Can't wait to get mine in a couple months. I'm an Android user and frankly after 8 years of using Android Auto in my Volt, I'm looking forward to not having to worry about connecting my phone to the car anymore.
The only thing I'm a little concerned about is that charge door, but otherwise this car checks all the boxes for me... Style, size, range, power, heated/ventilated seats, ride quality, towing capacity (note that the 3500lb towing is only available with the RS RWD. The AWD only gets 1500lb towing).
    Nice review.

I had someone else comment they aren't missing CarPlay/Android Auto at all, one less step is useful for sure and can help reduce distractions. Thanks for pointing out that detail with towing in case people were wondering!

Pretty happy with my Blazer EV. Thought I would miss Carplay but actually haven't missed it at all. If I used Apple music it might be a different story but I think this actually performs better because I haven't had any annoying disconnects/reconnects that I got with wireless Carplay on my last vehicle. Siri works alongside the system just fine, and texting/calls show up just like they did before.
One feature I didn't see mentioned is the back seats recline a bit, which makes it feel even more roomy in the back.

Great to hear from an existing owner! I figured you'd eventually get used to not having CarPlay.. and the built in maps are pretty great too. How has the experience been overall for you so far? Is it the first time that you've owned an EV?
I must have missed the seat recline when shooting the video, I'll make sure to add that in when I review the 2025 model!

This is my first EV, coming from a 2022 F-150 Lariat. I'm impressed with the build quality and the infotainment ease-of-use. No issues as of yet, and at least in my area the dealer is super responsive and has a lot of EV knowledge. I know that has been a challenge for some. Took it on the first road trip last weekend, 7 hours round trip through mountain passes and it handled really well in the snow/ice. Another plus was the hotel we stayed in had free EV charging so I spent $0 on fuel the entire trip.

Just a little bit of a change over there! I'm looking forward to doing some winter drives in different EVs to see how they handle but it's good to know this one handled things well. So crazy about the differences in travel costs too when you can get a hotel with a charge station

Compared this with its twin the Honda Prologue. Ended up with the Prologue because of the amazing lease deals, the 12-speaker Bose speaker system, the styling is a little more refined and my spouse hates that the center screen on the Blazer is driver focused so she can't easily use it as a passenger LOL. Also, the Prologue has wireless CarPlay.

Oh interesting, I've got the Prologue on the list of cars to review later this year so I'll look at doing a compare video between them. Such an odd choice for GM to get rid of CarPlay and Android Auto so I'd be in the same boat as you.. my next car absolutely has to have them. Is it the first time that you've owned an EV?

@@CarsWithSteve I had a Polestar 2 right when they first came out. ICE car they turned into an EV. Fun to drive but was very cramped inside and the Android powered software was so glitchy. Imaging having to reboot your car's software while driving. All you see on your screen is the speedometer. I heard they have dramatically improved it since but it was an expensive lease. Much happier with the Prologue so far.

Must have been frustrating with the constant reboots but I haven't had the chance to review the Polestar lineup yet, hopefully at some point this year though. Hope the new ride treats you well!

I don’t think a slim spare tire would be able to handle the weight of an EV

It would depend on the profile of the spare but tossing a full size in the trunk could be a good option for distance drives
