I guessed 16 ugly shoes- sooo close! *cough* I liked Taylor’s style overall. Couldn’t pull it off myself- but that one black and white dress (Oscar de la Renta) with the black coat was very whimsical. Loved it. If I could- I’d personally aim towards the coats with loud pops of color! They’re too much fun. 🧡🍁
Hi Anna! I am so happy you did a video on Taylor's style! Her style has always inspired me and it has been so much fun to see it evolve and change over the years. I really enjoy seeing how she can be preppy and also daring. Really she makes anything look amazing! Even all those "ugly" shoes.😘
I'm looking forward to watch that video too! But among the years of watching her content, I have some juvenile yet elegant (and not puffy!) items to add to our everyday college outfits: - NEUTRALS and natural colors! In clothing, shoes, hair, makeup and nails, water bottles, supplies... Promise is a time saver and you can add a pop of color to the overall look! - small earings/rings - natural makeup (or non!) - ballerina flats, minimalist sneakers > running shoes, chunky sneakers / big logos - blouses and shirts > tops and T-shirts - knitted sweaters > oversize hoodies - pants (or skinny, straight or *wide leg jeans*) > jeans and sport leggins - natural manicure > long, vibrant colors and degins - leather watch! and well-cared hair, it makes a huge difference! pretty similar to the "clean look" trend, in my opinion... hope these requests are helpful, adapt them to yourself :)
I'd like to add on and say basics. Having basic so your closet doesn't overwhelm you and you can style those pieces with trousers, skirts, dresses maybe even jeans if you wear them and it adds a level of elegance without going over the top. Elegance is definitely a quiet style but looks amazing and is so much better than logos and juvenile things. I do own juvenile things/logos but they're discreet and anything juvenile I wear in the house only😊
It doesn't matter what I wear, I always look overdressed. I've decided to embrace it instead. What I noticed after a few weeks/months was that other people around me started dressing better. Either to lift their wardrobe game or because they felt they finally had permission to dress better. I didn't expect that. Be a pioneer and start a wardrobe revolution in your locale! 🎉
Oxford shoes (the style she is wearing and you are calling ugly) are actually very stylish. They are not feminine but are considered classic and stylish. Specially when you combine them with feminine outfits like she does. She is the queen of Oxfords! FYI, I’m not a Swifty. That was just my honest opinion on her shoes.
I'm so glad you are talking about dressing for your body type. In a time when everyone wants to jump on the trends, we have forgotten that style needs to be more personal to the individual. We are all unique, and that's a beautiful thing!💗
Truth is in every person you can find something that is not attractive or negative. It's funny you say that because I think she looks very childish and immature and absolutely not classy from the character in my opinion
Hi Anna B... this is off topic, sorry... but can you please do an updated makeup routine video? I've watched the one you did about 4 years ago and got a lot of great product tips from it. I would love to see what you're doing now and which products you use today. Elegant Ladies...if you're reading this comment and would love to see a new makeup video from Anna B, then please give it a thumbs up so that Anna B knows that we're out here and we really want to see it. Thanks!
I love the peter pan collar haha I think it very much gives old money and preppy vibes. I think wearing a sweater over a button down is a great way to elevate the oversized sweater look.
They are an staple in my style and I love them too. Not gonna stop wearing them I think there are many ways to pull them off. I mean, Andy's Chanel dress in The Devil wears Prada is a dream!!!!
I am a fan of the Peter Pan collar, actually I am a fan of most collars they help frame the face. Today oversized open necklines are popular but they do not compliment me so I avoid them.
You can’t talk about TS’s style without addressing the fact that the styles have all been directly related to the album of the time or Era. Nothing is accidental.
Not sure about that, the idea to section your life into phases and to constantly dress according to some theme attached to each one of them is very high school. Frivolous and one dimensional. The opposite of sophistication. It would feel out of place in a video about elegance imo.

@@destituteanddecadent9106 The difference between your opinion and Taylor is that Taylor IS a worldwide pop star and a businesswoman, she understood very early on that coherent aesthetic is a good strategy, for all her fans, we all know which album she was promoting just by seeing what clothes and hairstyles she was wearing even if we never saw some of the photos. *You are saying "frivolous" and her bank account is saying "mastermind of using fashion to promote your artistic work".* No one is saying you should change your style every time you hop from a 9-5 job to another. And I think she should have mentioned that because there is a specific vibe or intention Taylor is trying to emulate with each era, it could help viewers understand better why some clothes are classy and others not so much.
