Now you're ready to listen to "I let the music speak" from Abba😊
Didn't like this when I was younger because it was a long song and didn't sound poppy enough for me. Now i'm older I understand what an underrated masterpiece it is
was about to say the same
@@shine01120 Same here.Listening to it again as a grown up adult i see again what a great delivery Frida did to this one on the lead and took a closer look at Bjorn's poetic lyrics.
Much as I love "I Let the Music Speak", I feel that the natural follow-up to "Head Over Heels" is "2 For the Price of 1"... but maybe that's just me!
@@SapphireZucchini-xb3vr Don't u worry. We all have fave personal prefferences and favourable choices .So Rightfully. We are bound to.If not, then it would have been a boring world.
Fun fact: The man Frida bumps into at 4:03 is Lasse Hallström, the director of all their music video, and later movie director ("What's Eating Gilbert Grape", "The Cider House Rules", "Chocolat").
It was actually his son
No. It’s Lasse himself.
Chase, in the video when Frida bumps into the man on the street and they look at each other this man is Lasse Halstrom who created most of Abba's music videos. He is now a world renowned movie director.
Love ❤ this song!
And love the video, of course...
The tremendous talent of the entire band is demonstrated, in addition to music, for acting...
especially for the outstanding performance of the great Frida❤.
As a curious fact... who Frida bumps into on the street is the director of the video (Lasse Hallström). He directed the vast majority of their videos.
See you next time, Chase ✌️...
Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍
The Visitors is my favorite album. Ever. Do the whole thing.
Agnetha handles the lead in such a versatile way.Next one you my try 'Knowing me knowing you".A big no1 classic.
I can only repeat Tiger, knowing Me Knowing You , The Name Of The Game Great tracs!
Chiquitita!!
Thanks, Chase! 👤/👠👠
That was AMAZING! One of their brightest, most fun songs. Even an avid fan like myself didn't really pay it much attention at the time, but it grows on you. Best of luck with your channel, Chase.
Great reaction Chase - this is from their 1981 Visitors' Album. Other great songs from this I'd suggest are "I let the music speak", "Like an Angel Passing through my room" (both Frida) and "Slipping Through ny Fingers" (Agnetha). Love the joy you convey in your reactions. You do us die-hard ABBA fans proud!
dear young friend so nice to see you again in another reaction to ABBA songs
"Head over heels" (1981)
It's a very good song (between 7 or 8 pts)
unfairly despised or relegated
The official video is one of ABBA's most creative;
and the most funniest, with "Bang a Boomerang" (1975) and "Take a chance on me" (1978)
it could be a sequence of "Money money money"
Frida is excellent in her performance,
while Agnetha accompanies the narration of the story m, with mischievous winks, as the greatest storyteller She is
The song has the typical contrasts that ABBA exploits so well:
a soft opening melody with a sweet solo by Agnetha,
then moving on to a powerful chorus with one of the best and most beautiful harmonies by Agnetha and Frida
the pre chorus Is insane
In my opinion it is one of the best on the album "The Visitors"
It was #25 in the UK, a great brand for any band or singer, but it was not what ABBA expected, or what was expected of ABBA, and broke their series of 18 singles Top10 consecutives in UK
(for me it deserved to be Top 10)
And maybe could be an influence of tango in their melody
(I'm from Buenos Aires, tango city)
I see you in next ABBA vídeo
My best regards from
Buenos Aires Argentina
Fun fact, in the video Frida's man Björn (on the couch) was actually married to Agnetha (the blonde singer and Frida herself was married to Benny (the other guys who plays the piano :)
If none ever told you thats were the name ABBA comes from.
Agneta
Björn
Benny
AnniFrid (Frida) :)
This is from the album Visitors, and there music went in another direction. In my opinion, their best, and most beautiful music.❤
It's a tango rhythm.
Hi Chase, I've noticed in quite a few video reactions that you tend to click your start button WHILE STILL TALKING...such a practice is sooo wasteful as you would have already missed out on the very first beauty of that particular song.
The thing about this is, when it comes to ABBA music, a lot of their gem and beautiful sounds explode RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING of their song.
