This is the one Engine I wish I would have had the extra money laying around so I could have purchased it. Jebb loved it when we saw it at Pat's Trains in Wheeling WV. That's one Awesome Lashup you got going on. Big Thumbs Up 👍

Amazing layout
I agree Brian, Menards really has great rolling stock especially for the price. I love your Santa Fe box cars and gondola's. I have UP box cars and SF 3 dome tank cars and the look great. I've said this before but I love your Santa Fe Legacy 2-10-10-2 locomotive.
Thank you Roger! Menards does have some nice rolling stock for the price! I just saw they tankers now to match these boxcars and gondolas. There will prob be some additions to this consist in the future 😎. The UP and SF rolling stock is very nice also!

Thank you!! I use "Brennan's Better Ballast" in original grey. They also have a black to use for yards. I may try some of that as well. I also used the ballast for some gravel patch areas scattered on the layout. It's a really nice product! 😁

Thank you Eddie! I use GoPro Hero 7 cameras. GoPro is up to something like a 12 or 13 now, but the 7’s have some nice features and the cost for them is cheaper thank the new ones. The stability control is really great with these cams, but they struggle in low light conditions. They are meant for use outdoors in sunlight. I have a lot of light in my train room but my vids still come out dark in some areas, to the point that I need to add additional flood lights when filming, like right in front of my train station. I need to add additional flood lights there for these scenes. Overall they provide a really nice, stable, indoor vid with the help of a lot of lighting. I also use 5000k led track and recessed lighting in my train room.

The newer ones may have better low light capabilities, but I’m not familiar with their features. If you know anyone nearby that has one, might be worth trying it out to see what it looks like.
It's pretty to look at but a little to clean for me. I like it more realistic and coal means black suit everywhere. But model railroading is to each his own right. It's what you enjoy not what the other guy enjoys. Keep on modeling!

Hey Brian, I love the big steam engine, and the on board camera, I might look into getting one, do you have and suggestion for them?
Thank you Rick!! I use GoPro Hero 7 cameras. They are fantastic for video stability, but they are really meant for outdoor use in the sunlight. I have a lot of 5000k LED lighting in my train room, but the vids still come out looking way darker than the room is. I've tried playing with the ISO settings on the camera, but just cant brighten it up much more without impacting picture quality. So, I have just been adding more heads to my track lighting...hah! 😃
Really nice. I feel Lionel often has better sounds in their engines, but I don't own any modern Lionel engines.
Yeah, I hear ya on that. MTH could prob use some updates to their sound files, but I’m not holding my breath for that anytime soon 😉. The Lionel Vision Line models have multiple speakers in them to provide a stereo sound affect, which really boost their sound quality. Despite the differences, I still like them both though!

Unfortunately not. They do make some really nice looking locos in the Lion Chief series though. That’s a good question though. I’m curious how they compare, as well.
