I took my daughter to see "Cast Away" when it came out. She was 12 years old at the time and a YUGE Tom Hanks fan. She wasn't scared by anything so I wasn't too worried. She thought the scene where he used the ice skate to knock his own tooth out was AWESOME! Anyway, cut to the scene where Wilson falls into to the ocean and floats away and Hanks is screaming "WILSON!" My daughter starts bawling in the theatre, inconsolably. I had to take her out. In the car, it took her 5 minutes to calm down. She's 32 now, with kids of her own, and to this day she can't watch that scene without tearing up.

One day, Arnold got a request to play a role in a movie about classical composers. After a moment of contemplation, he made his choice and sent his reply. "I'll be Bach."

T2 is the perfect movie. To me the greatest feat is how the second act makes you forget the T-1000 threat is still there because you don't even have time to think "well he's gonna show up again of course".
No, you are talking about Last of Us, in which the first 10 minutes your daughter dies. In Metal Gear Solid 3, you are a soldier named Snake and you're task is to kill your mentor that defected to the Russians during the Cold War. But there is a huge plot twist, that she actually was following orders and everything went wrong in the first chapter of the game. And so Snake kills his mentor, the Boss, and after her death, all the nearby flowers get red, and then Snake becomes the legendary warrior named Big Boss, and he learns that the Boss didn't defect. And then he goes to her grave and he salutes her tomb while crying.
So true on the Terminator Genesys trailer! That scene was supposed to be a spoiler moment in that movie, but they showed it on the trailers and wouldn't stop playing it over and over everywhere to remind people that they just revealed a major plot point in the latest Terminator movie.
I just rewatched this in preparation for the release of the latest movie....i first saw this and cried back when i was a kid 15 years ago...and now..even after being a fully grown adult, i got no shame in admitting that i pretty much could have filled a bucket with my tears. This one was good, but I still like the first movie more. It had more if a horror vibe to it, with the unknown, and unstoppable killer, in the form.of the T 800 coming after her, and no real keans if stopping it, with the weapons of 1984. T2 was intense, but The Terminator beats it like a red headed step child, in said intensity.
To be fair, it was quite obvious from the beginning of the film which one was the villain. The T-800 beat up and injured a load of people but never killed anyone. The only time he was going to was just before John Connor stopped him, whereas the T-1000 immediately killed the cop that found him right at the beginning.
K IRA Actually it's NOT obvious. The Terminator not being lethal could simply be boiled down to him being in a public place and not wanting to draw too much suspicion for Murder. And when the T-1000 arrives and takes down the cop, it's not an obvious killing blow. All we see is a swift punch to the gut and the cop drops to the ground, and then it cuts to him wearing the uniform. Had the T-1000 actually been human then that wouldn't have been lethal at all, but with the knowledge that he's a Terminator that can make stabbing weapons out of his hands it becomes obvious that he killed that officer. The exact moment when the T-1000 is outed as being a villain is when he shoots the innocent guy in the Galleria hallway.
K IRA No you don't really. What you hear isn't quite identifiable as a stabbing sound. Terminator 2 is my favorite film and I've seen it more times than I can count. It's basically a grunt and muffled sound that's MEANT to be perceived as the cop being knocked out. He's supposed to seem like a good guy up until the Galleria.
The ending about leaving the arm behind (just like in part 1) was HILARIOUS, as was the entire trailer! You also had an AWESOME point that they shouldn't have spoiled the fact that Arnold was a good guy in the trailer! I've seen a few articles that cited numerous trailers over the years that gave away TOO much of the film! It was funny that you said so, but it was also a completely valid point!
It’s probably been commented a thousand times but that but at the start where they matched the sound effect of comments popping up to the terminator theme was BAD ASS and clever!
This comment's lack of traction demonstrates that the musical note some RUclips people have after their channel name is far, far less valuable than the tick.
In the book adaptation(maybe director's cut too) at the end John went and picked up T's metal arm stuck in gears. Then he dropped it in melting metal. Book said "The gears began rotating, like a clock, ticking the beginning of new time for humankind"
Dmitrry Voronin If I remember correctly, in the movie he throws Terminator parts into the molten metal, but it's the parts from the original terminator that were in his backpack.