Taylor became a little bit obsessed w the Kennedy family when she was in her early 20's, which is where I believe a lot of her fashion influence came from during that time. She became very close with them, and even dated Connor for a few months... but that's another story lol. The 50's housewife look is very much Jackie Kennedy.
Yes. They really do work to make “classic” fashion look less stuffy. I can see how they wouldn’t be appropriate in lots of places, but at my work, which includes both business and creative people, more elegant clothes and funkier shoes really does bridge the gap.
Peter pan collars look actually cute on her, she has this "Ingenue essence" so she actually pulls off those youthful elements quite well, it's just something that will not fit everyone
I find its amusing how much you dislike the heeled oxford! Her legs are sooo long that she does not have to worry about shoes that "cut off" her leg at the ankle. I love heeled oxfords, but I wear them with pants.
Totally agree with you. Don’t you think that she has a team of stylists with her helping, guiding and dressing her up. Will give her team a good clap ❤❤
Many people, including entertainers grow into a style which often changes. She was super young when she began and is growing up. We all evolve (hopefully) and it seems this is happening with her.
Taylor for me is like Melania. Their style is not totally for me, but it is for them. Taylor is not a regular person. She is a singer, a show woman and her style go with what she wants to project. Thank you for the video Anna!
Anna: I love Taylor's vintage inspired style! Also Anna, seeing Taylor in very authentic 1940's inspired shoes: WHAT ARE THOOOOOSE?!!?!?! LOL, funny video Anna! Blaming the Peter Pan collar for relationship woes had me WEAK! But I think Taylor's style has matured and improved a LOT so it would have been fair to point out that many of these photos and style choices are years, maybe even over a decade old.
Anna looks especially beautiful in this video. Her hair looks incredible and that summer yellow dress really compliments her skin! I wish I could pull off more summery colours as she does!
Anna please make a video on Sofia Richie's transformation from trashy to classy next week. Ladies, kindly give thie comment a thumbs up so that Anna sees it. Thank you.
I really enjoyed this video, Ana! I think Taylor is a great example that dressing elegantly doesn't have to look boring or dated, even if she's not intentionally going for an old money aesthetic. The ugly shoes count was so funny.😂 Somehow Taylor manages to pull those kinds of shoes off without looking weird.
Is there any short, wide (not necessarily obese) and curvy classy fashion icon out there which can elevate my style? If yes, is it possible to breakdown her/ their style? The reason being is every classy lady has a particular body shape which isn't similar to mine. Thank you in advance.
The 50's vibe makes some of Taylor's looks come off as looking more like a costume. Don't get me wrong, she looks great though. One of my favorite fashion inspirations is Nicky Rothschild (Hilton). Always ladylike and elegant but she isn't afraid to be herself and seems to have fun with her clothes choices too.
Anna, please make a video on how to look classy and elegant during pregnancy, winter edition. The videos out there on youtube are a catastrophe, please help and shed some true light on elegance! 😬
I feel like people always look at Taylor Swift's outfits, refusing to accept that she's not a fashion icon. I don't think she's really into fashion and people keep wishing she would be
Anna, c´mon! The shoes are vintage/retro and beautiful! As well as all of her outfits. I am not a fan of her and her music, but omg, fashion is on point! And I know tons of men in my circles who love this type of fashion. And yep, these men are managers and CEOs ;)
I have a thing for those "ugly" shoes that Taylor often wears, the vintage looking ones, the oxford type, even though they can look a bit like granny shoes. I know they are kind of ugly, and most men especially hate those kind of shoes (they consider them very unsexy),but I dig them regardless. I am very petite, barely 5'2, but my legs, especially calves are muscular and on the short side, so those shoes don't do me any favors especially if paired with dresses or skirts. However, Taylor has much longer slender legs, and the shoes look really flattering on her. They are not elegant, nor sexy, but casually practical and charming. I basically like most of her styles though out her entire career, she dresses more to please herself, and keeps things more practical. She could use some guidance in choosing garments to best flatter her lovely figure, as sometimes the outfit ( although usually looks fine) isn't as flattering as it could be, and the fault is not with her figure, it is with the fit, or style of the garment that sometimes falls short of making her look her best. But for the most part, I think she has over all pretty good style, and usually looks great.
