- The Buffalo Sabres have had a terribly underwhelming season so far. Due to that, there are plenty of rumors pointing to the Sabres looking to get rid of some of their veterans. In today's video, Cal breaks down some of those rumors and what they would mean for Buffalo.

Who could the Sabres trade away?
My personal opinion is the GM won’t make any major trades, he will bring in a guy who Granto coached when he was 12 years old and some bums like that, but no major moves will happen. The GM has tried to make some trades but players refuse to waive no trade deal to come here, they tried to trade for Jacob Chyckun(I can’t spell that A holes name) but they wanted more from us than Ottawa gave up, he tried to trade for loser Timo Meier and NJ is stuck with him for many years and he sucks. Mittens will re-sign then never score even 50 points again.

Jordan Greenway plays 5v5 like it’s the PK
Greenway is team MVP, he should be up for Selke Trophy, I hope they re-sign him for 8 years at 8 million per season.
Mittlestadt probably has the highest trade value right now. Yes, he has some points this year but, he turns turtle away from any scrum. He's not a GMKA guy, plus he can't do one pull-up

Eric Johnson's home and whole family is in Colorado. He's a fish out of water here in Buffalo and that translates to the ice. It appears signing here was just a cash grab by him
He gives a great effort, blocks shots, hits and cares, he’s old as dirt, I rather watch him play instead of 90% of the losers on the team
Mitts (and UPL) have A LOT of upside. Only trade for something big. Coaching: Can we get Brin d'Amour or Quenville?
The question is what GM would want Eric Johnson, Olofsson, Girgenson , Bryson or Okposso?
Will Adams move Mittelstadt who probably has the highest value, maybe for a top 4 D man but certainly not for prospects and draft picks like you said. If you can get a top 4 D man in return then you can keep Clifton on the 3rd D line next season with Ryan Johnson.
No interest in trading Greenway as hes a decent penalty killer and and any other head coach would make him use his size and HIT more! I see him on the 4th line next season with Eric Robinson or Rousek . Question is will Peyton Krebs( RFA, ) be the 4th line centre I hope not ( Scott Laughton Phi)

If Greenway is re-signed long term I will pick a new team to watch, can’t stand watching him play more minutes than skilled guys, he would be fine at 12-14 minutes but the coach considers him his Son
@@Jedi13sm2 Peterka leads the team in goals and draws the most penalties by far! Playing him only 12-16 minutes is stupid! Develop the young guys, sit Okposo, Girgensons and those guys on the bench. Every team that wins cups plays the high scoring forwards the most icetime! The last two times Buffalo made the playoffs they lost in the first round and Paul Goosegg Gaustad played 19 minutes per game, more than all forwards, you know how many playoff goals he had in 38 games? Zero, Goosegg.

@@Jedi13sm2 Unfortunately, the team will never win with coaching like this. Instead of getting guys who can’t score it’s better to have two way gritty forwards as your top guys, Mackinon is a big hitter, Zetterberg and Datsyuk were detroits best defensive forwards as well as leading scorers and Boston had Bergeron. Skinner is brutal defensively, Tage needs to have a really good two way winger with him going forward.

@@Jedi13sm2 after first period Greenway leads all forwards in icetime, everyone will say BUT he plays the PK so that’s why!!! Well, he was in the penalty box for 2 minutes. There is no way next year I will attend any games or watch any games with him playing the most minutes.

Nobody wants him, Carolina gave him to us for free to get rid of him, he’s played 14 seasons and never once said anything about playoffs, he doesn’t even care, he will never waive his no trade clause, the only hope is he goes skiiing and never returns, falls off a cliff
Johnson, Z, Kyle, Bryson, as a minimum. Fire Granato, staff and Adams. Bring in Berube and Lindy as Coach and GM.
That’s great and in 2 years we can fire the next GM and keep the vicious cycle going for another 13 years.

Boston needs 4th liners
If okposo, girgensons, e. Johnson, olofsson, jokiharuju, hold ANY value trade them. I think we should trade mitts, he has good value and he can seriously be used to get a top 4 dman and he can be replaced by a prospect. If we keep him give him a 5 or 6 year deal for $5-$6 I'd be happy with it
Devon Levi stopped 52 out of 53 shots today! He won in OT, he was outstanding, he has a save percentage going into the game of .920

@@BuffaloSportsCenter the last two years the Amerks had a great chance for a cup, if Levi would have played in the playoffs that would have been smart but Sabres kissed his ass and told him he was lock for the NHL. Kulich finally scored a goal after like 10 games but then was hit in the head, probably has a concussion
Okposo and Girgensons will be re-signed for life, each guy will be here for a total of 20 years then become the assistant GMs. Two losers

I live out of the area and don't get MSG so I had been watching the Sabres on ESPN+. Not anymore. I cancelled after they lost to the Ducks last Monday. I've had enough.

Too much emotional overreacting to Kevyn Adams. I don’t think our fans actually really listen and analyze what he’s really saying. He explains his whole long-term philosophy point by point. I’m completely on board with it. Everyone keeps saying should do a, b, or c and I can guarantee you he and his team already thought about it and analyzed it way before you did.
100% BUT this team is severely underachieving and it's unacceptable he did noting to help this team in the off season

Here is my thoughts on the Sabres.
Thompson sucks, signed long term, will never score 20 goals again, Tuch sucks, biggest waste of space and 4.7 cap hit, Cozens has no confidence and will screw the team over and never score again, Samuelson always hurt signed long term bust, Levi has proven he sucks and since he’s 6’ tall he will never be any good, UPL needs contract and once he signs he will be injured all the time and never play well again, Skinner is old now and starting to slow down, screwed with his insane cap hit, Quinn is made of fine China will never be able to play 20 games in a row without breaking something, Krebs is clearly a bust, he can’t score playing 12 minutes a game with losers, Greenway is team MVP the fans claim, greatest penalty killer and enforcer who never fights or touches anyone, he will be signed long term and probably average 5 goals, Dahlin sucks, he paid to play defense not score goals, playing on 4th worst team in league he can’t be a plus player playing against other teams best players. Peterka will never play much since he sucks, any talented player would have more goals at this point, Fats will sign long term and probably average 8-12 goals and 40 assists, I’m forgetting some guys that are not even worth talking about because we know they suck. I’m being serious, this will all happen, last year was just pure luck and they only scored well because the coach had them playing wide open, none of these guys will ever score even 20 goals again. Another 6-7 years watching the same fucking players.

We wont make the playoffs. Why? Culture! Why does everyone think its a simple as coaching and player trades? The entire culture is screwed! The team needs to be sold to an owner who genuinely wants to bring in real hockey management, and make everyone accountable.
Kevyn Adams won the Stanley Cup. It’ll take his methodical long term plan over the emotional overreacting of our fans.
@@bjarczyk Steve yzerman, has multiple Stanley Cups. Chris Drury has two Stanley cup and helped turn this franchise around. Both were major impact players on teams. Please tell me how much of a role Kevin Adams has made and still does for the Sabres. There is no game plan when the developmental staff is a complete mess.
Owen Power has been a disappointment. Trade Greenway ? Yeah trade Mitts and make sure the team is depleted .
