Googled and found a 40.5 in vert, but the vertical leap is a terrible test. They start by measuring standing reach with both arms overhead. However, when they jump, everybody reaches with one arm. You can test this at home with no equipment. Stand in a doorway and check out your standing reach, then drop one arm and extend the other. Congrats, you probably have a 6” - 12” vert without leaving the ground. And then, stand on your tip toes. Especially if you have big feet, you’re vert now increased a couple more inches and you still haven’t left the ground. It’s part of the reason NBA guys have mid 40”s to almost 50“ verts. They have wide shoulder blades and huge feet. The average NBA guy is probably almost 18” up on the pegs by the time he leaves the ground. Since it’s a two legged jumping test, guys with a high squat to weight ratio are the real vert monsters. Since you go up then down, an extra inch of “true vertical” adds almost 5% more hang time.
chris P yeah I agree bro. The only true vertical test i’ve seen is the ones where they don’t reach for anything, you just jump as high as you can off the ground without bending your knees
@@chrisp2272 Why wouldn't they just measure your height and then measure how high you can jump by having you jump in front of a height chart or sum and then seeing where your head got