Richard Merrick I tried that once. Jim Gordon ended up wearing the suit; Bruce had to sit in Metron's chair to keep it from flying away because they needed info on Darkseid and the Anti-Monitor. Comics are weird.
Even in 2016, only 2 things truly date those movies. Arrival scenes with the bubbles, and the Terminator walking away from the exploding tanker at the end of the original film. When the film making tech at the time is the only thing that suspends the disbelief of people that many years later...it is truly a master piece. And then there is T3, Salvation, and Genisys.
The thing about practical effects is that they will always hold up, precisely because they're practical. Which means, you're watching a real thing. CGI might be exciting at first when you have this "wow, how did they do that" effect, but when you're watching CGI in every single movie getting more and more crazy, it starts to lose its effect. Even the most elaborated action sequence will be boring because you know all that isn't happening for real.
@@maciejkowalski2759 I dont think so. CGI can be really good nowadays. Nothing happens for real anyways. CGI or not it's still just an a truck filmed with countless cuts and effects to make it look real in the movie. Cartoons are a great example. You can make cartoons a lot better than movies with real peoples and things. To me it's really about talent. Is your real or fake stuff looks great or not.
Maciej Kowalski I don’t think so. Look at this Film for example. The CGI even today looks very good. Look at Fincher and Scorsese who very often use CGI for sets but you don’t notice it. If you do it correctly (not like spider man, that movies literally looks like crap), CGI can make a movie much better
Does anybody ever notice that on their Terminator videos, the sound of the request dropping in the beginning are to the melody of the Terminator theme??? Maybe I'm stupid, but no one ever comments on it.
+3rd Gunman because its an obvious and plain joke... What could you possibly say about it, but _"hey, thats the melody of the theme"_. yeah, no sh1t sherlock.
Kirby Fully Loaded I'll probably get slammed for saying this, but I like the new one. I love T1 and T2. I hate T3 and T4. Genisys isn't as good as 1 or 2, but it's much better than 3 or 4. My advice is, go see it and make up your own mind.
My thoughts exactly. People are only complaining about the movie based on what critics are saying. And whenever they see it, they're already under the assumption that it's horrible.
***** there's poop, there's crap, there's shit, and there's DEFECATION. On the scale of human excrements, T5 was the last one. You know you shouldn't see it by how they "creatively" misspelled the movie name. I'm not a native English speaker, and I still feel sorry fir the way that they have butchered the English language. GENISYS? What in the devil is that?
Congrats Honest Trailer voice on the pizza Hut commercial. I had to hear it twice to be sure and dragged my whole family to see. Hope to hear you peddling pizza, cars , ED meds and more. Welcome to the big time!
He is right, the trailers really do ruin a lot of movies. Like think back to The Terminator, or T2, imagine if you had never seen them before, and knew nothing about them. You really would not know Arnold is a machine for sure well into The Terminator, and you really would not know the T-1000 is actually the bad guy in T2 until a good chunk into the movie. God, I am sick of trailers ruining things, but I guess it is a trade off, you have to show enough to get the audience hyped about it.
PageofLegend i showed my gf T2 and didnt give away who was the good guy. She was so confused and on edge in the beginning thinking arnold was the bad guy

jsullivan05 Alex Mack was a character in a Nickelodeon series called The Secret World of Alex Mack, she's doused with chemicals and gains powers, one of which is the ability to morph into liquid that looks similar to that.
I don't think they do brand new movies that much since they need to use high quality footage to make their videos and have an audience that has seen the movie.
Actually, The Dark Knight is maybe SURPRISINGLY PG-13. It's a goshdarned violent movie that featured almost 5% blood but also featured 95% the brutality.
1:54 - Easy: 'casualty' does not mean 'fatality'. This means that what's being mathematically calculated is how much injury is sustainable by the human body before "1.0", which is death. Understood this way, that scene is suddenly absolutely badass.
"Human Casualties: 12.63 (Guy in the back screaming in agony because he's looking his left arm and the decimated bottom half of his own body several meters away) Please kill me!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! HAVE MERCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "I have no human emotions..."
