I was the crew chief on RF-4C Phantom 69-370 at Zweibrucken Air Bade in Germany, when i was there back in 74-76. I do miss those days in the Air Force. Liked getting the pilots strapped in for flight, starting them up, launching them out for flight. A 20+ year old kid had lots of responsibility.
I crewed F4E/G at George afb ca for about 8 years till they closed it in 92 then moved a few to Nellis afb because the F16 that were supposed to take over the wild weasels sam killer MISSION was not ready for another 3+ years. I got an incentive flight in my F4E 74-0663 just before they closed our squadron, one of the best times in my life. Did a mach run over Death Valley desert it was awesome pulled 7.5 g in a loaded rollout immelmann while I had 5he stick. Pilot said I almost made him sick fun times!!

These are specks (dirt or bugs) on the canopy. They are more pronounced in a roll (this shot!)
