    I find it interesting that a veteran head coach like Rod Brindarmour can whine and complain about a refs call against his team and not get a penalty but Granato a newer head coach gets a bench minor when he complains about a penalty or penalties to be more accurate . Absolute BS! Refs have been BRUTAL the last two games !
    The only reason I see Erik Johnson starting over Ryan Johnson last night is that Adams is showcasing him for a trade .Since Thursdays game in Tampa is a must win ,I hope they sit Erik Johnson and start Ryan Johnson.
    Please stop saying Adams needs to go get a veteran goalie! Goalies for next season are going to be UPL and Levi with Tokarski in Rochester for emergency back up and im good with this as long as Adams brings in a top 4 D man to partner Owen Power , something he was suppose to do last summer. Clifton is a decent third pairing D man ( R. Johnson his partner next season ) not a 2nd pair D man. Brett Pesce Carolina UFA this summer would look good as Powers partner. He is from New York state sooo hopefully he will want to play in his home state .

      You’re spot on with everything you said. I agree with you about Johnson, the goalies, a partner for Power, and Clifton being ok as a 3rd D. Brind’Amour was whining the entire 1st period and then got 2 make up calls in the 3rd. I was furious at the call on Granato as well.

      Worse was the fact that it was right after Benson given an undeserved penalty when he was tripped right into the feet of the player we was penalized for tripping. Two HORRENDOUS calls that gave the Panthers the game!

    It’s been about a year since Adams publicly stated that teams try to bully the Sabres. When is he going to figure out that it’s his job to fix it? It’s getting tiresome watching Benson get blasted every game without any protection from his teammates.

    UPL should be given a 4 year deal for around $4+mil per. Levi can wait to get a 2 year bridge after next season. Wait till near the end of Levi's bridge to determine who sticks around on a long term extension.

  • @jasoncrandall73
    @jasoncrandall73 3 месяца назад +1

    GMKA needs to be open-minded on being both a buyer & a seller at the trade deadline. Making a deal (or 2) that addresses needs beyond this season should be considered/made if it materializes.

    With the ascension of UPL, the team is rounding into shape. It just accentuates the need for a proven coach to take the team to the next level.

  • @KetoFitChef

    If we can hope for anything if we keep UPL around is an Ullmark/Swayman situation. Ullmark had just begun to emerge as a potential #1 when he left (and did just that) and Swayman came in and played well enough to possibly supplant Ullmark as #1 going forward, making Ullmark a high value trade piece, like we’re hoping Levi will.

    We have to live with players like Erik Johnson, we cannot attract real help for a couple more years plus with the high tax rates in NYS the task is even harder. We just need to be patient and let our young D talent develop. Bottom line, Florida is bigger, stronger and battle tested. We were more than competitive and should go 17 - 6 down the stretch and finish with 92 pts, just missing the playoffs

      Obviously I was talking about the future,not this month...UPL has picked it up,real good job! And Correction: UPL is 21st Place with .914 but that is including everyone back-ups and lightly played. So out of starters you are correct 5th or 6th,and this season sv pct. are a bit lower than years past.Just realize, Devon Levi had just about the best Stats ever coming from NCAA,of all-time,also amazing at World Juniors! I ask you,How many great NHL Goalies have come from NCAA? Time will tell,I'm not betting against Levi.@js

    • @BlackIjs

      @@deanoppergoalieclinics834 Levi is good, no doubt! And great for the future! But UPL is currently 7th GAA 2.47, and 3-way tie for 8th SV% at .914 with Lyon & Markstrom. He's a No. 1... now! We're not talking about maybe, he might be... he is a solid No. 1. Obviously the Top 5 are at another level, but the 6-10 are all in the same range. And considering UPL is on a weak defensive team, that's saying something.
