I had the same idea, but I bought some extra stuff to make it work for me: SMALLRIG Cold Shoe Top Handle SMALLRIG Kamera Monitor Mount ULANZI U-R101 MagSafe Mount Rode Tripod I cant include links here but I think you‘ll be able to find those Products. I mainly use the Tripod as a grip and Mount my iPhone to the HotShoe of the Leica. The Handle is optional for other angles. For the audio I use the internal Recording of a Rode wireless pro.

Apple is in a dominant position, but others are challenging its domination, and stubborn Apple losing its world shares. nowadays most people want both photo and video cameras. Making only for photography you will not be able to make money. Asians, especially Chinese companies can produce any number of goods, but the Japanese, and Germans after sold out can't produce more to the demands.

I love the Q3 and I use mine for video, too. But for selfie-style vlogging, it would just be much lighter and simpler to use the DJI Osmo Pocket 3.
True... but that would be one more camera... I thinks I need to ged rid of one first... to many cameras in bag at the moment ;-)

I use my iPhone, too. I just mount it with the Monitor Mount and a MagSafe Mount directly to the Q3 HotShoe.

I think my old Canon M50 is waaaay better. Will keep my Q2 for gorgeous stills. Great video!
