  • I went to the Paris Olympics 2024 for the first time and it was CRAZY. I love watching sports but I was very curious to see the olympic houses that different countries have built around Paris.
I will try their food, drinks and talk to people to decide who wins the olympics - when it comes to building a home!
    Thanks for watching!

Reality is Indian athletes are avg and they can't win against top seeded players. In Commonwealth and Asian games top seeded players rarely participate. Avg players give avg results. I can challenge you that I know the stats of olympians that represented India and rules of the games better than 80-90% of our countrymen. So take this Sexist Bs out please ☺️
Players still have to compete in world championships and games like CWG and Asiads to actually qualify for the games and up their rankings.
We have significantly improved our qualification nos., if I had to say there were 11-12 prospects of a medal of which 2-3 could have been gold (1 in shooting, 1 in Badminton, 1 in athletics and I desperately wanted the men’s hockey to win gold for sreejesh - based on consistent performances) but alas the games didn’t go our way. I am no seasonal supporter to shit on the players for this loss though I was certainly disappointed.
P.s also about the smaller nations, most of them have selected a niche and are working on it, Uzbekistan for eg. wins in contact sports, NK is good in TT, Contact sports, West African nations in Athletics and all.
We are diversifying (racket sports, Athletics, Precision sports, contact sports etc. though swimming, gymnastics is still a no go) but failing to convert it into a medal 4th or 5th finishes. Let them get the groove.

It turned out to be an unexpectedly great success. The Orange Houses are now in the summer and winter games. The agito ("I move" in Latin) is a symbol of movement in the shape of an asymmetrical crescent. They compete on Wed, Aug 28, 2024 - Sun, Sep 8, 2024. I'd go to Netherlands House because they have the best (and most) fans at any competition! You know you'd always have a great time with Dutch sports fans! (I also don't understand their love of the croquettes.) I can't believe that Team GB house charged you for the fish and chips after you paid over $500 to enter!😱As an American, I would never spend $325 to visit the U.S. House either.

I’m not surprised that Korea’s house was free, actually! The SK government & corporations know that K-culture is not only an insanely profitable export but also a gives the country soft power. And soft power is super important for a small country that is still technically at war with its neighbor. Having a free showcase of Korean pop culture and innovation is a logical investment.

Maybe there was not much to see. Canada doesn’t invest much for their athletes. I live there. When your kid does sports, you pay for « recreational » or « competitive » every month. Recreational has teenagers teaching the sports and competitive has the good teacher but it costs $300/400 a month. Then you need to bring your kids to all the competitions and buy expensive outfit and gears. Any athletes you see from Canada are rich kids.
