The Recently introduced three new Bills in the Lok Sabha propose to completely overhaul India's Criminal laws!
- The Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita Bill, 2023, which will replace the Indian Penal Code, 1860
- The Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita Bill, 2023, which will replace the Criminal procedure code 1898
- The Bharatiya Sakshya Bill, 2023, which will replace the Evidence Act, 1872

Old wine new bottle is how I understand with this new laws!! What was offence in the past, cannot become legal today, likewise the CrPC and Evidence Act does not change its approach; What has to change in India is the political interference in enforcement. The day politicians stop interefering in Enforcement 90% of corruption and crime would get wiped out overnight India. But will that happen? It depends on serious thinking by the citizens. Will citizens think on these lines? I have 100% doubts.
Looks like you you too are speaking thr language of congress and opposition.
I am very optimistic about these changes. Changes are never easy. These will create difficulty initially but gradually everyone will get used to it and they will adopt this. Hope that implementation part won't suck.

@@vlogwalaprince I totally agree with you. It needs to be perfect in order to eliminate problems. Now being perfect is next to impossible because the definition of perfect keeps on changing from time to time and from person to person.
you are optimistic because you haven't dug into the laws they are an exemplary model of failure they could be used as in 'how not to frame laws' with 80% of the laws being the same the sedition law is claimed to be removed by a new similar law is added with different name but even more powers to the state and centre and then there are the titles of overly complicating matters unnecessarily like the titles are literally the translation of IPC, CrPC and Indian evidence act, why change the name? what purpose will that achieve? the constitution states that all debates in supreme courts and high courts must take place in english for convenience and all laws must be framed in English for better interpretation by the whole country cause not everyone comes from a hindi background but all learn english in school.
One point is missing all public representatives/Ministries/MP/MLA/corporates are exempt from old/new laws. These laws are only applicable to common man/poor/middle class people and also these laws are strict against people who question government.

Change is madatory for society. As for as implementation is concerned so changes takes time to be accepted. New era , new requirements, new problems so new solutions. Optimistic for changes👍

@@_FinologyLegalHave you done in depth study of these laws? Your video concludes that you haven't. These new laws are even worse than that of Britishers. I m not only saying this rather former judges, veteran lawyers, senior advocates of supreme court. So don't make these kind of videos without any indepth study and comparison. Moreover there is no change as to fundamental principles which are still British concepts in substance.
@@vardhan6864 I agree and in fact, whatever changes are being proposed by bringing new criminal manual- could have been easily been brought by amendments because redlining between the old manual and new draft bills shows 75% similarity. The intention seems to be in headlines rather than bringing the actual changes.

Ma'am at 5:47 you have mentioned that IPC has 576 sections which is actually 511. Please correct it for the convenience of others😊. By the way I love your videos❤.
She includes not just distinct numbered section but also sec like 489A. 489B ect

I partly agree with your opinion but if this law comes into force it will create havoc in the society because it is ultimately made for the benefit of particular group of people, secondly the Indian Penal Code was meant to punish the criminal hence it is punitive in nature the victim eventually gets justice. These new laws are giving more power to the executive and not the judiciary. It will also hamper the working of smooth judicial system. The Madras Bar Association is also opposing because of thier names in hindi. Hence there are more disadvantages than benefits by the advent of these laws.
