    Hey man, how tall are you? I’m also a 34x34 and considering buying these! I can’t believe the regular length fits so good, I usually opt for a long length

      Did you end up getting something? I’m still unsure what size. I’m 33x34

    Hey brother, don’t know if you want your name mentioned. But it’s funny I’m just researching pants. I’ve come across arbortec a few times and a this video began I was thinking I wonder what pants my brother uses, and boom there you are. I love the boots too. Thinking about when I’m buying the stihl 500i I guess I’m buying the pants. And probably the boots. Getting tired of the chaps.

    How are they holding up? That back zipper for ventilation seems a bit dodgy, no?

    • @andrew_forin
      @andrew_forin 2 года назад +3

      yeah i dont use that zipper, its not very hot in Canada. that part of the pant is so thin that you need to hold it tight with your other hand to zip it or else it just bends the material making it hard to zip. The pants are holding up tho, no damage and i'm crawling around on the ground milling wood in them

    Pants look good and would be fantastic for climbing over stumps and logs plus kneeling down for lower cuts. But I don't know what I cringed more at? The fact you are standing in sawdust with socks and then stepping into your boots with sawdust on the socks or running your saw through the log without rolling it over to finish the cut . Lol good demo on the pants

      Haha yeah you can tell it’s one of my first times running a saw. I’m that cliche guy who saw somebody else chainsaw milling and become obsessed with it the next day and blew my savings account on $10,000 worth of gear ;)

    I'm considering buying these...Tired of carhartts and wearing full wrap chaps...It just feels to bulky

      they are so comfy and easy to move around in them. Still holding up well for me

    Every time you put the saw into the sand I cringed. Thanks for the pants review though

      I believe it’s saw dust but still

      @chainsawmilling  3 года назад +1

      Sawdust ;) not cringe worthy. Milling wood on the beach packed full of sand tho...

    I think I read these are rated as class 1, so what size chainsaw would these max out at to stop the chain?

    • @lukewilcock428
      @lukewilcock428 3 года назад +1

      You are correct they are class one so I believe they would stop any chainsaw and they come in type A and type C but you only want type C it you are a climbing arborist.

    • @danielbabcock7004
      @danielbabcock7004 3 года назад +1

      The class ratings are based off of chain speed, not saw size exactly.
      Class 0 = 16 m/s
      Class 1 = 20 m/s
      Class 2 = 24 m/s
      Class 3 = 28 m/s
      Then there are two types of pants/chaps:
      Type A and Type C
      Type A only offer protection on the front of the leg
      Type C offer protection on the front of the leg, and back and sides of the calf

      Also Arbortec in general are all class 1 pants. But they do have 1 or 2 models that go up to class 3

    Are there chainsaw shoes?

    • @chainsawmilling
      @chainsawmilling  2 года назад +1

      Not that I know of. I will google "chainsaw shoes" right now to find out. I personally prefer bare feet or sandals when I'm bucking driftwood on the beach.

    Your bar is upside-down.

    • @andrew_forin
      @andrew_forin 3 года назад +3

      Bars are double sided. You flip the bar every 10th or so sharpen so it wears evenly

    • @LudicInterface

      Oh wow I didn't think of that and have never done so! Thanks!

      @@LudicInterface Also, check your bar edges for sharp burred lips along them, and file them off if they appear. They often do as a bar ages.
