One of the best tutorials about creating worlds easy fast and nice keep moving forward keep maaking tutorials !!! other youtubers with less experience than you get more viws because of the duration of the videos yo need to make 10 min videos so underrated!!! i sub and like donte give up man just keep moving !!!!
Great tutorial, my first to view from you and once I actually followed the instructions ( a few diffs in Ver.5 too) 8>) .... really came out great. Thanks so much. I subscribed and look forward to more. Cheers!
I used this for the background. only thing you forgot to mention was to turn on the two sided opinion which I figured out after multiple tries :) But I got it to work so thank you for this tutorial, it helped a lot.
Been playing with UE5 for about 12 hours now. Completely green, don't really understand any of it yet. This was awesome and I am going to practice to get to this point.
Hi I See 3D, I'm a bit late to the party, just seen your video and loved it just like to reiterate other people's comments. I'm just learning Unreal and followed along easily with your steps and all turned out just like you showed, liked and subscribed.😃
According to myth the Earth was created in six days, now watch out, here comes Unreal Engine 5, we'll do it for ya in six minutes! A web coin for anyone who gets the reference. Great video.
Early God's days are not literal i think, there was no day night cycle before creating moon and earth... i'm pretty sure Genesis should not be literal interpreted, even if i'm a christian. According to Unreal, yes!.. that's the magic of Computer Science... Great video indeed.
Cool! I might use this with an idea I've been wanting to try. A space station/hotel flying over the earth . I just wonder if its detailed enough if your close up. I guess I can adjust it as needed.
What are your PC specs? I tried UE5 but unless I put Shadows to the minimum it won't go fluid... Also great tutorial, since I came from tutorial on how to create Earth on other Software like blender, I was impressed that you was able to create it in such a short amount of time, maybe I would add just a bit more of atmosphere to the Earth but good work anyway.
For the atmosphere, I would highly recomand to use a Sky atmosphere, it has everything you need to make photorealistic atmosphere with light scaterring and it's volumetric
quick question, similar to making the night side show only when hit by light how could you make the atmosphere only show on the parts hit by the light?
This is so cool!! I am trying to figure out how to create a minigame where you start on the ground, launch a rocket (in first person), then have to navigate the rocket all the way to the moon and land. Does anyone know if this technique will help me figure out how to do something like that? Or should I be looking in a different direction? I'm learning how to use Unreal for a quick game jam challenge, so not looking for anything crazy, trying to keep it relatively simple.
Pretty nice tut, but you talk just a little bit fast, that's ok, I got the scene going. thanks for the tut. 👌any chance you could do a tut on a skybox ?? been trying to get a skybox scene figured out.
so awesome but I'm stuck with the Stars, I end up with a completely white dome and when I switch the Direction light off then I can see the stars, what am I doing wrong
Can't get the Day map cloud map night map to download in 2k or even 8k. Only can down load the normal map and specular map to download, any suggestions?
Hi. No this will give you a planet to use in scenery only . Technically you could walk on it but you need to modify your gravity direction. Textures would need to be dynamically changed.
Great tutorial! I’m just having one issue. I’m trying to render a sequence with the earth in the background, but the lighting reduces every time I try to render, making it look so dark. Do I need to add additional lighting?
Hey, great tutorial. Trying to follow it but have some issues maybe you have an idea whats wrong: I am using Unreal5 preview 2. When I try to attach earth material to sphere created via modeling tools its not "Centered". Its stretched and i'm not sure how to fix it. If I use regular sphere all is fine, material looks great and centered. Any ideas as to why? Btw, modeling tools in UE5 PE2 look different than ones from this tutorial not sure if this is the issue...
I'm having a bit of trouble. I've followed this step by step, but the textures don't seem to sit properly on the sphere, it's as if the material is trying to cover a cube. Is there a fix for this?
Awesome tutorial but I'm having a problem that I cannot fix. When I create the clouds and attach it to the mesh it displays behind the planet and not on top even though the position is correct and planet itself within the clouds sphere. Can you or anybody else help!
Great tutorial, but sadly I dont get the same result, I tried twice from zero and always I encounter a problem with translucent material, with the clouds and the stars. They dont work as transparent, I can see the clouds but I can not see the earth behind... I am using ue5.0.2, I dont know if I have to enable something... I would appreciate any help. Thank you!
I encountered the same problem...On the shadow side of the earth, I have the same day picture with a bit of lighting...I followed the texture tutorial to a T...could it be the light settings or something?
Zooming out is not as easy as he made it seem. I still have yet to figure out he was able to zoom out like that mine just wont let me zoom out to see the whole thing
Almost the same way as UE4.xx.y. Install EPIC games launcher/store client. There is a separate item on your top-left --Unreal Engine. Click it. You will see new tabs available at the top-middle screen: UE4, Learn, Marketplace, Library, Twinmotion and UE5. Click UE5 tab. There will be a button "Download Early Access". All you have to do now is to sell your soul to Devil and click this button. 🤣 Enjoy.
Too fast, not very clear on how or what you are doing. You click on stuff and open nodes with no small explanation. I have to constantly rewind and pause to see what you click. Just a few secs slower and a bit explanation of what you are doing would be nice. plus it would make you video over the 10 min sweet spot. Otherwise you have great knowledge of everything, but imagine knowing very little.
really hate when people front as "developers" but cannot code.. only blueprints. not only is the tut a waste of time, its basically useless knowledge, but also makes it difficult to find real programming tutorials because of deluge of BP horsesh_t
How do I create a space scene? Connect this node, to that node, to that node, this node to the other node, node to node, click, duplicate, node, lighting, instance, node. Done.
Even I, a person who knows nothing about unreal engine, got the final result, your tutorials are fantastic.
I swear you impress more with each video
I just started with UE and this was fantastic clear and the result is awesome, Thank you very much
One of the best tutorials about creating earth on youtube.
Amazing 👌
i don't think i'll ever even download any engine nor model something but i like to watch this content for some reason
One of the best tutorials about creating earth on ue. So underrated.
Amazing 👌

