I was thinking the same thing! Maybe stations for instant health because the regen would run out?
he just needs to put dispensers with health/regen pots under the track, activated by detector rails
Ryan Garthwaite Regen is probably better since the time you can make it last is probably enough, and work as long as there's no major damage. Health potions would kind of run out immediately in comparison.

Etho, I really like the Rube Goldberg machine so far! But I think you should do something different. I KNOW Rube Goldberg machines are supposed to be pointless, and random. But I think it should have a STORY. A story about that villager. It could end with him making it to a real village where he (or she) has friends. The machine could go through caves, different biomes, and you would be following the machine on a minecart. I know it's different the other Rube Goldberg machines, but doing something different to yours could make it even more special for the 400th episode. Keep up the great videos!

Congratulations for reaching 400 episodes! You have already done a great job and you inspired so many people, including me. I have an idea for continuing the machine: maybe you could work on it every 10 episodes, as an extra thing in your video. Then you will be able to keep up with both your world and the machine. And maybe have a 'finished' machine at 500? Anyways, I really like your videos and I hope you will go on for quite a while.

I really like the arena with no lighting or night vision. You can't really see the walls when it's like that and you feel like you're on a platform in the middle of nowhere. It's pretty cool.

Hey Etho, a few episodes ago you talked about not having a bedroom. I think you should make one, and in it set up gear recovery dispensers. So, if you die you respawn in the bedroom, and you get equipped with armor, tools, food, ender pearls, and speed potions so you can get your gear back before it despawns. Plus now you'll have a bedroom :)

Hey Etho, you should add a minecart track system that will move you from viewing point to viewing point (activated by the villager or by the machine) , that way you can get the best viewing angles at the right time.:)
I think so to, it may just end up being a lot of redstone to make him stop at specific places at the right time, and for a set amount of time. It may also be tedious and time consuming to work out the timing. But this is Etho we're talking about. Did you see the Episode when he first started working out his nether hub? I dont think he would have too much trouble about timings, based on that.

RsiriusMC I was thinking that before he mentioned it too. And timing wouldn't be too hard, he could just drop an unpowered rail and then manually push forward when it's time then hit another powered rail in a few blocks.
But that would take twice as long to build then. After he builds the machine, he has to spend extra time making a camera track too? I think he should skip the camera track and spend the extra time on more segments of the machine.

Some ideas for the machine:
1. Slime block launchers to make the villager fly insane distances
2. A big flying machine made of pistons and slime blocks for him to ride
3. A zombie horde that tries to attack the villager but instead runs around him activating pressure plates
4. A part that sends the villager flying through a ring of lava just before it closes
5. An avalanche of sand that the villager narrowly escapes
6. TNT cannons firing at the villager, destroying the track behind him
7. Note blocks that play the Zelda tune that plays when you solve a puzzle
8. Falling anvils
9. General Spaz's revenge
10. An ending where the villager miraculously arrives back at the house in the end, just before it blows up in a shower of fireworks :D
Etho PLEASE record the rest of the creation of Rube Goldberg machine. Maybe 399 part 2 or something? The creativity and fun on this project makes it amazingly entertaining to watch, and the scenery is great. I really hope you record the rest of the construction on this project, it is becoming one of my favorite projects.
I have a cinematic idea for the 400th episode's Rube Goldberg Machine!
You should also make footage of you riding the Villager's path, so you can offer POV shots of the machine. For instance alternating between outside and inside view for cool parts! (Like the gravel blowing up.)
Or even do it like in some movies, where you have the same event from different points of view! ^^
Anyway, just a random idea! :3

Etho, remeber you can always throw a healing potion out of a dispenser at the villager, so you don't need to be so carefull about him taking dmg ;) Keep being awesome :D
Suggestions for the Machine is to have stations of health pots heal the villager so he can constantly get tortured.

Here's an idea: put a row of hoppers in the water stream to catch any stray items after the tnt outside the house explodes. that way, no items will set of the minecart! :)
That place you chose for the Rube Golberg machines reminds me of the area you used for the firework display in your first LP world.

Hey Etho, instead of having those holes you made for the block catcher, you should put a line of hoppers to replace them. The villager goes over it smoothly and the blocks don't get in the way. Love your videos and keep up the good work.

Hey Etho, if your going to use the villager as a major part of the machine, and have him take damage often, it might be a good idea to set up some dispensers on detector rails with splash healing potions to get him back to full health.
I think the chocolate dome looks pretty sweet!