I do not think those shoes are ugly but I have to remember that could be the fact that Taylor Swift is wearing them or how it coordinates, with a different outfit or person I might change my mind.
~ I understand this is free content, which is so valuable and I’m grateful; I just wanted to suggest that 2 sets of 2 long ads, before 2 minutes of the video has passed, isn’t enjoyable ~ ❤
Hi Anna and all the elegant ladies! I just wanted to say that this video shows how creative you are. I find quite difficult to keep speaking about "old money" topic without saying the same words again and again. I think it's the first time you approach this topic in this way. I haven't seen anything similar to this one. I mean: well done and I hope you keep it up. Take care!
Omg, if you have the body and the age, wear a crop top, and if the shoes are ugly but dearest comfortable, wear it...be you chanel said be diferente so Tyler looks stunning in anything...no every one can right Ana😊
Just yesterday i went to University to see one of my doctors. I wore a dress and heels. Nice heels. Ive been going down there for 20 years and many of the staff know me or know who i am. Many times ive heard "oh you always look so nice!"...Well i take care of myself. Im retired (no more scrubs for me) But ive always dressed nicely to go somewhere. My Mother taught us girls to always act and dress like a lady. Even at the grocery store, i get compliments. The girls there have come up to me with the same compliment. These young girls like it. But i know everyone has a schedule. And if they have kids, i know theyre super busy. But my kids were young once and i worked, but always took the time to take care of myself. And I passed that on to my girls. It gets cold where I live so i do wear leggings with winter boots. But it does feel good to look and dress nicely. :)
Nicely presented Anna. I do like Taylor and her style. She looks like a model and can pull off many looks. I actually like many of her shoes. 😬 I’m also from the USA and could have something to do with liking her shoe style. Many of her shoes look wearable and could be dressed up or down. Also, her shoes look like they wouldn’t hurt your feet if you had to walk a bit.
Hi Anna , can you please give advice how to look smart, chic & stylish for short ( 5 - 5’2” ) overweight ( big busted) women in 40s. When i was skinny & young it was till a bit easier but now I just always feel frumpy. Thanks.
Love Taylor, but the pictures don't represent her current style, I think. There were new pictures of her sprinkled in but overall she doesn't dress like that anymore which is sad cause these style suited her so well.
There is a fine line between old money elegant feminine vibe and boring school uniform types of looks which may have the complete opposite effect on men. I see the preppy school girl vibe a lot in France with brands like Maje and Claude Pierlot who are good fit for 16 yrs old but not for women. If you want to dress as a grown up women who is elegant know where that fine line is.
Very nicely presented, love your content. Now for us grandmas out there, we are not wanting to be invisible as we age. I and many would love to continue to dress stylish, classy, and to feel elegant and beautiful, even though some of us are retired, done with child rearing, and personally, I am home a lot. I refuse to wear sweats around the house, I love dresses, and I am beginning to include some nice leisure wear that does not resemble sweats. I wear leggings for exercising only. I absolutely love dresses from bygone eras like the 1940's and 50's , where women were feminine, classy, and elegant, well groomed in hair and makeup, nails, etc...instead of......what we see today in "some" people who do not seem to care how they present themselves, "FOR THEMSELVES" as well. Continue the wonderful encouragement to all of us!!!! It would be nice to have a video or your "at home wear" for inspiration as well.
I'd love to see some styling for older, retired stay at home country types...🤠😘.. I wear stretchy bell bottoms from walmart almost everyday... Cool prints with color, comfy, and no buttons. But, maybe too casual..
Hi anna , love your work , can you please make an outfit video for pear shaped or plus size women? I want to look good during my wight loss journey not just when I’m tall and thin
There two people whom I admire when it comes to fashion. The first one is Catherine, the Princess of Wales. And the other one is Taylor Swift. Both of them are stylish.
From a certain aesthetic, Peter Pan collars…I’ll never forget in college wearing the Peter Pan collar GAP dress, sky blue mini floral, guys wouldn’t leave me alone, even better the black n white collar dress, it would give you Munster vibes Halloween 🎃 black dress, white collar 👻 #rethinkthecollar
Loved this video! I've always have admired Taylor's style but never could quite put my finger one exactly what about it appealed to me. You hit all the. points in this video. Thank you!
