It’s not just a crawl or a slot in an episode, but a part of a season where they address the fact that Jedi did manage to survive the purge and hide their identities. I’ve never bought that Order 66 was supposed to have wiped the Jedi out, because there were so many of them that were scattered around the galaxy during the Clone Wars, and we saw there were even members of the order who escaped the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. By all means, bring Cal and others into the picture, but do it the right way, where there’s a point to it. That means we tell the background story of where the survivors went, a rough idea of how many but not exact, and this opens up more stories for not only TV shows and movies but also new games and novels. I do think they have to be careful with the novels, though, because they’ve got novels that would’ve been better held back and developed as scripts for film and TV before being released as books, such as Shadow of the Sith. They didn’t push Hera, she had an entire arc with the Bad Batch that was part of showing how the Empire impacted the galaxy post TCW and explained her trust in clones in Rebels even after Order 66. With Caleb, that set up his extreme distrust in the clones with Depa’s death that we see heavily in Rebels as well and was the first sign of Crosshair going "rouge" and the Bad Batch discovering Order 66. In my opinion, that would only be necessary if you need that context for the character. They usually don't introduce characters where you need that much context to understand why they're there or how important they are. Books and games make it more interesting to see those characters (like the handmaidens from TPM in Queen's Peril, where we don't need to know what they did in the movie on screen but reading about it enhances the story.
@@jediknightsamuel I don’t disagree with you. I just think that a 60-90 episode can be made rather cheaply and then they can explore more topics. Now that I think of it, had Disney cobbled together Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra’s best moments from Clone Wars and Rebels, it could’ve given more context for the characters in Ahsoka for fans that don’t watch animated shows. That can be done very cheaply. My point is, let’s make it easier for casual fans. We know we’ll watch, play and read everything Star Wars AND we’d be thrilled to watch the recap shows too. Let’s build a Star Wars where everyone can find their corner of it to enjoy.

If we're talking post OT, I am 100% against him returning. While I do like what has been done with Ahsoka, Ezra, and Grogu, too many Jedi being alive would completely undermine the significance of Luke and Leia being the last hope for the Jedi. This is a slippery slope that would ruin the impact of the OT.
I'd love to see a short overview somewhere of Cal Kestis's story. I don't game and probably never will; I'm just really not interested. I know who Cal Kestis is but not too much about his story. Has there been a canon book about him, or has someone made a video?
You could look up story summary videos for the games. That's what I'll probably do because I read all the books and there is a book following him, Jedi Battle Scars, so I would like to know the story of jedi fallen order since it takes place between game 1 and 2.
@@jediknightsamuel I'll look, thank you!
Utini!
I think Cals arc should end with the third game. There’s nothing wrong with a heroic sacrifice from the protagonist. I mean they did it to Luke, Leia & Han, why can’t Disney do it to their own canon original heroes?
I know who the character is but that's about all. A run down of his stories would be helpful. I don't game. I did love the actor in Gotham. He was fantastic as the Joker so him in live action would be a plus. It's a shame because he could have been great as Mara's long lost father.
I think where Disney has had problems with characters was recasting. So to say. But using the real character (and we know he’s a good actor) I think Disney shut up and let it happen, it would work famously. Disney keep your stupid fingers out of it though
You couldn't have said it better, I agree 👍
As a Starkiller/TFU fan I'm fairly indifferent
Do I want Cal to be in the Mandoverse? No, we NEED Cal in the Mandoverse in my personal opinion and I think it would be smart to introduce Cal in live-action before his third installment in the Jedi series. For marketing and even more attention to the Jedi series, it would be awesome to have Cal's next installment in the game be linked to what happens in the Mandoverse. We have had references all over SW media to Cal in damn near every series. And having him appear will boost the Jedi franchise and have even more eyes towards it, as well as satisfy his Galaxy's Edge presence. With the Nightsisters reborn and Thrawn now have returned, I can't see why Cal and Merrin wouldn't join the fight and be involved. I honestly think in the Mando & Grogu film is where he should be introduced and I think with the events of Ahsoka, now is the best time for him to be introduced in live-action or at least have a mention. I wanna see Cal with Ezra, Luke, Grogu, Jacen, etc.
Cameron deserves a live action spot. Mando or anything would be great!
Did Kestis ever know Grogu?
Maybe he already was? who really was Inquisitor Marrok besides the Nightsisters smoke?
Definitely, yes, and I also want to see him reprise his role as Jerome Valeska, aka Joker
people what do you think of this what if what if tarre vizla was reincarnated in Anakin Skywalker think Anakin Skywalker the chosen one as well as the next Jedi Mandalorian would be awesome right I mean because you all know Anakin Skywalker you'll know what he can do he is strong and powerful and lightsaber combat and the force sure he can do great awesome than vizla
WHERE'S THALL⚡️JOBEN
Thanks Meg! might as well be wearing Sith Garb Than Man United Garb EVIL
PONCHOS THE MOVIE!
The games re popular among gamers. Here the rub, the majority of people who watch Star Wars are not gamers. To say otherwise would be delusional. I love the games, you love the games, but most people don’t, so they have to facilitate those first and foremost or they simply wont have a clue what’s going on. This requires extensive exposition. It’s not just a crawl, or a slot in an episode, but a part of a season where they address the fact that Jedi did manage to survive the purge and hide their identities. I do think they have to be careful with the novels, though, because they’ve got novels that would’ve been better held back and developed as scripts for film and TV before released as books, such as Shadow of the Sith.
Cal, Mace, Quinlan, Maul, Ventress….etc. just give us something of substance plz 🙏
Cal Kestis not showing up in live action would be a travesty.
GROGU IS MORE FORCE SENSITIVE THAN SABINE!!🤬
NAH.
I don't know if I can get behind this project in in good conscience. He is very vanilla and un-diverse (not to mention very CIS male). Probably het too.
Yeah g'day,
Personally, I think the Cal Sepsis games are a waste of time I found the games boring, monotonous, and not worth my hard-earned.
It's a goodnight from you and it's a goodnight from the broken, cantankerous, belligerent, obnoxious, obstinate, obstreperous, cynical Old Fart.
Watch them turn cal into a 🐱
No🗑️
Star Wars hype is at all time low
The woke BS the Kathleen Kennedy and her stupid decisions & sticking around the lack of planning for sequels. The ship has to be turned around & fast
