    I have been given a terminal cancer diagnosis, I’m 41 and had been putting everything off until I was more successful, have more money. I’m so so sad to be dying but I’ve started to accept and am feeling very peaceful. I’m looking forward to seeing my mother again and all my dogs I’ve loved through my life. Please don’t put off your goals and dreams. Thank you Russell x

    I find that two things help me the most. 1. Try not to buy into any of it, don't "own situations" All things pass. 2. I'm a disabled man, and rely on my mobility scooter to get out & about, so once a day, every day of the year, come rain, sun, wind, fog, ice, snow, I visit Something much bigger than myself, I visit my "Sparrow tree". I sit under the branches of this beautiful being on my scooter, looking up into the branches and leaves, it's beauty is amazing, branches covered in multi colour lichens, the way the branches twist and turn, the abundant insect life that buzzes among it's leaves, and of course those little rascals the Sparrows! I love their chatter and chirps, and little scuffles with each other. I spend around half an hour every day admiring and appreciating this huge being, it helps take my mind off little old me, and any problems I may have.

      This is beautiful and made me tear up (in a good way. I have MS and it seems to be progressing. Not quite how I'd planned my life (same for you undoubtedly). I have two young children which I Love more than words can explain, I had them later in life, my daughter just turned 5 and my son 6 and a half. I am 43 now, I had my first flareup around 3 years ago, so I definitely didn't expect this. It makes me sad that I can't run around with my babies. It frustrates me that I get so fatigued so easily. But nothing brings me more joy than just watching them play, laughing with them, listening to their little giggles.
      I sit outside a lot as well. Luckily we have a nice large yard for the children, with trees and birds.
      I just wanted to thank you for sharing. I wanted to let you know that you are never alone. I felt connected to your words. I would like to send you lots of Love and virtual hugs. We are in this together. (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))

      @@mirafawn1019 , Thank you so much for sharing your story Mira. I agree wholeheartedly with you that it's the little things that bring most joy to a person, your children are a blessing to you, as my "Sparrow tree" is for me. I fully understand the frustrations of not being able to walk and the constant fatigue ( I don't have MS, I have Diabetes.) and the loss of the plans and dreams that once were. In my own case, I was a Paramedic with nearly 25 years service, and my life changed in just a few seconds, to cut a very long story short I was called out to a man in his 50's, an office worker in the city. I was met at the elevator on the 4th floor of the building by the office manager, who walked/guided me to where my patient was and who was having a suspected M/I (heart attack.) Part of the route took us between people sitting at desks and the large office windows. There wasn't much room to walk at all, I had to pull my very large paramedic bag around from off my shoulder to the middle of my chest to enable me to fit and walk in that tight space.
      I was asking the office manager questions about my patient as we were walking, his age, any medical history she knew about etc. Suddenly as we were walking past the people at the desks, one of them got up quickly and "kicked" her wheeled office chair behind her and right into my path ( she had to go elsewhere in the office for some reason apparently) My left knee connected with the wheeled chair ( I felt it, I couldn't see it because the bag in the middle of my chest was obscuring my view of what was in front of me) And with my full weight and weight of the Paramedic bag on my knee, I suddenly went wheeling toward the window unable to stop myself, hit the glass with a tremendous crash, and the next thing I remember was the sound of and the feeling of wind on my face.
      I woke up in a Hospital, my immediate thought = Pain! Apparently I had been unconscious for just under a week, I had survived the fall ( I was told that my head was cushioned by my paramedic bag as I hit the pavement) but my body was very broken, arms, hands, back, legs, neck, ribs, pelvis, feet, were all smashed to pieces. I spent just over a year being put back together and healing, then two years of physio, and then four years in a wheelchair. Today I have very limited use of my hands and legs, but I can manage to get on and off my scooter . To make matters worse, in the four year period of me being wheelchair bound, my Wife took very ill, (Sepsis among other things) and ultimately suffered a stroke, M/I ( heart attack) and had to have her left leg amputated above her knee. So we are a right pair together! lol, but we live day by day, take it as it comes, and just do our best to get on with things. I hope you don't mind me sharing my story Mira, and hope it wasn't too long a post to read. Thank you for sending your hugs and love, I send them right back at you, please take care, keep your chin up, and never let them grind you down. All the best, John.

      I did that also. Just be aware that you can overcome it. Most folks do, in fact. I took meds for over 30 years trying to cope - and that was not the answer. I haven't had any meds for over a year, and no panic attacks. Therapy and time. That's all it takes. But don't expect to find the answer in a drug. It isn't there. In fact, long-time - drugs like Xanax make it worse.

      Hi people firstly let's put things into perspective, humans have not always been this foolish, (hence Russell's optimism) history tells us that the problems we contend with (violence, inequality, power, etc, etc) arose some 10,000-12,000 years ago the neolithic revolution, was the transitional period that led us on this deranged path we face today. Now for more clarity on are current problems and how to change it, may I recommend a short lecture from Peter Joseph called : Sustainability beyond political categorization. I'm dealing with a heartbreak, stolen parts of my bike (my favourite sport is cycling so this is huge), financial issues. I started doing gratitude journal in the morning and evening but I focus on feelings and non-materialistic stuff for gratitude. I'm also journaling a lot. If I feel like I need to talk to someone, rather than talking, I word vomit into the journal. I find it working better than talking to people because it doesn't talk back or tries to give me advice. My journal is just there, taking my thoughts and words and suddenly my thoughts and feelings fall into place.