My humble suggestion, next time, finish off your opening verbal introduction properly, then pause about 3 seconds, before you eventually click your start button to start off the ABBA song or music video. That way, you won't miss out anything precious ❤
Your ABBA reactions are ALWAYS great. So keep up the good work ❤
"So long" another abba song
Frida released a solo album after ABBA, entitled 'Something Going On' not alot going on with it but the title song, which she does a really good job on IMHO.
Well that album, a collaboration with Phil Collins, sold 2 million copies. The best of any ABBA group solo album to date so something went on lol. I remember videos from it being constantly being played on MTV when they actually fid music.
Thanks for choosing this song! It often gets lost in the ABBA shuffle. Plus, it sounds amazing on a really good set of headphones. Nice reaction, my friend.
Next tee shirt 'woah' or 'wow'. 😊
You need to react to Dancing Queen, their most iconic
Thanks for doing the video of this. It's really humorous isn't it. Poor Bjorn being forced to go on a Frida shopping spree lol. Good song but I feel Fridas acting in this was fantastic. She really did modeling and was in some Swedish films and commercials before ABBA and you can tell. She would have been a great actress I think. And that slip on the stairs in the beginning was not planned she really slipped but said to leave it in. Please do Tropical Loveland. It's a great song tribute to Australia when they were on tour. Believe it or not it's reggae! Benny plays the accordian in it. Another type of song from them. Please do the live version from 1976. Take care
Always different but always abba
Hay Chase, a fun little ditty for sure.🎉 I really enjoy your posts. Remember, stay cool.
The whole album is great. "The Visitors"(1981), Deluxe version, has "I am the City", worth checking out. Other good tracks from "The Visitors" are "Soldiers", "When all is said and done". This album and "Arrival"(check out the track "Tiger"), imo are Abba's best. As you're finding out, you can't go wrong with Abba. You're doing all of us Abba fans proud! 😊 👍
And not to forget Super Trouper, another great and consistent album.
Beautiful song 👌
It's a fun song and video. Love how Frida showcases her shopping excursion and her taste in style. I feel bad for Bjorn for having to foot THAT bill! 😅
You're still missing some amazing songs. check out "Cassandra" and "Should I Laugh Or Cry"
When this was released in 1982 it was their first single not to reach the U.K. Top Ten since 1975. But what a song from one of their best albums.
Abba did so many different styles in their songs! You should try I am the city, Put on your white sombrero, The Piper, Under attack, I do I do I do (maybe you done that one?) or why not Disillution, an early gem composed by Agnetha.
I love Abba as much as you do. I'm Swedish just like they are not full Swedish only half but Swedish singers are very good
Benny, Agnetha and Bjorn were born in Sweden. That's 75%, not 50%
First time I have heard this song. I think it's about someone who stands out in the crowd! Another group for you to react to is "REM" whose songs include: Shiny Happy People , Man on the Moon , It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine).
Hey guys i know this is out of topic but might interest you. There's a poll in some 'Top in English" utube channel on which people vote for their favourite band of all time.Suggested ones are The Beatles/Bee Gees/Led Zep , ABBA are low 3rd for the moment. Some may be willing to support our faves.
That's just wrong! It's the diversity of different sounding groups and composers that's the thing...
@@herrbonk3635 i was reffering to the poll in the community section of the channel not the video.
thanx Chris, i just did, just for the fun.
@@christianoazzuro6711 Yes, such polls are nonsense.
@@herrbonk3635IMO Sometimes they are.The video was really goodfor me, and i liked it.
This was one of their last releases before their 40-year hiatus. They just never miss do they? :D
Even though ABBA were coming to an end at this point, this song is amazing, in my top ten..it should have charted much higher than it did
This was Abba in their later years.
Last session yes 😅
You should react to ABBA "I Am The City" and "Just A Notion"
Frida is my 2nd Cousin.
Oils you react to ABBA Under attack
Try .. Should I laugh or cry....
This sounds more European than their more well known hits.
4.03 Lasse Hallström ;-)
