This was a debate for a long time. We might never answer it certainly.

I have so much more compassion for JW’s since listening to your RUclips channel; how they were indoctrinated and how they sincerely believe that they are living God’s will. Your analysis on what and how the JW’s believe is very helpful. Your input on behavior is also enlightening. I pray that you help/minister to those who are a slave to this religion.

In my humble opinion, if you think you have the truth, you no longer need to look for it. If you continue to seek the truth, it, therefore, means you don't believe you have the truth.

I agree. I tend to believe that everyone is doing the best that they can with what they know to do at this time. Compassion for others and ourselves as Jesus did his best to influence into our world spoke to this many times did he not. To have compassion. "Who here can say they have no sin that can throw the first stone at this woman that is forced into a bad state of life from her circumstances or family" he is quoted as saying. ?

Very interesting concept. I was watching a RUclips you call "Star Talk" with Neil deGrasse Tyson. He was talking about free will and if it really exists or if it's just a perception we have. He made many of the same points about mental illness ect. It would seem that free will is limited at best. Essentially we have a handful of decisions and we base our choices on previous experiences.

I personally hold the belief that free will is merely an illusion. The brain operates based on a programmed system, controlled by an entity outside of time known as the Mind. Often, we tend to align with the ego's program without realizing our spiritual nature. It is crucial to awaken from the illusion of separation.
Practicing nonjudgmental awareness reveals that the body operates based on a program and does not define the real you. There is a Self behind the ego

One thing i like to see in exjw content is referring to the VICTIMS as Jehovah's Witnesses and the PERPETRATORS as the Watchtower. We need that language separation. Im sure people may feel different if they've been wronged by individuals of course but on the whole the JWs are the victims.

They usually refer to being a victims when they talk about time they spend as JWs.
