Watch a full tutorial as a 2004 Toyota Corolla will have a new 6.5" Rockford Fosgate front coaxial speakers installed. We will be using the Rockford Fosgate 6.5" R165X3 full-range coaxial speaker.

Just did these speakers, and this guide helped so much! But seriously, Toyota, pop rivets?! Did my rear speakers today too, also following your guide. Toyota knows how to build a good engine, but stereo installations are not their bag!

Question for you. If I’m going to replace and reinstall aftermarket speakers instead of factory then install a sub and an amp that powers all fours speakers with an aftermarket radio. Should I wait to install the speakers or it doesn’t matter?

This Corolla wasn't equipped with tweeters.

Yeah I don’t understand why they are saying it didn’t have tweeters when you can clearly see them in the video. Also I’m pretty sure they are 5 1/4 inch door speakers (stock ones) in every e120. The jap built models have tweeters, as do the us models with premium sound system (as shown in the video.. look at the wood grain trim and power windows. Anyway not helpful for me
Hmmm? The OEM mount looks plastic. Wondering if the speaker frames could be cut out and just mount the new speaker on it. I did that on my Honda Civic.

Good video if you cut that speaker out and pull it out and you put the new one in how will it stay in ?

Does the tweeter have separate wires running to it with a factory crossover, or is it wired in parallel with the midrange?
Wired in parallel with the midrange. The factory tweeter has their own passive crossovers built on it.

@@96MustangBoy1 the rea deck speakers are 6ohm, 17.5 watts. Not got to the doors yet. Lmao. 9 months later.

There weren't tweeters installed from the factory. These are coaxials.
@@ProvoBeastAudio what happens if a car does have a tweeters stock.. Can you still install coax or do you need to install components?
@@studnts4elac I think you have the term backwards, you can install both, but if you don't have a tweeter, i'd suggest you install coaxials. If you want to mount a separate tweeter, then go ahead and do a component.
@@ProvoBeastAudio I don't have the terms backwards. I was asking if you could install coax if you already have stock tweeters. So two tweeters. Because component speakers cost more
Provo Beast Audio Installation hello i have a quick question . Should i disconnect the factory tweeter and make a jumper so that the signal goes back to the door speaker? The factory tweeter has 2 positive 2 negative so I’m guessing their combined right ? I want to install components btw.
Quick question, if you have subs installed and wiring was wired up to the factory speakers will it be there be any more steps to it?
Nope
when you swap speakers do you have too re tune it at all or will it be the same if you use the oem style speaker adapters?
Not sure what you mean be retuning it, but just use the adapters and you should be good to go. If you are concerned about sound quality, you can use fast rings or sound deaden the door for better results.
awesome video. I do have one question, how did you get the speakers mounted onto the bracket? Did you put them on the bracket first and then installed the bracket or vise versa? I can't find any helpful info on how to do this unfortunately. My main problem is figuring out how they will stay if I use both the wash and nut(that you manually tighten) for the bracket and my woofers come with a l brace to secure it onto the mounting bracket on the back side.
what about the asian model? do they come with the same size speakers?
Is the purple wire positive or negative? Also on the passenger side is the light blue positive or negative?
Use a multimeter to test.
The adapter showed 6 inch to 6.75 inch on Amazon. Video shows 6.5 inch speakers, like the ones Im trying to install, working in these. Should I be good to purchase then or was there something Im missing?