Alex Mack was a tv show on Nickelodeon where a girl had several powers, one of which meant she could morph into a puddle and travel. When she morphed, she looked just like T1000 when he's just liquid metal. Just look it up on youtube
I didn't know anyone even remembered the show, haha. Super powers, and a pretty girl...when I was a kid Alex Mack was probably my first celebrity crush haha
VohnExel She was definitely smoking from my 10 year old perspective. An Alex Mack reference was the last thing I was expecting to here and yet it was perfect.

Cryptus Maximus But you heard the stabbing sound.
And the first Terminator killed people for their clothes and killed people even in public.
Cryptus Maximus It's one of my favourites films as well, and I've seen it many, many times, and I always heard it as a stabbing noise.
Ah, loved the little touch you guys did at the start.
It’s probably been commented a thousand times but that but at the start where they matched the sound effect of comments popping up to the terminator theme was BAD ASS and clever!
I lost my shit @ "indestructible nokia brick phone"
This comment's lack of traction demonstrates that the musical note some RUclips people have after their channel name is far, far less valuable than the tick.
"meet the T-1000, the Iphone of Killer Cyborgs" I lost my shit right there
In the book adaptation(maybe director's cut too) at the end John went and picked up T's metal arm stuck in gears. Then he dropped it in melting metal. Book said "The gears began rotating, like a clock, ticking the beginning of new time for humankind"
Dmitrry Voronin Really? Cool, thanks for the detail bro.
Dmitrry Voronin If I remember correctly, in the movie he throws Terminator parts into the molten metal, but it's the parts from the original terminator that were in his backpack.
i know now why you cry. But it's something I can never do. Best line ever
This is is me. I'm just not prone to fits of tears like most people. I guess some of us are built different.
I dunno "All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain." gives it a run for its money. Maybe a tie.
Say "I am darkness. I am the night. I. AM. BATMAN."
Or: "Do you want to build a snowman?"
Aequitas 1995 It's vengeance, bud. Not darkness..
***** I thought it was darkness. Ah well.
Aequitas 1995 works both ways tbh
Aequitas 1995 Do you want to build a BAAAAAATTTMAAAAAAAAAAN!?
Richard Merrick I tried that once. Jim Gordon ended up wearing the suit; Bruce had to sit in Metron's chair to keep it from flying away because they needed info on Darkseid and the Anti-Monitor.
Comics are weird.
The best terminator film
T2 is better.
both are great.
Both are great. They are different movies with different budgets.
If Hillary wins, all Terminator movies will become reality.
Great movie. Yes, I cried a bit at the end. YEP.
me too
All boys did.
jurisprudens 6 Fox Sports
If you didn't cry when Ah-nold gave the thumb's up you have no soul.
HEY Arnold, Alex Mac, and Salute Your Shorts all in one 90s movie trailer. Perfect.
Not related to movies but would be epic to say "War... War never changes..."
Eduardo Perosso Fallout FTW!
MrGundam420 High Five! _o/
Eduardo Perosso In his voice? YES.
He already did on the Star Fox 64 Honest Trailer.
Mia Thanks! Didn't noticed, gonna go there to see it :D
The Mad Max Trilogy Honest Trailer
Alex Sc Yes!!
An honest trailer for the Mad Max trilogy !!!
Alex Sc Yeah! Do Mad Max Trilogy!
Alex Sc That would be awesome. Please, do it!!
Alex Sc Hell Yeah. All the Mad Max movies.
Honest trailer for Predator please!!
Sai Teja Honestly, why isn't there one already?!
Yes, yes and yes.
UP
FUCK YEAH FUCK YEAH DO IT!
And it still isn't there
I remember the day I saw this back in 1991. Wow! What a sequel. Seriously bad ass.
Hey, what about the practical effects?
That helicopter chase and truck explosion still hold up!
That last bit about his arm left in the factory blew my mind!
Does anybody ever notice that on their Terminator videos, the sound of the request dropping in the beginning are to the melody of the Terminator theme???
Maybe I'm stupid, but no one ever comments on it.
