As usual Anvil Industry did a great job, only problem being that I don't own a 3D printer, so I'll wait 'til (hopefully) they'll do them as resin minis. naturally a more "spectacular" (read: mimetic) paint scheme could be used, such as a desert camo as in GW1.
I saw Alien - scared the shit outta me first time, Aliens loved from the get go, and Predator. When I first saw Starship Troopers it came as a pleasant surprise to me and I've loved it ever since. Always wanted some winged Nids like the dudes in Starship Troopers, GW dropped the ball not having Shrikes in 10th I think. I'd have bought some especially to go with the Prime. Hey ho.
There are many SF skirmish and RPG rules that you could use to play Stargate. There have been 2 official licensed RPGs that I know of. I've played SG-1 with Stargrave, Space Station Zero, and Fistful of Lead Galactic Heroes, Space Weirdos would work fine too.. Papsikels make not-Jaffa STLs and there was a licensed mini range about 10 years ago.

Loved this. Would definitely play a STT game if there was one. But I guess the printed minis and some nids would make for a great base concept to play

Well that have so many sellers set up that you can buy the parts directly from so they really have thought of everything.
Rebel Minis produces the metal models from the Starship Troopers game. No plastics though