I like taylor swift it doesnt matter how her style her dress it suits on her and she can carry anything she can wear she is prettty, and i like the way she looks in any angle
Taylor Swift is growing up and moving towards a more grown , laid back look . The whole old money /new money fashion discussion is tired . We should lay it to rest .🥴
And old money isn’t really that. It’s old school. I’m from a lower middle class east coast family and grew up in the 60s-70s and we all loved our A line dresses, cable knit sweaters etc.
I like vintage shoes which look better with shorts that are short and wide, called tap pants in the '40s. Worn with pointy stilettos they look cheap. Of course they are more comfortable, too.
So glad you did this video! I have a similar body to Taylor (being 1.82 m ) and was always concerned that skirts might make me look too trashy or like I go clubbing taking into consideration the amount of legs I’m showing due to my height. 1m legs are hard to handle!! 😂 As a very tall female I find it difficult wearing dresses and skirts (mostly durring the HOT summer Days) to the office without looking too seductive or too much . I tried adopting plain colours, not reavealing in the upper side and not tiiiiight to the body but I still received complaints. Can you sometime discuss this subject?
A younger very plumpy and short co-worker used to wear jeans skirts which barely covered her big butt. Oneday she criticized me, telling my skirt was too short. I answered that if the edge of my skirt was far from the floor, it was because my legs are long, not because my skirt was too short. In fact, my knees were covered....😊
Taylor Swift is rich. Her family is a big business owner. I heard they own acres of land, and supply pine trees. Sure, that's not "old money" or from 7 generations of wealth, but that is richer than a big percentage of Americans.
@@msl1689 Red's my favorite color and I was totally digging those little boots! I wonder if A- They come in 11w? and B-Do they cost more than my rent? 😄
We definitely have different taste! I only saw two pairs of shoes I didn't care for :) I think Taylor definitely looks best in outfits that are slightly matchy-matchy and hems that are not overly short. I also love her in French styles.
I love those shoes, kind of an oxford shoe. I find it lovely to use them when you are also wearing something more lady-like. And I also wear peter pan collars haha.
You make the best styling videos on elegant looks and also everything you say is correct. We do dress up for ourselves but also for our partners or other sex so we look attractive and elegant. Therefore we surely feel happy when our partner compliments us on our look.

Her shoes are not ugly , it's Oxford British shoes , classic ! Like Ballerina or Escarpin "Pumps" 😂
They are 1930-1950 style shoes.

Sorry I didn’t realise that! Thanks, love your work 🥰
I love all her shoes. They go with the outfits. Very stylish imo.
I love her shoes. She has gorgeous delicate ankles and long legs. She clearly likes them and suits them and I do too! My 2 cents
Take care!
Dear Anna, thank you for the video. Could you make one about gym/sports attire? That would be awesome.
Can u do a thrifting challenge vid on finding classy outfits that fit into old money ,preppy and vintage look
I second that request
lmfaooo! Anna with the savage comment "if she ever had problems in her relationship, it was the peter pan collar"
The shoe count in the corner was elegantly hilarious.
Thanks.
This was funny to watch, thank you Anna! Greetings from Finland xx
Peter pan collar makes you look sophisticated and studious also intellectual. Its love as a nerd.
1:25 Taylor’s red shoes are beautiful.
Anna you look gorgeous and younger in this video, natural almost no makeup. Kisses from Spain
Love Taylor, but the pictures don't represent her current style, I think. There were new pictures of her sprinkled in but overall she doesn't dress like that anymore which is sad cause these style suited her so well.
I love how anna styled her hair in this video, she looks so Youthful.
i love the editing in this video! it was really fun to watch it!
What about James Perse scoop neck fitted tees? I feel pretty put together wearing those. I wear it with khaki or white shorts.
I loved this video, it made me giggle 🤭 Good content, but brilliant editing!
May I know what is wrong with peter pan collars? I'm from India, here it is a sophisticated neckline
😂 I’m dying! Anna is hysterical in this video! I love the style breakdown - more of this please.
Dear Anna, your hear colour looks 😍gorgeous!!
