- 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T 426 Hemi-Muscle Car Of The Week Video Episode #170:
The new for '67 Dodge Coronet R/T was a stout machine, with bold styling and drag-strip ready goods where it counts. This car, from the Brothers Collection, features the optional 426 Hemi V8 in place of the base 440, and is ready to rock.

Really like this channel alot.... Kevin is a true car guy with infinite knowledge of different cars and the various options they came with. Some classic car channels are a joke. Young kids with absolutely zero knowledge of these cars..... A Honda Civic with a fart can exhaust is NOT a muscle car, sports car, or high performance car of any kind lol
Thanks for the kind words Jeremy! We're glad you dig the channel. We're always learning more about this stuff ourselves! Thanks again!
Keep em coming brother

4 speed for sure. My uncle has a B5 blue 67 coronet R/T also with the 440 4speed. 36,000 original miles never painted and the thing still shines like new.
I just love the sound of old mopar engines...
I owned a 66 Plymouth sattelite with a 426 hemi 4speed 354 Dana and a 67 coronet art with a 440 auto and the 4 speed is a lot more fun to play with still own the 440 after 35 years lots of fun for a old man
My first car was a 67 dodge coronet 318 with Harley 4 barrel. Never had another car like it.
4:50 Spewing Hemi Juice, 5 minutes later "Exhibition of Steam".
lmao
Thats a Chrysler product for ya.....😁😂😂
Own a 66Hemi 4spd Satellite,runs 13.1at 121 mph in quarter mile w/slicks.
About the coolant leak, don't fill radiator to top,it will pump it out
the over flow every time.
What's your 60' time 5.3?
I love the subtle look of these.
I love the way these videos are edited and the writing is perfect. Thanks for the information !
Thank you so much! We appreciate the kind words!
It really doesn't matter to me now about having a manual or automatic. If it has the right horsepower, torque, traction and gearing I'm good. 👍
No way, 😳 it starts-up like moms 225 Swinger with the Push-Button AM-Jams! Oh the memories...
1967 Coronet R/T ...one of my all time favorite Mopars. The 440 was actually a better street engine, but if you were going to take it to the strip, the 426 was the way to go. Instant street cred if you had a Hemi under the hood...but they definitely weren't cheap!
Remember during the “smog is going to kill us all” scare (late 80’s early 90’s) they started crushing these Corronets? What a shame.
The manual transmission models have two additional half length leaf springs on the passenger side to aid traction.
I put Helwig lifters on mine...
The extra leaf spring was added to mostly help reduce body roll due to excessive torque, while under hard acceleration.
In my younger days. I thought the Coronet's were plain & ugly. I wasn't old enough to know about engines yet. I'd give my eye teeth to have one of these now; especially with the Hemi...
@Jeremy Thompson I agree now that I'm older & wiser.
You guys always have the most awesome HEMI Cars
Cool car. I like those boxy mopars. hemi ain't too bad, either!
In America you gotta have 4 pedals. Im mediocre at best, but when I do it just right it makes me feel pretty boss 😎
Starts like a straight six!
Chrysler starters have a unique sound.
great vids. love the cars. why is the pentastar on both fenders? i thought they only put em on passenger side.
gorgeous car, great video
Love it man I want one
The one in the ad at 4:36 looks good! The wheel covers, the black stripe.....
I love how at 4:47 it just casually pored coolant onto the ground.
I like the 4 speeds hands down!
I wouldn't care it's awesome look at now baby ha ha it's a beast with that hemi
Man I wish You do a 68' Cornet '500' 383. As My favorite Mopar. My parents had one as are Family car when I was 5. Lol.
I think a 4 spd for me, if I was given a choice.
Another beautiful mopar! Which tranny would I choose? I've always said automatics are for old ladies and bracket racers! I don't care how fast they can shift, they're just not as fun to drive.
I would have to try both (Manual and automatic) to answer your last question. If you have both in the Brothers Collection, you think it would be possible...? ;-)
Let the car speak!!!
I never cared much for Chrysler products in the 50 and 60s except the 57 Fury were unique but never had the truly classic look the 57 Chevy. The 65 Chrysler Crown Imperial is another exception and was a beautiful Luxury. Beginning in 68 with the new Dodge Charger Chrysler styling had finally turned the corner.
HIGH DOLLAR HELL!!! Ilove it!!!
nice Kevin
Which one would I choose? One of each.
have all 426 hemis from 1965 to 1971 two 4 barrel carbs ???
Had a Homer Simpson drool going while watching this
4 speed for sure...!
The Highland Park hummingbird at 5:27
And to think in the mid 90’s there was a push to crush cars like The Dodge Coronets because of pollution and bad fuel economy. Unfortunately, many did make it there.
Hemi. 4 Speed. R/T
Seems like the brothers collection has more automatic cars than 4 speeds, interesting!
Well that was mid size back then. Seems big now but we drive little baby cars now. lol
4-speed , man !!!
and was build a 426 with sixpack ??
That is easy, 4 speed! It still had a good burnout with the auto though.
Might want to fix that leak 4:50
That's the radiator over flow. They must have filled the radiator before making this video and when the engine warmed up it pushed some out the overflow.
They didn't come out with an overflow, The overflow hose went down the driver side of the radiator straight to the ground, So if it got a little warm it would leak on the ground. My Big block Dodge Power Wagon was the same way.
4:49 is that radiator fluid leaking?
Yeah them old mopars if you top off the radiator they will over flow. You gotta stop just short of full.
notice at 4.40 antifreeze leaking from it
These cars didn't come with an overflow for the radiator.
Give me the auto with a shift kit,
Who in the heck would want an automatic here?!
The manual, obviously.
727 torck fliit
It's more fun to shift gears.
With that torque? I'd go manual all the way.
Sweet Coronet!!!❤Please check out my 1968 Barracuda fastback powered by a rowdy 512 stroker backed by an A833 4 speed manual. I think you'll approve. 👌
Big? it wieghs les the GMs mid size.
why dident you have a hot blond chick for this vid ?
*4:50** radiator leak?*
Over flow. The old mopars if you top off the radiator they will over flow. You gotta stop just short of full.
