Until I saw all those videos on You tube, I had absolutely no idea just how many people have their photo taken with the horses at Whitehall..... MILLIONS.
I agree, the girl with the blue hoodie... is ga-ga over the horse!... (perhaps one day, she will want to become a King's guard-all due to the exquisite patience of a horse.)
You can certainly tell that each horse has its own personality if you watch these videos enough. There is one in particular that a shorter female officer ride. This horse is so very good with the people. Both her and her horse are exemplary examples of the Queen’s Guard. Although after going through many videos I do fine whomever titles them misleads us on occasions and what they state happens either does not or is overblown.
Most of the people were very respectful and stood about a foot from the horse and didn't try to touch it, or bother it in any way. As I was watching I wanted to offer the horse and guard some water.
What an awesome horse! So gentle with the littles. And he seemed to be really interested in her and her family the way he was leaning in and staying focused on them. ❤
Hasn’t been proven and the documents and writings kept from that era speaks of the strength and stamina of the horses no way ponies would have the stamina and strength to ride 100’s miles with the armour (kit) that they wore. Most of the horses were a cross between thoroughbred and draught horses
Aww so sweet ❤❤❤ Love this beautiful and calm horse 😘 The handler seems to be in a nice calm state as well, contrary to the screaming angry dude (s) from other videos.
That is partly because in this sequencs nobody presumes to interfere with the horsr's reins - that's a no-no for both horse and mount - who will tell you so - VERY LOUDLY !
The first bunch did great giving space and still getting good pictures, I grew up with horses and would be fighting myself from giving the horse a kiss but out of respect for the guard I would keep my distance. That Karen lady that keeps harassing the horse and guard makes me want to jump on the next flight to embarrass the heck out of her eeegghhh I guess she is doing a good enough job of that herself .
Makes me laugh the way some of the people look at the horses as though they expect them to speak or something ... the poor beasts are half asleep they're so bored.

Hey Wandering Around, These horses are geldings, so your caption referring to "her" is wrong! One other point: when you put captions to your videos, it's noted that you and your companions have a blatant tendancy not to present the video you caption, so what you're doing is deliberately trying to capitalise on a false headline. Stop doing it, all of you. Finally, none of you seem to have even the most basic idea of the English Language, grammar or spelling. Get yourselves some proper education!
I think Wandering Around is aware they are geldings and the caption is not wrong because it was referring to the little girl in the blue hoodie as her, not the horse (insert eye roll). Finally did you stop to think for some people commenting that maybe English isn't their first language? There was no need to be rude on your part. Have a good day :)

how long do the horses stand outside for? and is there any water available for them when standing outside?

I actually feel sorry for those horses. They have to stand there and take that abuse. They should be running free!
Then they wouldn't be bred, so they'd never be born!
I honestly think they should make it a rule to ask the guard if it's ok to touch or stroke the horse!,
No need to ask - it is OK.

When did tourism become about the tourist not the location or point of interest?
That horse wants attention and pats. Lonely.
The sign clearly states the horse may kick or bite. Yet, parents put their children way too close for pics.

So many disrespectful visitors. The guard is being very tolerant.
