Wai Wai Nu | My Struggle for Burma's Future

  • Wai Wai Nu was imprisoned for seven years just because her father was part of the political opposition in Burma. More than that, Wai Wai and her family are Rohingya - a Muslim population that faces systematic discrimination from the Burmese government. Despite the challenges, Wai Wai has dedicated her life to promoting democracy, empowering women, and educating young people on differences in religious and cultural practices in the hope that the next generation will grow up in a more tolerant and free Burma. The Ancestors of the Black People around the world are so intelligent. They covered their faith and adapted to the language spoken. Therefore, they can able to communicate and reason with the opposer.
From another perspective, their will to survive enabled them to change and to pay for the price.

I Don't understand why Burma made Rohingyas a scapegoat, these Rohingyas are the indigenous people there. We are living peacefully in Bangladesh. The Buddhist are majority in 13000 sq km area of CHT. But Burma is not allowing a safe place for Rohingyas even in Maungdaw which is just 3500 sq km.....!? We have a peace accord with Buddhist and we hope Burma will take same treaties signed with it’s Rohingya people. Otherwise Burma will be a loser in this game with fire. Don't forget 13000sq km in the great Bengal Delta is much more resourceful than 3500 sq km in rogue Burma. We can take the challenge.

Whatever she say Rohingya is indigenous .less than 5% of Rakhine Population are muslim in 1869 British census and 1931 British census show 250K which is 25% of Rakhine Population. OK let Start from 250K in 1931 . People like she become educated and citizenship and migrated to mainland population center of Myanmar , How that 250K with migrated to Mainland become 2-3 millions (if you combine oversea population) .. How ? come on we don't need math genius to calculate that..

To begin with. Rakhine or Burmese Buddhists are immigrants lol. It’s a fact.
Rohingyas are descendants of Indian hindus who escaped India due to discrimination they face because of so called “caste system” and “untouchables”, later Buddhists in India were humilited and they faced discrimination because their philosophy was against Caste system in India. Many buddhists then travelled South Asia that is to Bagan and to Arakan. Arakan had it’s kingdom called the “Mrauk U Kingdom” which I am sure you know about and the founder of Mrauk U was Narameikhla also known as Sulieman Shah. The kingdom of Mrauk U ruled both Arakan and Chittagong region of Bangaldesh which is why there is similarities between us. This tells us that Arakan’s kingdom was founded after 7th Century CE. Rohingyas are also descendants of Mohenjos who were survivors of a natural catastrophe that destroyed the Mohenjo Daro civilisation in Sindh, Pakistan and so the survivors fled to South Asia including Arakan. Rohingyas are also descendants of Zoroastrians from mesopotamia which if you don’t know is Iran and Iraq probably during 6th century or maybe after, it’s not sure when but it’s certain that we are descendants of persians. So now we know that Rohingyas are originally hindus and buddhists and Zoroastrians. Later in 5th and 6 century Arabs and Persians merchants travelled to Arakan and Arakan at the time was a hub for business. It was these Muslim Arab and Persians merchants that influenced Islam in Arakan and many then reverted to Islam. The temples of Mrauk U were built by settlers in Arakan at the time and later Mosques were built by Muslims and Buddhists and Hindus for the new Muslims in Arakan. Fact: Arakan was not a part of Myanmar until 1781 or 1782 when Konbaung dynasty conquered Arakan and later destroyed the mosques to change the image of Arakan. It was then many Burmese Buddhists had settled in Arakan for business as Arakan was a hub for business and the land of Arakan is rich in resources. After British colonialism, Rohingyas and Burmese lived side by side and Rohingyas too helped Burma in independence of Burma. After Burma’s indepence many Rohingyas were ministers and parliament members and also the first and second president of Burma. President U Nu and U Ba Swe both spoke about Rohingyas and refereed to them as citizens of Burma. Many Burmese and Rohingya during the Japanese war migrated to neighbouring countries like India and Pakistan. During the fight for Bangladesh’s independence from Pakistan, many Bengali refugees settled in Arakan. Before 1980’s many Rohingyas settled in Yangon and few in Mandalay and so they became citizens of Myanmar. The so called “Myanmar Muslims” are themselves descendants of Rohingyas but they have adopted the Burmese culture and do not want to acknowledge the fact they are Rohingyas because they fear discrimination. Most Bengalis from Chittagong are also descendants of Rohingyas. From these we know that Arakan was a land of peace and harmony and a home to survivors and Rohingyas were open to other race and Rohingyas are a mixed race because they have many inter racial marriages unlike you racist blinded by race and language and nationalism.
