My mom has been a hair dresser for almost 40 years, the best thing to do in the situation about the cutting around the ears is to tell the person doing your hair beforehand so that way they know what to expect and can act accordingly. Best thing would probably be to tell you exactly when they do it and to maybe place a hand in your shoulder to make you feel more stable. She's given a lot of haircuts to kids and not many like the clippers next to their ears. She picked stuff up over the years. Suddenly jerking your head away while there are clippers or scissors next to your ear is a good way to do more than nic your ear.

My mom has been a hair dresser for almost 40 years, the best thing to do in the situation about the cutting around the ears is to tell the person doing your hair beforehand so that way they know what to expect and can act accordingly. Best thing would probably be to tell you exactly when they do it and to maybe place a hand in your shoulder to make you feel more stable. She's given a lot of haircuts to kids and not many like the clippers next to their ears. She picked stuff up over the years.
Suddenly jerking your head away while there are clippers or scissors next to your ear is a good way to do more than nic your ear.