I dont have knowledge on this, but for a start your tutorials are really good and easy to understand
Thanks for this!!! Short and crystal clear!
One of the best tutorials I've seen! Keep it up! :)
Great tutorial, my first to view from you and once I actually followed the instructions ( a few diffs in Ver.5 too) 8>) .... really came out great. Thanks so much. I subscribed and look forward to more. Cheers!
You´re the BEST, very useful video! You deserve my like!
I’m sure god followed this tutorial.
I used this for the background. only thing you forgot to mention was to turn on the two sided opinion which I figured out after multiple tries :) But I got it to work so thank you for this tutorial, it helped a lot.
ah a perfect trick to avoid using hdri and still have a nice space station background, ty
the first ue5 tutorial i have done, it was super easy thanks to your video :) cheers
Thanks for the tutorial. My end result actually looks like yours. Most tutorials I follow don't go that well lol
Love it man, thanks for sharing. Could you do a follow-up video adding the sun?
with raging hot atmosphere
bro this damn fire:) keep bringing such tutorial . you are great brother:)
Great Work!!! Congrats!

Why stop at this point?

Thank you so much to do the space!
please make a series of making a open world game with free assets pleaseeeeeee u make such detailed videos i love it
Sounds like a good idea!
awesome video dude i subbed
i love ur works :) ♥ ty dude

now to put the cherry on top show us how we can animate that cloud and animate the earth and moon to rotate
Very cool, thanks!
well done, thank you for sharing your knowledge with the community.]
How would I create a sequence where I want to use the planet as a map to roam?
What are your PC specs? I tried UE5 but unless I put Shadows to the minimum it won't go fluid...

thank you so much !
Thank you!
nice tutorial

Hi! I am pretty new with UE, what do you mean by that? Could you be more precised? Thank you in advance!
this only works for one planet at a time without some trickery, you recommend any alternatives?
It worked perfectly for me! The problem now is I can't move around. How do you do it at the end where you go around the planet?
Alt + left click allows you to pan around the focused actor, in this case the Earth
quick question, similar to making the night side show only when hit by light how could you make the atmosphere only show on the parts hit by the light?
Amazing video :)
Master-level teaching bro! Thanks (SUBSCRIBED)!
can we have an animation tutorial starting from the end here.
Excellent.
very helpful
Do you know a way to create regions with naming? maybe possible with 5.4 Biomes or is there a current way to achieve this
#i see 3D people - can you in next video do planet but walkable where can walk around with directional gravity please?
like in spore right
How do you set up gravity on each one?
really clear and helpful, appreciated the straight to the point feeling of the video
Badass - software and tutorial
nice
How do I get the world outliner tab to pop up? I can’t figure it out it’s my first time using the software.
Do you have a template or completed project repository?
This is so cool!!