Women had more time to take care of themselves in the olden times :(
I'd love to see some styling for older, retired stay at home country types...🤠😘..
I wear stretchy bell bottoms from walmart almost everyday... Cool prints with color, comfy, and no buttons. But, maybe too casual..
Anna, tnank you for your videos. Could you please make video how did you do this hairstyle? Very nice and elegant!
Can you please make a video how you style your hair to be so wavy? Thanks
Girl you need to embrace the Peter Pan collar. ❤ Just sayin.
I'm so glad you did this video! Not only do I love her music, I've always loved the way she dresses. Especially in the Red and 1989 era.
I love her style as well
Loved this video! I've always have admired Taylor's style but never could quite put my finger one exactly what about it appealed to me. You hit all the. points in this video. Thank you!
you are so funny and informing at the same time!
I'm waiting for this video so long... so grateful finally you make a video about it...become i love her style so much. ❤
I really love Taylor's style - thanks for picking it apart in this video. I enjoyed it! All the best, Liz
Dear Anna , i love your look here. I love your content as well. Learning from you! Thank you so much❤
I like taylor swift it doesnt matter how her style her dress it suits on her and she can carry anything she can wear she is prettty, and i like the way she looks in any angle
Another Awesome video Thanks Much Love ❤❤❤
Anna, how to be classy in sport?
I love her style
Been waiting for this ❤
What do you think about Poloshirts? They also have a collar, but are they ok?
Love your dress Anna!!
I love her shoes! So cute and fun.
Taylor Swift is growing up and moving towards a more grown , laid back look .
The whole old money /new money fashion discussion is tired .
We should lay it to rest .🥴
Indeed. Wear what looks good on you; what fits you. “Try” to keep it classy , not trashy. 🤷🏻♀️
Right, let's just go back to calling it "classy" lol I swear social media always comes up with these cringey terms 😂
And old money isn’t really that. It’s old school. I’m from a lower middle class east coast family and grew up in the 60s-70s and we all loved our A line dresses, cable knit sweaters etc.
@@ritasjourney Northern east?
I like vintage shoes which look better with shorts that are short and wide, called tap pants in the '40s. Worn with pointy stilettos they look cheap. Of course they are more comfortable, too.
Could you make a video about what type of shoes to wear for each occasion and which ones to avoid?
So glad you did this video! I have a similar body to Taylor (being 1.82 m ) and was always concerned that skirts might make me look too trashy or like I go clubbing taking into consideration the amount of legs I’m showing due to my height. 1m legs are hard to handle!! 😂
As a very tall female I find it difficult wearing dresses and skirts (mostly durring the HOT summer Days) to the office without looking too seductive or too much .
Omg Anna I’d never think I’d see “what are those” joke from you 😹 love the teen humor haha
Could you please provide lip product you were wearing in this video if you dont mind Miss Anna.
I love that she wears hills even though she’s tall .
that's why she wrote: he didn't like it when i wore high heels, but i do...
Loved this video
I actually snorted a few times at your commentary!
And as long as she's happy, she can wear whatever shoes she wanna. 😂😂😂😂
Did she say otherwise? 😂 She literally gave advice to those who needed it….
I think it's subjective. Anna clearly hates the shoes lol 😂 but I actually really like them! I think the red shoes are really cool.
@@msl1689
Red's my favorite color and I was totally digging those little boots! I wonder if A- They come in 11w? and B-Do they cost more than my rent? 😄

Me: Wow, I love those shoes!!!
Anna: >Ding< 🔔
We definitely have different taste! I only saw two pairs of shoes I didn't care for :)
I think Taylor definitely looks best in outfits that are slightly matchy-matchy and hems that are not overly short. I also love her in French styles.
I love those shoes, kind of an oxford shoe. I find it lovely to use them when you are also wearing something more lady-like. And I also wear peter pan collars haha.
I love the Peter Pan collar !
I LIKE those shoes on Taylor, they are retro and muted
Okay but in 2012/2014 those Peter pan collars were IT
You make the best styling videos on elegant looks and also everything you say is correct. We do dress up for ourselves but also for our partners or other sex so we look attractive and elegant. Therefore we surely feel happy when our partner compliments us on our look.
Can you please do more videos like this with diferent celebraties?😍
