And she explains the obi and how it works with the kimono. She then said that she loves the look and she respects geisha's of the past.

This process is somehow so beautiful to watch. And the white paint equipment would be rly great to use in cosplay to apply different skincolors :o I would want to move to Japan just so I can wear a yukata or kimono everyday :D

This is so interesting to see. Found out 14 years ago that my dad's side of the family has Japanese background which is why my last name is so unique to hear. It's not common like Hispanic last names are. Makes me wonder how my great-grandfather was and if his mother dressed like this when he was a child. Wish I could know more about my Japanese background but so far it hasn't been easy.
I don't think Japanese women just dressed like this casually, they only dress like this if they are a geisha or maiko.
