- I don't really have the time to do full covers at the moment so this is part of a run of short clips utilising my new Isovox2 vocal booth.
I'm hoping to keep these regular now that I can sing in my own home without deafening my wife and neighbours

If DT ever need a singer after LaBrie.... you have to be the man!!!
It's an excellent cover but the high notes are aggressive, LaBrie sang them with a lightness that is very hard to copy. This style would be amazing (even better than LaBrie) for Awake or Train of Thought!

One of my fav DT tracks and one of my fav vocalists - what a treat! I always thought Awake (and to a certain degree, Serenity off the new record) reminded me of a modernised, second-coming version of Take the Time. Keep kicking ass man, rock on!

Great voice man! Are you pleased with your isovox? I wonder if I should get one.. and also Ive seen that you use a sm7b sometimes, do you think that sm7b is greater for journey, europe h.e.a.t and that kind of music or do you prefer a kondesator mic for that job?
tobias jonsson hey man! I love the Isovox it means I can record without worrying about my neighbours as much. I generally use an SM7b as I like the sound of it. If it's good enough for Michael Jackson on Thriller, then it's good enough for anyone in my opinion. Also when you're messing about with the microphones environment using a small booth, a dynamic mic seems far less sensitive to the changes so I'd highly recommend that to go along with the isovox

I was scouted this year. Tried out to see what it was about "wasn't what they were looking for". The Voice and all those entertainment shows are just that, entertainment. They care nothing about music or the artists unfortunately. I said years ago I'd never do one and I still stand by that. I appreciate your support :)

You have an EXCEPTIONAL VOICE.... Where ALL PULLING FOR YOU!!! YOU'LL MAKE IT. i have shared you videos with many of my friends and they are in shock after hearing them. What I have found out is that most of them like your through backs and are shying away from metal.. but you can sing it all. Best of luck to you and know I'll be following because I see greatness here!!
Any chance of getting some full covers of these? Portnoy getting the boot made it too painful to listen to DT but this is just too epic
