Phish head for 30 years. Someone got me to finally invest part of my day into checking UM out. Had me all over the place for a min, he was right “let’s groove we’ve got some time here”. So I did and watched the whole show. Refreshingly sick funk jams with a beautiful under flow of rhythm and percussion. Super impressed 🙏
Umphries my only thing on my bucket list is to see you live your greatest fan from south Africa love and loud you are phenomenal I Shure hope you get to read my message
I was having a strange trip the other night and knew these guys could help me out. At one point someone says "we're just going to settle into a groove, we have a little time".. MAN, that applied so perfectly to my situation, and I had a wonderful night from that point on.
Funny how things work like that man. I am coming back from a pretty rough spot in life in general. Took a good trip, alone, listening to umphreys and remembering ME! Needed some help on the "trip" of life lol. Needed that!. G'day friend!
@Nick Johnson haha. That sounds pretty slick man. If you wanna email me I'll give you my facebook info and we can keep in touch. Would like to see how it works out
My first exposure to UM! I just found a nice comfy spot in the hard grass, used my Camelback as a pillow, pulled my English D Tigers hat down, and soaked in the sounds. Awesome. Seriously one of my best moments of the year 2017.
If UM is at Roo.....odds are it will be one of the top performances of the festival. My first show back in 2005 at the Seattle Showbox - life changing!
Sooooo smooth... (old guy talking here)...rembr phish 97 tour, same feeln. This beyond that believe me. Railbirds sense it, non players of instrmnts know it. Flowin ear candy baby, play whatever u want moments. Yeah, that's me grinning over there
I've been listening to this and Phish Amsterdam non stop lately! Can't go back in time but I get to experience this now! My hat off to Phish for having another career peak...I still want that crisp 97 funk though!
Who can mix Frankie Goes To Hollywood with White Zombie, then segway into Pink Floyd? Apparently Umphreys McGee can, i'm 61, an old Deadhead, prog rock junkie, and UM blows my mind! I will be seeing them for the first time in a few months, cannot wait!
No shit. I have like 5 different live versions of their song "Phil's farm" downloaded on my phone and the only thing they have even remotely in common is the first 3 minutes of the song... and even that is still quite varied. These guys know how to fucking jam
I've been to some scorching UM shows. Never forget my buddy rushing out from the crowd drenched in sweat..."Dude, they know its hot as balls in here, but they keep playing Extra Grimey!"

Such a GREAT show men, just put this on and let it flow it's way through my house for a couple hours. Very therapeutic.
I just discovered these guys and as a classic rock guitarist I'm enjoyng this very much. Great musicianship and grooves.

My first UM show.
Michael Maness o
I love that they played the old 2nd verse from The Floor. Been missing that.
Jackson Portell is there a new 2nd verse?
The sound and lights for this are immaculate. UM has one of the best crews in music today.

I'm tingling watching this. This was the best show I saw this year at Roo. Your day set was heavy, too. But this was seamless. Thank you guys so much.

Love y'all, see you in Chatt this weekend!
People who don't know them don't understand the amount of improv they get into. It's off the dome like 50% of the show
