I never realised it before, but if you look at an old photo of the shops and flats of Cotmandene Crescent, you'll see what a brilliant example of post war architecture it was. Imagine coming down from dirty old bombed out London in the early 1950's to St Pauls Cray and seeing that!

Anyone remember when the tower blocks in St Mary Cray were painted cream , they were grey for many years before that. Both demolished in 2012.
