!
Thank you so much, visit Ethiopia 🇪🇹
Our pleasure :)
I’ll be staying here in November. What did the breakfast cost and how about the price range of items in the room stock drinks?
Everything is SUPER expensive. And even after having stayed at many very nice hotel all around the world, this place is just incredibly expensive.
Have you seen the unity park(the second palace of menelik ||) ? We want a vlog there
Yes! Beautiful space. 🇪🇹👍🏼
In the building watching from Barbados 😎😎😎
Cheers :)
I hope you will visit Bahirdar and Arbaminch
Not this time sadly but we did Bishoftu, Omo Valley and Lalibela!
Sheraton is all about status and location. Ppl you run into in the lobby is crazy and the location is on point for view.
Fair but the Hyatt is MUCH better! 👍🏼
yo tell me . when are you launching your travel guide agency .. so that some of us in Canada can follow your foot steps in discovering Africa in different way
If you have enough time, Africa is best discovered spontaneously without tour guiding. Just ensure you have travel documents in order, travel insurance and enough money then hit the road.
Tour guides tend to box travellers into those "tourist traps" which usually don't portray Africa in its full glory.
We are actually working on a Travel guide for Kenya right now. :)
Tracy the coffee girl must have been elated being in the "Spiritual Home of Coffee" that is Ethiopia.
Coffee plant is native to Ethiopia and the locals' social lives revolves around coffee drinking
She did drink a LOT of it loll.
@@DaveManiGreat to hear that!
You should be the biggest fan of Kenyan tea to balance it out with Tracey 😅
Mark you, Ethiopian coffee is enjoyed in two stages hence being tedious. First for the smell, one draws in the aroma during the roasting ceremony then the bitter taste after brewing. That's why it's served in those mini cups.
With Kenyan coffee, whether instant or filtered, both the aroma and taste comes at one go! The taste is alkaline mild with strong aroma. That's why global coffee houses prefer Kenyan coffee alongside the Colombian one.
As for the tea, Kenyan one is the best of them all followed by Sri Lankan one. Rich black, strong smell and tangible lingering taste.. Kenyan tea is used to blend other teas from Asia and Africa.
You make amazing commercial for sharaton
Thank you :)
Wow wow amazing beautiful country man❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much 😀
Like ur video!
Thanks for liking
Hotels in general, which has better between Kenya & Ethiopia? I'm curious.
Kenya ofcourse..we are 2nd after tanzania
1st Egypt 🇪🇬 2nd is Nigeria 3rd is Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and Morocco 🇲🇦 4th Kenya 🇰🇪 is the 7th. Egypt 🇪🇬 17,163 hotels and Nigeria 🇳🇬 7,809 hotels. Ethiopia 🇪🇹 6,356 hotels. Kenya 🇰🇪 3,588 hotels.
Nairobi for sure has more but Addis has newer one like the Hyatt which is one of the best I've see in the world.
Definitely worth that rank👍👍👍👍👍And $258 a night for a hotel of that level may bite the pocket but it is actually OK.
It was pretty good but for the sane price range the Hyatt Addis is much better.
EAST AFRICA SEEMS TO VE DEVELOPING VERY FAST
It really is!
This is for any foreigners and Ethiopian live abroad those who want to travel to Ethiopia, get info only from official sources that are unbiased. I suggest traveling to Omo that's where the adventure is: the rest is fable. As for me, all most all places are safe especially for foreigners in Ethiopia; Even though, Ethiopia has domestic issues like recently concluded conflict in Tgraie which by no means that will affect foreigners for the reason being Ethiopian are not xenophobic. There are no robberies. But hustlers more likely which I no mean drug dealers. When you travel to Addis especially around Merkato, Piassa, Mexico etc there are minor theft. An other thing becarful of cellphone, or gold neckless sneachers particularly in Mercato. Advisably get a tour guide, if you wanna see Mercato. When you want any service or items ask price before hand. It is also good to do prior research before travel. Be safe and enjoy your travel!