+3rd Gunman yeah, I noticed it too
+3rd Gunman
because its an obvious and plain joke...
What could you possibly say about it, but _"hey, thats the melody of the theme"_. yeah, no sh1t sherlock.
3rd Gunman
wtf?
+Yatsura2 Because you just showed me what a D!ck looks like....
3rd Gunman
I thought that would be fair, after you showed us what attention-seeking looks like.
The Fonz and Gun in Roses had me dying. 😂
T2 is still my favourite but I haven't seen the newest one yet.
Thier not good but watch cinemasins on youtube
GENISYS? What in the devil is that?
vadim6385 Sounds like something a company would realistically do, just saying.
I love the subtle terminator theme at the beginning
Honesta La Vista, ScreenJunkies
“... only this one is f*cking intense!”
T2 ist still in my top 3 movies ever
It's my number 1
Top 10 for me
T2 & Aliens my top 2. My favourite honest trailers to😂
My #1
oh my god I have to stooppppp. I have other things I need to do besides watch honest trailers.
And read all of the comments after them!
xD
we need an intervention?
Congrats Honest Trailer voice on the pizza Hut commercial. I had to hear it twice to be sure and dragged my whole family to see. Hope to hear you peddling pizza, cars , ED meds and more. Welcome to the big time!
Lol saw it too
Alan Cerda I heard him again in a commercial for Chappie!
Hunter Hughes (The DVD, of course.)
Rahsaan Footman Its not him lol.
Gholayat Wasn't there another one he did?
0:21 when you open the oven to get the pizza and that wave of heat hits you
step 1)Go to 0:00
step 2)Close your eyes
step 3)Play
Sounds familiar?
E.P Σpan I honestly didn't catch that the first time lmao
Do How I met your mother
E.P Σpan No. No it does not. Should it?
Thanks captain obvious!
Literally the first thing i noticed when i clicked this vid lmao
Baqca Sanke Even though the T-1000 casually stabs a cop in his first scene?
@@jdnm797 Arnold also stabs a guy in his first scene and breaks a guy's arm
Good thing I don't watch trailers before seeing the movies
Way too many spoilers, like leave the audiences to ponder at least
Do a Quentin Tarantino film! Inglorious bastards or something!!!
***** Nein Nein Nein Nein Nein!
***** This! We need a nitpick on Kill Bill and Django Unchained.
***** Pulp Fiction would be perfect
***** They'll probably make one the time 'The Hateful Eight' comes out
I love that they made the comments in the beginning make The Terminator theme song
last action hero. do it now
DO IT NAOOWW
gun n roses ... gun IN roses ! haha how do you find these things!?
Marcelo Azocar Talent?
Marcelo Azocar It was in purpose. James Cameron, a joker.
Marcelo Azocar that has to be sarcasm.. well played sir, had me guessing
Marcelo Azocar Uhm, by watching the movie and getting the reference? It's not like the Shotgun was in the box of roses by coincidence
Casualty counter that is down to the decimal point for some reason ahahahaha
Yea this line didn't get enough credit
Zohar Uzuki There was no 'point' to it.. ahaa :-p
Yeah there's no need for this 😆
It's for Skynet's high score table.
@Filip Sarkic … and extremist political activists, forum trolls, mass shooters, assholes with addictions who beat their wife and kids, and ...
I really love this movie. I remember walking to the mall that isnt there anymore, past the walmart that wasnt built yet, to see it.
Say, "A pizza with a hot dog crust? That's disgusting"
Looooooolllll
Reuben Duncan Rekt by his own voice
Shut up
It looks so good!
I just saw that ad before this video
''Alex Mack'' LMAO.
Nostalgia.
***** Nah. I didn't look at her like that. Mine was Jennifer Lopez. My sister had a few CD's of her and the books inside the CD's had pictures of her. That would make me go insane lol. This was before the time porn was easily found on the internet.
"Hey Arnold!"
Kaiser I didn't get the joke, I know who that is, but what is the reference to the T1000 morphing in it's liquid metal form? Thanks for any help :-)
jsullivan05 Alex Mack was a character in a Nickelodeon series called The Secret World of Alex Mack, she's doused with chemicals and gains powers, one of which is the ability to morph into liquid that looks similar to that.
