You need to use Oil Paints and Liquid White... You paint on a thin layer of Liquid White on the canvas first before you start painting anything else :) The Liquid White helps to blend the paints. You can order it from Bob Ross .com or Amazon. And then you can get a cheap oil paint set. Also you'll need some baby oil for cleaning the brushes. Either way the painting came out good :)
Nice advice but you missed out on some things. You need to get natural bristle because synthetic brushes make brush strokes more visible. You also need paint thinner to clean the brushes, not baby oil. I guess baby oil works ok but paint thinner is better for cleaning the brushes. Also a proper palette knife is a must-have
She forgot to wet the brushes.......by wetting the brush you get more pigmentation and you can blend easier.....that's why your struggling at 3:05 and ect. But the it's really good though!!
1.) Bob uses oil paints not acrylic because oil paints stay wet for a while so you can go in and blend it all together. He also covered the canvas in liquid white which keeps the canvas wet so the colors blend better. 2.) You didn't wet the brushes causing the paint to just not do anything. And acrylic paint drys extremely quick once put down so it's harder to blend. If blending you gotta do it like right away but considering you need to put multiple colors down it wont work. You'd have to keep going back and forth with those select colors to blend it in to each other.
no hun you are supposed to be using OIL PAINTS! also u needed to apply a thin layer of liquid white paint before u start that's why nothing was blending! good efforts tho

Wow pretty😍😍 pls do more of these. Did you cover the canvas with white paint before starting? Then it would have been easier to blend the colors!👍

U should paint the canvas white at first then put your colours on and your brush strokes are terrible but all art is art