Hey Etho, I've only been around since episode 200-ish but I have heard a lot about general spaz and I think that he should be included in the Rube Goldberg machine somewhere maybe he could be the reason the villager get blown into the water in the begining or something. Etho, a suggestion, when you start the rube goldberg machine, go into Spectator mode so that you can view it from a really good angle, otherwise you might not be able to see it all xD
He doesn't have cheats on so he can't unless he copies his world
Open to LAN, turn on cheats. Done!
He plays only in vanilla survival, and nothing else. At least, in his LP world. He has a creative world to test machines and then copies them over to the world.
I have an LP going right now too, and its heavily command block modded, but its all in 1.8.1, and i go into Spectator mode a lot to showcase things, and take cool thumnail shots, i think cheats are fine ^^ as long as you dont do dumb things like /give Skaliber 64 TNT
Skaliber I don't really care what you are using cheats for, but cheating is never fine, even in singleplayer. If you cheat, that world is tainted, all your efforts are gone, every single thing you built is now pointless.
Etho! A lot of people will hate me for this, but can you look at the Redstone on planetary confinement on camera? I heard it is really easy to understand as he mapped it all out.

Etho you should live stream the rube Goldberg, I know you're pretty busy and you might not have time but it would a great idea if you have time since we only got to see you build in this episode. I was hoping for multiple.
I don't think he can stream becouse his internet connection is really bad (if that's still true).
Samuel Lakatoš he mentioned getting new internet a few months back in a mindcrack video. Not sure how much its improved but hes done double uploads recently so I assume he could steam.

Etho is actually very genious person because Etho knows that his mysterious identitety makes him very interesting person and it makes him even look like a god. If Etho show his face can people realize that Etho is actually a normal human and get bored to him.

400 episodes its been that long? His vids are usually 30 minutes long so that is 30*400= 12000, then 12000/60=200, and then 200/24=8.3! 8.3 days! It would take 8.4 solid days without taking your eyes off the screen to watch every single episode! That Mr. Etho is a long time, great job buddy! 😊

Etho, for the Rube Goldberg machine you should use a dispenser to shoot a snowball at an animal tied to a fence with a lead. The animal could trigger a tripwire or a pressure plate to activate the next step. If you put several of them in a row like a chain it would look really cool! I love your videos, and keep up the good work!!!

This episode should have been named "Etho's Bad Day". Died twice, lost his boots, had that annoying skeleton and almost died in the mob arena. Its like some kind of slapstick Minecraft comedy, love it.
As for the Rube Goldberg Machine, you should give the villager health potions at intervals in the process because with a lot of TNT involved I have a feeling Villager may die.

I've been watching your videos since the original world, it's kinda weird to think it's already episode 400. Time flies but you've managed to keep things entertaining throughout the years. Keep up the good work and cheers to episode 500
ETHO! i have a couple tips you may want to keep in mind when building the rube goldberg machine. 1. Use a hopper to catch any of the falling blocks that are going down the stream. 2. Remember, the villigar is going to not be wearing any armour when going through the obstacle coarse so make sure when your testing to not ware any for best results And remember to MAKE BACKUPS! Also 3. You should use fireworks through out the coarse it would looks cool!
When etho said " let's just try it and see what happens", I knew it would go wrong!
A good idea for a vantage point would be, after you get out of the bed, get in a minecart on an unpowered track, then at certain points in the machine, a redstone current will trigger the track and move you to the next stopping point on the track.
That Skeleton brought you shame to your family.Funny as well.
Love the chocolate dome- maybe consider a redstone powered lava fall that stems from one block in the ceiling and cascades over the entire floor to clean it out. Just a thought ;) big fan of the channel, keep up the great work!

Etho, for the mob arena, you should have a mob sorting
System so you can sort out which mobs will come out. You can have 3 train station setups: 1 villager leading zombies to a whole then the villager gets retracted (of course :D) and two more, one consisting of a dog and a cat to get skeletons and/or creepers if you just want to fight one mob. ^_^
Etho, I completely lost it when you stepped on the pressureplate for the second time. Knew you were gonna blow up. BEST ENTERTAINMENT EVER!
Dear Etho, I have a lot to say. 1. maybe instead of the gravel falling try red sand to fit in with the Mesa. 2. I think it would be cool to team up with a person who does animation and animate the Rupe Goldberg machine once it's done. Like an animation of a villager walking on the pressure plate and going down the waterfall. 3. You don't have to finish the machine by episode 400 but maybe you can make an explosion that uncovers a sign saying something. 3. A question.has anyone ever noticed you by your voice. Or like someone in your apartment building or neighborhood say " is the sneaky ninja Etho?" 4. Your awesome. I love your videos and please never stop.

For the Rube Goldberg Machine I have a suggestion to gathering the items. You could use hoppers right before the villager falls into the whole so that the villager doesn't have a chance to get stuck and the items will not activate the minecart despenser.
Skylights! Have a skylight in the center of the dome to let in a bit of light.
