I absolutely love these kinds of collabs. Always a goldmine. I think something you do Hayden better than almost anyone else on RUclips, is finding ways to really bring out emotion and character in an edit, through very deliberate videography/storytelling. Where you collaborate with big creators is always the most fascinating, because you’re not going through just the basics of editing, but giving a view into the abstract principles of storytelling - whilst using concrete tactics to describe how they’re done. 2 questions. Are we getting a full breakdown? (same as the Airrack one) and 2, is there any way to make a story that interesting that you created in the end without planning it before shooting? Thanks a lot 🙌🏻
Hayden has covered this topic in other videos and I believe this is how he would respond. He would say it is incredibly important to storyboard your video before shooting. If you don’t storyboard and plan you are shooting video haphazardly. Storyboarding allows you to plan your shots and be more efficient. That being said you should still leave room for flexibility. If you are shooting in real time and their is new information provided you can either fit it into the existing storyboard or rewrite the whole thing completely.
Serious question: Do you think this style of editing (Mr. Beast style subtitles, camera movement, etc.) are overkill for a language teaching channel? 😅😅
