Thank you for your excellent video. I really love the idea of creating a background book and will be having a sort though of my larger pieces tomorrow.
Thank you so much Margarete for all your inspiring work, your thoughtful and helpful videos and overall, being my Muse through my creative journey through creative paper upcycling! Greetings from Greece, wishes for a lovely day.
I love your work! I just watched your 10 things I wish I knew video and it was so helpful! I didn't realize how the fear of creating something ugly was holding me back, not just with collage art. I subscribed to the channel and your newsletter and I'm going to sign up for the class. Thank you! You are a gifted teacher🥰
That was the best collage video I have ever watched. You are a great teacher. Your explanations are clear and I loved hearing your thought processes as you worked through the pieces.
I couldn't agree more with beccyhaugen's comment. I'd just like to add that limiting yourself to a couple of pieces to add to the starting piece, is most helpful. Moving on from an existing base, is easier than starting the base. So thank you very much for sharing this video and please continue. It's very relaxing watching you ! ❤
Thank you so much for this video, i’m a visual learner, and the way that you showed the placement, and the relationship of each piece to the other was very helpful! Please do more of these videos for us “newbies”!!❣️
I really like this video because it's helpful to see the process where you select which pieces you want or do not want to glue down. thank you for sharing 💗
This video was soooo very helpful! I always have a problem with not wanting to cover up the background 🙃 and I like how you addressed that. Thanks for the generous freebie as well!
Margarete, this really was pretty eye opening for me! I liked the ways in which you approached these layouts. Especially the "pick your focal piece first, and then work around that". Just like in decorating, yet I hadn't thought of collage in this way. This was very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you for this very nice video. It was really interesting to hear you explaining your thought process to select the pieces and to place them on the background.
I usually start with the background and add a focal piece but for the deconstructed traveling journal I’m working on now i started with the items that fit the theme and filled in the background. One of the things i love about your collage is the simplicity and yet completeness of your work. Sometimes i manage to attain that simplicity, but i love your video and your work. Thank you
Thankyou so much for the free page. I heard shabbydabbydodah talk about your love of stamps. I too love stamps Our neighbour is a world renowned philatelist . When I saw him throwing torn stamp Mags away I asked if I may have them. Spent hours cutting out stamps and copies of vintage envelopes from the 2 nd world war time and beyond. He is Dutch and I live in south Africa .🤗
I'm so glad I found your channel! I appreciate how you explain your process and give examples. I also love how you said in another video that collage is not a talent, it's a skill. I've always been hesitant to create art because I was so afraid of doing it "wrong". Your videos give me confidence in myself and encouragement. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your creative process with us! I am a visual learner so this video was very helpful to me. Thanks also for the free digital download! TFS!!!

Excellent information…you have a genuine honest intelligent approach to creativity…and I agree with your thoughts on videos on IG…I don’t want to do it! 😮 Bring back the old IG! Thanks!
I really like hearing your rationale for selecting pieces. This seems always to be the missing part in video tutorials. I'm past the point of "put down anything you want" and trying to use some principles when I work.TX!
You always make it look so easy Margarete. I do understand for those just starting how they'd have difficulty, but they just have to dig in and find their own style. TFS as always ! ~ Barbie
Thank you for the free download. This was a good reminder for me. I don't always remember to have the pieces touching. Please keep these type of videos coming. Hugs. 🎨🖌