Awesome tutorial! Will I have enough GTX 770 OC 4gb for renderings like this in UE5 at 1080p and above?
so awesome but I'm stuck with the Stars, I end up with a completely white dome and when I switch the Direction light off then I can see the stars, what am I doing wrong
it doesn't work for me, when I drag the material onto the sphere it doesn't appear as it does on the blueprint, why is that?
Do You Make This 3D Astronomy Games in Unreal Engine 5 By Coding in BluePrints? Or By Coding in Unreal Engine Programming System?
thanks a lot!!!
Can't get the Day map cloud map night map to download in 2k or even 8k. Only can down load the normal map and specular map to download, any suggestions?
I'm want to make an open world that's happening on a planet and not a flat world. Will following this tutorial be good for what I want to achieve?
Hi. No this will give you a planet to use in scenery only . Technically you could walk on it but you need to modify your gravity direction. Textures would need to be dynamically changed.
Nice tutorial, but I think I will stick with VC Orb
Great tutorial! I’m just having one issue. I’m trying to render a sequence with the earth in the background, but the lighting reduces every time I try to render, making it look so dark. Do I need to add additional lighting?
We need Raster DEM data solution in UE5 🔥

Got it. UE5 Preview 2 merged 2 types of sphere into one button. When selected need to choose Subdivision type = Lat Long
@@DamirBolic Hey, I was having the same issue.. thanks for this!
The problem is that the light emitted by the atmosphere also flickers when the planet faces the dark side, which is not organic.
Hi! Really nice tutorial. I'm trying to use the sun as an actual light source instead of the directional light. It's a brick wall right?
I'm having a bit of trouble. I've followed this step by step, but the textures don't seem to sit properly on the sphere, it's as if the material is trying to cover a cube. Is there a fix for this?
Awesome tutorial but I'm having a problem that I cannot fix. When I create the clouds and attach it to the mesh it displays behind the planet and not on top even though the position is correct and planet itself within the clouds sphere. Can you or anybody else help!
Question, can this be turned into a walkable planet?
Technically it could be walkable but wouldn’t look good as the textures and for looking at a distance
half my setting seem to be locked and i cant get past the first minute of the video
I followed this I'm using 5.0 but for some reason, the moon is not showing when in play. Can someone help.
Guys help! How to rearrange nodes if they are 1 on top of another and there's a lot of them? Like a card pile
Thank you!
Same here. Solved by turning off "Cast Shadow" under Lighting in Details panel for the "clouds sphere." I assume it will also work for the stars.
@@derekwesleyarnoldmusic Came here looking for exactly that! Thanks!!!
Do you have a patreon? I want to support you
I don’t. but thanks! I might setup something in the future.
unfortunaly my earth dont have the light in the shadow side .. i follow the tutorial but cant have the same result at 03/35 ... can you help me please
I encountered the same problem...On the shadow side of the earth, I have the same day picture with a bit of lighting...I followed the texture tutorial to a T...could it be the light settings or something?
When I enable to the Modeling Tools Editor and click restart nothing shows up and I cant find the plugin anywhere. Anyone have a fix?
Does anyone know how to set it up so they spin around a sun?
I was wondering. Is it possible to "run" around the planet ?
Dop you need to put in gravity to "run" around the planet ?
My friend asked me what I'm using this for, and I said, just for a cutscene. I doubt this is useful for much else, and he'll never reply to you.
Интересно, если из UE удалить все, то останется безграничное темное пространство, как в реальном космосе, ну насколько нам известно? Прикольно.🥳
Zooming out is not as easy as he made it seem. I still have yet to figure out he was able to zoom out like that mine just wont let me zoom out to see the whole thing
Select the earth sphere and press F.
@@michael8843 ty!
ive got no chance all your panals are totally different to mine.. lol almost looks like 2 different programs
I literally have a friend watching with me, guiding me. I told him it was totally different. we're both going over the differences.
i dont undersatnd how you zoom out

this shit bussin
Great Video, but for the love of god, It is, Underscore.
It is no good close up. You will have to manually place hills, trees, grass, all of the terrain and etc.
ok 3hs later still at the same place its clear that this is not going to work.. modelling tools have diapered now.... i give up
fresnel .. pronounced fren-nell named after Augustin-Jean Fresnel ..French physicist ... a bit of trivia for you. 🙂
Yeah but you can't land on it and run around it, thats the problem
now go down to the surface of the planet there is no terrain. This isnt really the way to make whole planets unless they just there for eyecandy
Dude what planet are you from? LOL
Too fast, not very clear on how or what you are doing. You click on stuff and open nodes with no small explanation. I have to constantly rewind and pause to see what you click. he want's views, not trying to teach anything.
plus 90% of the comments are "wow you're so great", so he'll never change.
Where is the atmosphere?
With few clicks you could have made your planet looks real instead of a toy globe.
