Their track “Just” is criminally underrated. It’s easily one of their best tracks and sends me into a trance every time I hear it live.
just about to play it now, I'm seeing them in Brisbane in January, as I missed them in favour of Kendrick at Glastonbury!
What a track man!
Nicely produced video! First song i heard by them was Glue in 2017. That song has been my favorite ever since. Such a perfect blend of melancholy and grooves.
Heard them live for the first time in 2019 at DGTL and saw them for a second time last weekend in Antwerpen. What a great live show that was!
I do miss some of their earlier work on your list, like: 'Brassica - Tears I Can Afford (Bicep Remix)' or 'LYK LYK'.
Have you heard of KAS:ST? I think they belong on the same trailblazing list as BICEP and Jamie XX etc. Such diverse tracks from them ranging from techno, dnb, house to ambient and everything in between. The second half of the song 'Lost Souls' has the same breakbeats you are talking about in your video :)
Anyways, keep up the good work! Subbed!
Thanks so much! was a fun one to make, got a new vid coming this week that ups the production even more!
@@JackWebbMusicClub Awsome, looking forward to it Jack!
Bicep closing the West holts on Sunday night, they will send everyone home in dreamlike euphoria 🤣
ooo a clash with Kendrick?
Can confirm, it was magic 😍
this aged very well
Can confirm they were amazing
Don't remember how I ran across them around 2018 but they have been at the top of my play lists ever since. I wish there was more live recordings besides people on their phones.
HMU on insta if you need a copy of their Glasto Set
@@JackWebbMusicClub Saw a lot of it on RUclips. Love the way they mix live. Only wish they didn't always feel the need to mic the crowd. First couple seconds I get it, live show and all but after that it just degrades the sound.
Lovely hypnotic beats. Great for the gym sessions.
They are!
Bicep are sick! Great video mate.
Someone commented on a Fourfour post with 'glue is wonderwall for ketheads'
Thought it was brilliant
Thanks mate! Haha that’s great
I saw these guys in 2016 in Australia.. Have followed them since this performance and so happy for their success.. should have happened earlier, easily my top 3..
yeah they're so good right!
I find it interesting how people call Glue the future sound of EDM but all I hear is a really well produced hat tip to early Orbital records. Bicep are my favourite group going around at the moment. But Glue is very derivative of early rave music. It is absolutely brilliantly done though and I marvel at the production of their live sets every time I give them my attention.
I almost feel like they’re the Anti EDM, rather than the future.
This is what I thought also, very Orbital sounding tunes.
Its callaed opal not opel :)
Gotta let you go, Just, Dahlia, 808 State - In Your Face remix, Vision of Love plus many more which set the stage for them to release on ninja tune!!??
your not the first to say Just, they're so good.
love bicep, seen them a few times at parklife and warehouse project, not one to miss!
Wow, I bet the Warehouse Project was incredible!
🇮🇪
💚
Great vid but how can you not mention 'Just' ? For me that was THE track that got me onto them back in 2015
honestly, I was going on their setlist where possible
Where can I find the BTS from artwork of album Bicep?
Pretty sure it’s on Vimeo
@@JackWebbMusicClubdo you have a link? Can’t find it
Can't believe it's only round the corner now! Cant wait for the full lineup to come out.
Will defo try and see Bicep, who are you most excited for?
Great question! One Kendrick, will be my third time but he’s the Goat.
Mega excited for Fontaines, as I’ve not seen them before, but also seeing them a few times this year.
Really excited for Wet Leg and Dry Cleaning!
@@JackWebbMusicClub 3rd time for kendrick for me also! I wanna catch wet leg if i can, Doja Cat would be the top one as well (if she's still playing) and also gonna try and find the underground piano bar
what's this Underground Piano bar you speak of?
That set was like the glastonbury's of the early 90s. Before the corporate world took over
yeah looked amazing, heard Apricots as Kendrick was finishing up.
I actually first heard of them through the song glue performed at Glastonbury, glad I clicked on it I like alot of there stuff
Yeah They're great! unfortunate, I didn't see them at last, as they were clashing with Kendrick, but they're playing a festival in Brisbane in January, that I'm really excited for.
Arghhhhh Bicep or Kung Fu Kenny? The biggest clashtonbury decision of my life 😂
All I'd say is how many times will you get to see Kendrick in your life?
Glue was one of the shazam find sitting a cafe in Bali. Hooked on them since then!
just incredible!
oh thank you for mentioning the artwork process!
Ha, it felt important, wish there was more info in general about Album artwork!
Bicep are great, earlier singles before their albums so good and really great djs
I really love when they found their groove, making records.
Think Just was the song that really put them on the map
Was chuffed to hear them (even if slightly) from the top of the Pyramid Hill
I saw these guys in Denmark - absolutely magical although it was in a smaller venue, the energy and atmosphere were unmatched by any concert I have ever been to.
Amazing! Where did you see them? My best mate, lives in CPH, and would love to go to a gig there!
@@JackWebbMusicClub It’s a place called Vega. Very great concert venue🙌
I can put my finger on what kind of genre Bicep Glue and Apricots is but I love it, if you know any other artists making big waves like Bicep please let me know, because I cant get enough of this deep elctro house space feels music 😍
Fred Again, Bonobo, Caribou, Prospa, Four Tet all come to mind ;)
@@JackWebbMusicClub thanks for that I'll have a look.
Ummm if you want to hear Glue 30 years ago. Listen to Orbital - Belfast.
Good choice of shirt colour
Merci
Gotta add Fred Again to this list.
good god I love Fred Again...
@@JackWebbMusicClub saw bicep and fred again at primavera in barcelona, both hands down the best two acts of the week, euphoric
Absolute gents.
I'm excited to see them in January, gutted to miss them at Glastonbury
I am seeing them in Berlin next month. As soon as I heard Isles back to back, I knew that these two were on to something massive. It transcends genres. Their music is so so contemporary and relevant to the times, it fills me with appreciation and love.