No country is perfect but overall we had a great time in Ethiopia! We of course went for a few days in Omo Valley and it was FANTASTIC!!! This video goes live tonight at 7pm EAT. 👍🏼🇪🇹
How much was your total spend from landing first day to departing last day everything included?
I couldn't say...
@@DaveMani come on Dave, rough estimate?
I just got back to the United States from visiting my wife in addis ababa im waiting for usa to approve her to come anyways was that hotel price per night?
I don't remember exactly but it was fairly expensive. Check here, we listed everything including the Hyatt which is much better.
www.davemani.com/ethiopia
If you have time, we would love to see Hailey Resort, I am sure you will love it
Sadly we are leaving tonight BUT there is one more hotel video about the Hyatt coming 2 different Kuriftu resort, a video about Lalibela and a video about the tribes of Omo Valley coming up! :)
@@DaveMani im from ethiopia and im see some traveler videos....and i invite to u see ...Black man da traveler..and kino yves videos....i love u dave mani and shes😍
Kenyan couple enjoying life in Ethiopia❤❤
Always :)
How often do you give citizenships lol because ….
@@Black-lioness it’s not real😭😂
Wow 😊😍😍
:D
No. 1 hotel with amazing service
It good but the Hyatt is better :P
I’m going to adis abba and we have a boulcony
Nice
Addis usually has a lot of diplomats in hotels, so for security reasons they dont like cameras
So does Nairobi, Washington and London but they don't have those policies... My problem is the no camera but use your phone as much as you want rule... Makes no sense to me.
I love you guys. Please visit Skylight hotel also.......
I slept one night there it was so beautiful and ethiopian food is so nice.i wish to go there soon
I did but didn't make a video. Out of all the hotels we visited, the Hyatt is the best.
I think that you should visit the Hyatt!
We did! Video coming up this Wednesday.
Hi.Your right its pricey but I hope the experience was worth it. Its still looks like a nice place though🌝
It still a very nice hotel. Only the room was disappointing.
@@DaveMani After reaching the end of the video, I agree especially the huge breakfast buffet options, heated pool, running track... definitely a unique experience 👌🏿. Looking forward to more videos from you guys🌝
@@nyawivlogs bro!work on ur language skills...they were literally complaining that the pool is cold😂
You should guys stay more in Ethiopia because it’s A lot of things to see u can not boring in Ethiopia.
You're right but we only had 6 weeks. There are more videos to come about 🇪🇹!
Dave, it's Sheraton 5-Star Hotel, that why expensive 😊
But the rooms are not 5 star anymore as they are very old. The Hyatt Addis is SOOO much better! ❤️🇪🇹
wow❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
:)
I know you guys aren't pregnant but you never fail to deliver 👍👏
Hahahaha thats a good one! 🤣👍🏼
Hi Mr.copy right
As a local i reckon the Sheraton needs to be spruced up, and doesn't offer a good value for money. The Hyatt seems to the place to be IMO.
We are at the Hyatt now and this is where it's at!!! 👍🏼🇪🇹
I'm traveling to Ethiopia, so I'm really enjoying your video series! Do you know why the hotel won't allow you to use your camera? Are you having problems vlogging in the city? I watched another video and he was getting yelled at for using his camera even though he was only filming himself talking.
You will be fine. Some people don't like being on video including me. But if you are going, don't go out of the city. The government itself will kidnap you. We have an unstable prime minister. He is turning Ethiopia into the next North Korea.
@@binalfewmecuriaw2611 Really? I plan to travel to Lalibela, Omo Valley, and possibly Tigray. Is it not safe to travel to those places?
