    Dodge all you would have to do is replicate them. They would make so much money if they just rebuilt the old car's

      They don't meet any federal safety regulations. They would have to be brought up to code & that would completely negate any reason to do it.

    Not sure about the production Numbers for that car. I contacted Galen Govier about a 1971 HEMI Cuda covt that I saw in 1973 just South of where I lived which was parked by a Coffee shop the odd summer night .
    It was light yellow with a white billboard HEMI , White inside with a white top but a black carpet and dash plus the console where the Automatic shifter was.
    The top was down and I saw the mechanical tach on the steering column just south of the speedo for a manual shifting at the accurate RPM.
    i was told that all the Cuda Converts with HEMI's were recorded and there was no car like that produced in 1971.
    But this was Canada and the HEMI cuda's were built at the Windsor Plant while the HEMI Roadrunners all came for either the Lynch Rd Detroit or the Plant in St.Louis.
    In 1973 , it was not popular to make a CUDA as a HEMI clone . Plus, why put a White Billboard on the Sunfire Yellow cuda where I didn't even notice it until a friend saw the shaker scoop and ask me to pull the car over to look at it.
    Was this car from Windsor because the VIN should have the 1st -B (Cuda ), Price code letter, 3+4 body Convt #27 , 5th -R( hemi) , 6th -year 1970 as *0* , 7th -Plant R (windsor) . The Plants for 1971 should be A G (USA) , R Windsor .

    I didn't know they went with hydraulics in 70. A buddy had 68 Belvedere hemi. he knew how to adjust the lifters, It looked like his Pappy's and he took off the Hemi Logo. Rich hid put 10 Large into his SS 427. The $2,500 Pappy blew his doors off.

    I can see a father getting his daughter a yellow Cuda convertible but why did he think she needed a 426 hemi? LOL

  • @Veteran007
    @Veteran007 3 года назад

    Please get this clear. It's already been proven that the Stock 426 Hemi engine has 490 HP not 425 HP. The 425 number was put out there by the people marketing the car because buyers were having their insurance rates jacked up. So by lowering the Horse power rating, buyers could avoid the insurance trap. Stock 425 Hemi have been dyno tested and shown repeatedly to come in at about 500 horse power, that's right out of the factory. If you decide to modify the Hemi, the sky's the limit which is why is such an unbelievable engine.

    The Bros bought this car in April 2016 at Mecum Auction's Kissimmee, Fl. for $2.9 Million including auction fees.
    Having cruised around in a few of these (my brother has a '71 ) they aren't really the best cars out there, the convertible chassis twists and paint cracks from stress , but if you have $3 Million you obliviously didn't have to work for, then this is the car for you.

    Only 11 total were built in 1971. 7 for the US and 4 international. Only 2 were built with the 4 speed Hurst shifter. People you're seeing a car worth 3 to 4 million American dollars. Yeah that's right 3,000,000 to 4,000,000. Just look to your RIGHT at the auction in Seattle 2014. "MECUM SOLD $3.5 Million..." ---------->
