    Hey Chuck! Nice video!
    But could you explain that hootie sound?
    As I understood goo sound shows how to sing without external mucles. At 5:00 you said go easily from chest voice to head voice. Goo sound gives me an opportunity to gallop between two registers.
    But should I mixed head voice and chesat voice?
    Because when I always go down with OO sound to check was it falsetto in high notes or not I crack to chest voice.
    Is it normal? Should I do goo and gee sounds for only releasing my voice? Or should I think about creating mixed voice too?
    And another question: should I do breaty sound with goo sound? Because its the way I can do exercise without disconected cords and without tension.

    Hi Chuck, your videos are brilliant and have helped me greatly. However, how familiar are you with high-pitched voices in the metal/rock genre? For example, when Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), or even Freddie Mercury, sing high, it sounds as though they are closing their throat and tensing up to get their "rougher" sound. Is it pretty much a case of "sing it clean and add in the roughness later" or are they doing something fundamentally different?

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  8 лет назад

      I have limited experience with metal/rock genre. After watching this video: ruclips.net/video/glhQfdnnoZ8/видео.html he is basically singing with a high larynx and going really bratty. That thins the cords out and prevents the vocal damage that can happen. He pulls chest a little, but he also goes straight into a light head voice as well. For his genre I think he does it really well. In my opinion, the bratty sound is the foundation of what he's doing. As far as the roughness is concerned, stay bratty with the cords thinned and that will minimize the damage. It's easy to slip into yelling, so it takes real discipline.

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  8 лет назад +1

      I don't think you can take one exercise and strengthen the voice. Just like the athlete. If you want to be a good athlete you do multiple exercises different ways etc. You can find some great ones based on your vocal type at PowerToSing.com in the Knowledge Center. Free to download.

    Yes sir do you have any exercise that would remove bass sound from my singing

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  7 лет назад

      What do you mean when you say "bass sound"?

    • @kxlj926
      @kxlj926 7 лет назад

      Sir let me ask you this can a person develop a bass speaking voice by singing nothing but falsetto for years i sung as a falsetto tenor and i think it might have lowered my voice if that's possible but there is a little bit of bass in my voice singing and speaking that i would like to make a little cleaner sound

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  7 лет назад

      I don't think you can develop any thing singing falsetto, except falsetto and a big break in your voice. But I've never tried it, so I can't speak by experience. I've never worked with a singer to develop a "bass" voice. I have worked with many singers to establish chest voice.

    Sorry, but Men can reach E5 with his chest voice?

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  7 лет назад +1

      No, not pure chest voice. However, they can maintain vocal cord connection and sing there in head voice...which is not disconnected falsetto.

    • @musiclovers3132
      @musiclovers3132 7 лет назад

      Do you mean He Can not do it

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  7 лет назад

      I suppose there are some high tenors who can pull chest voice that high. But it will be strained, filled with tension and they will soon damage their voices. I would never recommend that.

    • @musiclovers3132
      @musiclovers3132 7 лет назад

      But me, I sung E5 on "think twice"

    Are you using your head voice in this exercice?

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  7 лет назад +1

      The E,F and F#4 are a mix of head and chest. The highest two notes are head voice. The lower notes chest voice.

    what to after this dopey sound? How to add more chest to this but not strain?!

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  7 лет назад

      After goo, do gee, go, guh each time maintain the same feeling as goo. Gradually increase the volume and intensity. If you lose your vocal balance, reduce volume and intensity.