@@KerrySomewhere Bahir Dar and Lalibela should be fine. Tigray is not stable yet. Tyrant Abiy has totally decimated it. Pretty much all part of Oromia is not safe at all. The bandits take people ransom. You only make it alive if you have money to pay them. Omo is safe but you go through Oromia which is very dangerous. The whole Ethiopia used to be extremely safe. Unfortunately not anymore because of Tyrant Abiy Ahmed. And if you have to travel to Bahir Dar and Lalibela, don't use the bus. Fly either to Bahir Dar or Lalibela from Addis.
@@binalfewmecuriaw2611 thanks. I was under the assumption that Tigray is safe now. It's good to know that Lalibela is safe. I wasn't planning to take a bus across the country. My plans are to fly. Do you know if Harar is safe?
@@binalfewmecuriaw2611 why are you creating bad image of our P.M and country? All the parks and green areas which most of tourists visit is actually made by P.M DR.Abiy ahmed atleast you need to appreciate that....
Sky light Hotel is nice and new but Sheraton is old and still has the classic old traditional feeling, and still best in my opinion!! Looks like you having so much fun and best restaurant and menu choice!🎉 🤩
To be honest we've visited those 2 hotels plus the best western and the Hyatt and the Hyatt is the winner for best hotel in Addis. 🇪🇹
I don't know but can you try Hilton to if you can
I didn't try that one but out of the 3 biggest in town, my opinion is that the Hyatt is the best.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cheers!
The number 1 hotel in Ethiopia 🇪🇹 is skylight hotel not Sheraton
Not really. Sheraton has a nice compound but in terms of hotel Hyatt Regency is way better than both Sheraton and Skylight.
maybe skylight and hyatt might have a modern rooms but none of them are as expansive and classic as sheraton.
But the new skylight 2 is very good too.
According to google reviews, Sheraton was a point higher than skylight
I like Hilton.❤
Sheraton look great but the gym need more facilities. Hyatt is the best hotel in Ethiopia they will give you the best service ❤
I agree 100%! The Hyatt is the BEST!
Surprised you havent commented about one obvious fact...hands down the best coffe in the world - from the country that discovered the coffe bean.
I personally hate coffee. All coffee haha. Tracey did love it tho. ☕️
Welcome Home
Thank you friend!
I thought it's cold at night. Never needed AC
Not cold enough for Canadians! :p
Team Forged Pacific 🙌
Let's go!!!
❤❤❤
cheers!
DAVE and TRACY- Better skyline, Nairobi or Addis Ababa?
Good question. I guess it really depends from where you look from. That being said, addis is much bigger than Nairobi but does not have as many skyscrapers. 🇰🇪🇪🇹
AGREED
❤️Ethiopia 🇪🇹 👍
Yeah :)
Yeah :)
❤❤❤❤❤
:)
No way 441$ befor 3 monthe I paid there about 160$ a night with breakfast
Well that is a big jump loll
Kenya hospitality is top notch in Africa. Trust me.
True
...ok we gonna start with coffee, ofcourse it is essential.
You got that right!
Sheraton is outdated, you should go to skylight hotel next time
100% agree. We also visited the Sklylight but the best of the best is the Hyatt for sure.
Currently the best hotel in Addis is hait regency and sky light
Hyatt for sure! We were there last night and it was AMAZING!
🎉❤
:)
Then having office stuff in the drawe is cuz a lot of business ppl stay there
Fair enough, we just had never seen that. I mean in 2023, most people work on laptops.
GO TO NEW DAY HOTEL IN HAYA ULAT AND THANK ME LATER.
We are at the Hyatt Addis tight now and it can't get better than this :p
❤❤❤ my home ❤❤❤ thanks 🙏❤❤
Our pleasure!
high bro, i want to discuss with you about one issue
Let me know
Please don't tell me that you didn't visit the Mountain part of Ethiopia after leaving Addis. Whether Siemen Mountain or Bale Mountain.
We are not done yet! :)
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉👍👍👍
Cheers
You guy's have to check Haile grand Ethiopian hotel belongs to the great king Haile Gebire Selassie 2nd
Next time for sure.