JURASSIC PARK 3 DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John Roig neh, same things can be said about that one, except it's shorter.
K Damon The Epic voice always has something new to say
John Roig JP3 has to walk down Hollywood Boulevard while voice over guy rings a bell and repeatedly says "Shame".
Justice Suks You, sir, have won my respect.
I don't think they do brand new movies that much since they need to use high quality footage to make their videos and have an audience that has seen the movie.
After nearly 3 decades, that last comment about the arm he left behind just blew my mind 😖
Yeah, but it’s totally crushed, and there’s no microchip, which was the real key to everything.
The Best Sequel in Movie HISTORY!
And Aliens and Evil Dead 2.
And Empire Strikes Back, Winter Soldier, LOTR Two Towers, and Blade Runner 2049
Star wars episode 5 would like to have a word with you
@@logan6773 nobody even remembers the winter soldier. It’s nothing more than a typical generic cookie cutter instantly forgettable marvel movie.
Um Spider-Man 2
PG-13 ruined action films forever.
Yupp
+metamofia At least we got Fury Road
Mission impossible ghost protocol is PG-13 and it is still great
And the dark knight
Actually, The Dark Knight is maybe SURPRISINGLY PG-13. It's a goshdarned violent movie that featured almost 5% blood but also featured 95% the brutality.
Say: "The Fractured But Whole"
Can't wait for that to come out.
Returded Phoenixmorph That´s what she said
Kokusnussraspler thats what ur mom said right before u were born.
Flantastic the fractured butthole
Starring: SO MUCH PROMISE. So true Eduard Furlong did nothing after this.
Did American History X.
Rick Reason yes, but not much after that unfortunatly
That horrible crow sequel (the last crow movie)
1:54 - Easy: 'casualty' does not mean 'fatality'. This means that what's being mathematically calculated is how much injury is sustainable by the human body before "1.0", which is death. Understood this way, that scene is suddenly absolutely badass.
The idiots who make these vids are to stupid to know this.
so how many knee caps does it take to equal 1 fatality.
kyriss12, 4.7.
42
So, if there are two people each with 0.5 casualty, then you have 1 casualty in the end? Doesn't make any sense.
i love the "STARRING" part :D
Now you have to do Last Action Hero. Also, in the T - 800's defense, "I am a robot. Not a miracle worker."
The Budnick reference from "Salute your shorts" is a super-deep cut and I love it!
One of the few movies when it's appropriate for a man to cry lol
WesternWolf yeah, At how bad it is!
@@SonnyGTA you have horrible taste
"Human Casualties: 12.63

Please kill me!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! HAVE MERCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"I have no human emotions..."
LOL, I loved this movie as a kid! Watched it every time it came on. The Alex Mack reference is everything.
I didn't get the alex mack reference?
Alex Mack was a tv show on Nickelodeon where a girl had several powers, one of which meant she could morph into a puddle and travel. When she morphed, she looked just like T1000 when he's just liquid metal. Just look it up on youtube
Do you still love the movie now?
Love the rhythm in the beginning!
"the Che Guevara of soccer moms" lol
Woah, that Secret World of Alex Mack reference!
I almost spit my drink out when I heard that. These guys are masters of pop culture references
Haha yeah, the show was pretty cool too, I remember her working out her powers and being upset at the episode with the Witch since her powers seemed to be blocked or whatever in it.
+VohnExel Was about to post the same thing =D Used to love that show
3:15
man, you guys GOTTA do Last Action Hero! i mean, SERIOUSLY!!!
I'd like to see that one too tbf
I love the fact that you started the video with the theme song
Terminator 2 is definitely the best. :'c *nostalgic sniffle*
Do Tremmors!!!

You broke into the wrong goddamn rec room!
dèl Păntión Is that the one about Aliens that invade Earth posing as Barbers?? 😃

No, nokia brick phones were been Arnold all along........
I saw (heard) what you did there with the comments requesting this trailer! Nicely done!