      @@ryzewisdom That is interesting , as I read similar comments on other self.help videos. There was a woman once commenting that she told her therapist if he knew all that, that you can heal yourself with the way you think and with being grateful, and he said yes.. She stood up, said Thanks for nothing, and never went back to therapy...I've been in therapy for over 20 years and it's been going very slowly, but videos like this (and books ) made me much , much better within weeks ! I am grateful for this; for people like Russell and Bob Proctor , who said that you can heal yourself from depression; every morning, write down the things you are grateful for. And believe me, it works! Einstein said 100 x Thank you per day, and all good things came to him.. Love and light to you xx

      @Knight Rhyder "Little"...
      That involves judgement.
      Who's to say your perspective is sound ?
      That fact this has to be said already implies failure. Man is so far up his own arse its evil and even sad. I, just as many children do, reject you and your ilk.
      'Adults' are evil!

    • @9unner22
      @9unner22 3 года назад +2

      @Knight Rhyder evil can be just the opposite of what you just said.
      The most evil are those who know full well, the error of their ways.
      Children are not lower than another, simply by virtue of the fact that their physical body has only danced with the sun a quantified number of times. For All We Know, children are closer to divinity than we
      Their ability to communicate with the NEW body they have is the limiting factor.
      I want ppl to grasp and understand: things maybe be evaluated much more differently that expected/taught.

    Honestly, I appreciate the wisdom you part with us. I’m currently struggling immensely with my ego refusing to let go and the sense that the powers that be want me to let go and allow myself to become free. I’m going through a lot of pain and pressure and I can’t speak to anyone about it because the things I believe would make any rational person believe I’m crazy but watching your videos helps assure me I’m doing right by practicing self improvement. So thank you, even though you’ll most likely never know me, you’ve been here for me in a way I haven’t allowed anyone to in a long time.

      Hi Ash, I hope things are somewhat improved and you're allowing yourself to be alive and free in each new moment, that you realise that like all of us in the words of my power voice mentor (Les Brown), "you were chosen out of 300 million sperm. You were created on purpose with a purpose...Live a life that will outlive you. Don't allow your hopes and dreams to die with you. Rob the cemetery of your dreams. You have greatness in you. You have something special. Share your gifts. It's important and it's necessary." Spend a moment every day to thank the universe/god/a higher power for the air in your lungs, the ground under your feet, the roof above your head, the food and drink you have access to, the beating heart of consciousness, awareness, love, intuition and gratitude in your chest, the gut awareness in your belly, the birds, bees, plants and animals you encounter, the ability to speak your truth (on paper, to trusted individuals or via social media, in drawing or mixed media, poetry, song, meditation, you name it, it's yours). Know that no matter what you are inspiring someone just be existing, by showing up authentically, listening to others, listening to yourself, holding space for truth, being open minded enough to watching these videos, to comment, have respectful healthy debate and to know that there's only one you, never repeated. What do you want to be remembered for? Have a wonderful day. 💖🙏 I hope something amongst my musing resonates if you are struggling or if you have healed.

      Good day, Casey - You said, 'I'm currently trying desperately to find sobriety from several addictions, stable mental health, and an ordinary life.' Do your best to slow down and take things one step at a time. Do not judge yourself harshly but DO hold yourself accountable for your actions. Talk things over with God. He is all we have in this world that is good. Don't expect every day or everything to be fun or happy, learn to appreciate as much as you can. Hold yourself accountable for your choices, don't make excuses and at the same time appreciate the small things, especially the free things. Money doesn't buy happiness. If you do not yet know Jesus Christ as a component of your life - seek Him and keep praying.

    Listening to Mr Russell is so life changing for me. If I had millions of dollars I could not afford a better mentor.
    I'm blessed that he shared his words with me.

    Russel, I truly admire your way of life and your advice. I’ve been struggling with addiction for the better part of 10 years. I’ve been misguided with bipolar one and I have been prescribe high doses of clozapine and depakote. They haven’t helped at all. In fact i fired my psychiatrist who was a complete idiot and was just in it to prescribe more meds. I’ve recently got in touch with a brilliant psychiatrist who is weening me off meds and doesn’t think I’m bipolar. I went to rehab for 5 1/2 months in 2009 and I lived anxiety free and lived a spiritual program for 2 years. It was great. The best time that I’ve had in my life. Then I got hair transplants and was prescribed Vicodin. I immediately went back to using. That’s when the diagnosed with bipolar. I’m not bipolar. I just suffer from the disease of alcoholism, which can imitate bipolar disorder. My sister is a pharmaceutical sales rep for psych meds, which makes matters worse because she drinks the kool aid and believes I’m bipolar. She’s toxic. I know I’m asking a lot, but will you bring to work with me as both a spiritual advisor and maybe as an 12 step sponsor. I’m in desperate need. I respect your views on life and think I can learn a lot from you. Please help me. I would be so grateful. Please consider working with me. I’d really appreciate it. I’m desperate. Thanks russel. Please get back to me. Thanks again and just consider possible helping me anyway you can. 💯❤️🤙

      Oxygen - I can feel your pain and I too had to be my own advocate - 12 steps - start over Keep it simple and MAKE IT YOUR PRIORITY above anything else - others can support but you already know Its an inside job only you can commit to

      I'm sending lots of love to you. I've been clean for 13 years from Heroin. I've been clean from Prozac, Xanax and Lithium for 15 years. A lot of it is about mindset. your body adapted to the drugs and got really good at it but your body can also adapt to not taking any drugs and get really good at it. Our bodies are adapting machines. I know you can do it. I believe in you. Sending positivity, healing and healthy thoughts to you
