DPW worker shot while collecting trash

A Baltimore City Department of Public Works employee was shot while on the job, collecting trash, city police said. A man began firing shots around 10:51 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of Allendale Street, striking a 42-year-old DPW worker. Police said the worker suffered a gunshot wound to the torso. The victim was put into the DPW vehicle and taken to a hospital, where he was in stable condition, police said.
