The existence of rappers like, Dax, Hopsin, Token, NF, etc., is why I think it's so offensive and disrespectful when people try to label J. Cole and Tyler The Creator as corny. 😅 Jokes aside, I actually don't think people should let any type of "corny" public perception stop them from enjoying an artist's music. I'm happy that Dax blew up, since I've been keeping up with him since his SoundCloud days. Back then he seemingly really cared about the community and his fans, I remember he'd talk to just about anyone who shot him a message. I can recall whole ass conversations I had with the guy and he seemed humble and down to earth and gave good advice to people who asked for it, but he really switched up and became obsessed with fame the higher the numbers got. I hope he gets his ego in check and makes amends for taking advantage of people in his past.

I honestly can't speak much from Crypt's perspective, but I have heard his Dax disses and his side of the story. On Dax's side he claims that he was only paid half of what he was told, so he sent a half-assed verse. It's hard to know who actually did what, since the real story would be in their DMs, however, knowing what I do know about Crypt, I don't think he would be the type to lie about it, but maybe he isn't telling the whole truth either. Dax did seem to do this to a few others, but I haven't heard of him doing anything like that recently. I was there when he was doing his reinventing his image and it looks like it wasn't just for show, like when Kanye tried it, but did the same thing, just with a gospel choir. I don’t like the idea that the “lyrical miracle” style of rap is the opposite of artistry. Lyrical miracle rap can be just as artistic as any other kind of rap. Just because you don’t like the style, doesn’t mean it can’t be done well. It’s just overplayed and a lot of it is corny. But there are people who do it very well

The existence of rappers like, Dax, Hopsin, Token, NF, etc., is why I think it's so offensive and disrespectful when people try to label J. Cole and Tyler The Creator as corny. 😅 Jokes aside, I actually don't think people should let any type of "corny" public perception stop them from enjoying an artist's music. There's a lot of songs that I enjoy from artists like Logic, Joyner Lucas, Chance The Rapper, Wale, Eminem, and others who often get labeled as corny (right or wrong).

I'm happy that Dax blew up, since I've been keeping up with him since his SoundCloud days. Back then he seemingly really cared about the community and his fans, I remember he'd talk to just about anyone who shot him a message. I can recall whole ass conversations I had with the guy and he seemed humble and down to earth and gave good advice to people who asked for it, but he really switched up and became obsessed with fame the higher the numbers got. I hope he gets his ego in check and makes amends for taking advantage of people in his past.

He laid it I believe found out the other person was going to be on the song, and having sent a intentionally lazy verse he then asked to redue it where he then dissed both crypt and the other rapper in the song. Dax scammed a lot of rappers out of money a lot of which appeared in a crypt music video about this very thing. It was a big deal, crypt doing a song with him in a year is not forgiveness it’s cash.

I honestly can't speak much from Crypt's perspective, but I have heard his Dax disses and his side of the story. On Dax's side he claims that he was only paid half of what he was told, so he sent a half-assed verse.
It's hard to know who actually did what, since the real story would be in their DMs, however, knowing what I do know about Crypt, I don't think he would be the type to lie about it, but maybe he isn't telling the whole truth either.
Dax did seem to do this to a few others, but I haven't heard of him doing anything like that recently. I was there when he was doing his reinventing his image and it looks like it wasn't just for show, like when Kanye tried it, but did the same thing, just with a gospel choir. Dax really has changed as an artist, and as a person.

I don’t like the idea that the “lyrical miracle” style of rap is the opposite of artistry. Lyrical miracle rap can be just as artistic as any other kind of rap. Just because you don’t like the style, doesn’t mean it can’t be done well. It’s just overplayed and a lot of it is corny. But there are people who do it very well
He isn't corny, he's broken the mold that certain people think you MUST fall within when really, those are the narrow-minded people who won't open there eye's to see that things can be done differently and still be incredible. I've known about Dax since around 2021/2022ish and he tears the industry a new one on almost all of his songs, especially with his positivity in his music which I can't remember hearing anything like it elsewhere and it's inspiring and life changing lyrics vs just more ways of saying again about all your racks, guns, b*tches, and the club and whatever else type of stuff like that. I don't agree with Dax's past scummy behavior but I think that he's gotten much better in the last couple years and I know he's changed people's life around completely with his lyrics and for the better (mine included).

The only exception ended up being quedceca who was a personal fav of mine gorwing up. Dax switched to Christian rap and it catered to a less toxic audience praying on a man's downfall.
