I just started getting a tcm code but I replaced it a year ago do you think if I reset the car it can fix ? It was working fine yesterday I parked and came inside then when I went to turn it on this morning the gauges were jumping and cardidnt kick over so I put the scanner on and it says p0700 tcm what are your thoughts?

I have an 07 Sebring. Is it safe to swap the PCM out with a refurbished PCM that has been programmed with my vin number or is there a possibility that my car won’t start?
As long as it was correctly programmed

One you change computer u need to change key and ignition switch also and program the key
No, you just program the new PCM. Unless there is also issues with the immobilizer module, doent not need tp be replaced.
How do you know if the used PCM is compatible? I put one in and programmed it but it throws code for air pump because i dont have one on my model?

your TIPM is bad replace it

I have a 2010 Avenger can you disconnect the negative battery terminal from the jump start access under the hood or do I have to take the tire off and take the terminal off directly from the battery?

@@hannahclark7029 Dam, My Car Turns On And Every Other Time I Start It, It Either Says HOTOIL Or The Check Engine Light Starts Blinking And Goes Into Limp Mode, But Other Times I Start It, It Starts Perfectly. My Homie Mechanic Said It's Probably The Computer And I Need To Switch It Out. Did They Have To Program The New Computer Or Is It Just A Plug And Go? One Store Told Me I Might Not Have To Program The New Computer
Fabian Rampage I ordered it from a company online it was a plug and go but if you order from a dealership it’ll have to be reprogrammed

Long shot but I replaced my computer in a 2010 Dodge Avenger. My old computer gave me all kinds of codes but the new computer works great. Only issue. I have zero throttle response. Once I start the car the gas peddle does nothing. If I plug the old cpu back in, the car runs rough of course but I can get it to rev and drive. Sooo, is this a cpu issue? Or is there a throttle learning procedure?
Throttle learn. Key forward slowly depress accelerator and slowly release. Remove key and wait for the car to completely shut down and then start up.

I believe you're right. It looks like an Avenger to me.
Chrysler built both the Sebring and avenger, the avenger replaced the Sebring in 2007.

These are called PCM's meaning the ECM and TCM are built into the same unit.
Yes I hate that it's not that easy to know if your not in any sort of way a mechanic or any car knowledge

Auto Tech Electronic the car stopped turning on it cranks but won't turn on I got it checked at auto zone and got the code p2610 says pcm is not working or it could be a wiring problem
