BUY IT!!!!! Give it to Weird beard. This is way better than the 1959 Dodge with so much less to do to restore it than the Dodge. Call him up and let him see it. One of his kids might want it. It was a popular model and year . I know, because I wanted one back in 1966.
randy these cars are only getting more rare, you have a big shop and a lift on the way. if you can afford this def buy it bro. dont lose sleep because you didnt in the future. i also have developed a burning passion for cars that one might consider an addiction but who are we hurting?
Chris is talking sense. Trust me Randy. I had an opportunity to buy a 1959 oldsmobile 88 sedan in nice shape that needs paint and interior finishing. I could have got her for $6800. But I had some debt and worried it would bankrupt me. Wrong! I bought a 1992 mazda 929 for $750 plus $4000 in work. What a moron I was. Randy old American steel is always worth it. It's the new stuff that's not. Nobody gives a crap if they wreck a new car. Tons to be had unless it's a Ferrari. Then yeah time to cry. But pass on any old car and you're gonna hate yourself at some point. I did and I know I'm not alone. I still hate myself for passing on the oldsmobile. I'm a lot wiser now. Now when I buy and old car, I never sell it.
When he open the rear door and see that box with all beautiful shiny original hood caps i was flipping but when he open-up that hood and saw that clean engine my jaw hit on floor, even harder when it turn on and sounded so nice, with an enormous gealosy i just wanted to virtually enter inside the monitor get on there and take it.. sadly i'm from Europe.. Holly gem !..
You definitely need the impala ! It needs someone like you in their life because you will actually drive it and enjoy it ! Plus everyone knows you fell in love once you opened the hood
I don't understand why you don't have a million subscribers. Awesome videos all week long. Just a matter of time I guess, thank you for all of the hard work.
I happen to agree. Been watching your channel for a while now randy, it seems like the older American classic cars are in your blood. SAVE THE IMPALA randy. Lots of best wishes from Australia bud. Keep up the great work and stay safe
dude the impala is awsome and would honestly love seeing this on the channel.. only issue is the interior... it runs like a champ and the body is really good for its age
You can get repop seat covers and put them on with new foam. I've done it on both my Novas, not that bad. Biggest issue was finding hog rings in my little town.
The Impala is awesome. Someone started doing it over and you need to finish it. Interior parts are pretty easy to find. The grille and bumpers are in fantastic shape. GMs of those vintage rusted around the base of the rear window and the frames rusted in the back over the rear wheels. Have to assume, though, that the frame is ok or whomever did the engine and mechanicals wouldn't have put the money into it.
This was probably one of my favorite of your episodes of Copart walk around as of late; from being in the ring fighting that steering wheel to your love/passion for the Impala (and trying to deny that you need it - which of course you and we do - it'll be great content:-) to even the remarks regarding the front right suspension/wheel situation with the Audi - an all-around great episode!
I have an AM-FM radio for that car. I love this car. And I don’t need it either. I also have a set of Chevy 14 inch spoke hub caps for it. I had a 65 Impala SS with the 327 4 speed for about 15 years. I sold it around 20 years ago when I lost my job. It was such a fun car. It was adult car....... If you get this car, the stuff I have for it is yours........
@@suewatson1912 I’m not sure the radio works. I found a rusted out 65 Caprice for a parts car. I took the radio, rear end, grill, and several other parts for my 65 SS. The dash boards on the two models are similar. There are people now that takes the guts out of these radios and replaces them with new tech. The knob openings in the dash will not line up with new radios. I was alway against cutting on the dash boards of the old cars.. I loved to listen to the exhaust note of my car. With blue tooth tech of today, I could just use my phone and a small speaker.
Retrosound make radios for 50s and 60s cars that fit in the original aperture but have all the modern whistles and bells including bluetooth, USB input etc. To the untrained eye they look exactly the same as the originals (the screen is where the tuning dial would be, and the station presets and lnobs control the various functions) and the distances between the knobs and display are adjustable so they can be configured to fit pretty much any shaft-mount application.
Buy the Impala. My first car when I was 16 (in 1973) was a 1966 Impala 4 door sports sedan, Marina Blue with a black interior, 327 cubic inch Powerglide. One owner 50K miles for $500.Beautiful car. Hated the fact that it was a 4 door, drove it 6 months and sold it. Wish I still had it today, even being a 4 door.Didn't know what I had back then. Buy the Impala!
The '65 fullsize Chevies are the most produced single year car in history, more than 2 million were built. They are large, and in charge - but not the heavy boats that they became in the '70s. This car represented the American dream in the 1960s.
Randy, I don't know why I subbed today , but the fact is I am drawn by your ranting and content that brings good vibes to this 76 year old . My first car ? A 1947 Ford pickup growing up on a farm in Maine. 12 years old ripping up the dirt roads with the scent of DDT in the air. Darn it , getting old sucks.
Randy I share your passion for these old chevy’s as a young fella I owned many of these then again back in them days they didn’t cost what they do today lol . When I first saw this I thought it was a Biscayne but then figured it out . Watch out for the rear frame they tend to rot . I am sure it’s fine lol good luck
i just came up with a money making scheme. i'm going to buy every old car i can find and put them through that COPART one at a time and let Randy buy them. LOL
I would buy that beautiful Impala in a heartbeat. My first car, in 1984, was a 4 door 1965 Impala with a 327. Paid $200 for her and drove for 4 years and then sold her to someone else. The person i sold her to somehow managed to wreck and roll that heavy led sled. Great memories, thanks for showing her

The impala is honestly the best looking in those years imo, it would definitely bring money if you get it
