If you are playing fjordur and having a good time then hopefully this helps you out! This will show you how to locate some of the best base locations on the map for pve, heck you could even use some of these for pvp base locations!
This tutorial is part of my channel for Ark, to help give you locations, hints, helps, guides,tips, cheats, glitches, cheese, the easy way, and whatever you might want to call these sorts of videos! :)

I started building in #10 last night in my single player. Beaver dams, resources, the view, and lots of key tames around it. Great vid!

Me too but some dinos spawn inside the castle, how did you remove that?
@@fabiofavullo3271 you just need to kill all them them put up doors I also have spike walls going down the side of my roadways leading to the castle gates but I don't have them spawn there anymore

I'm the sort of player that always does a base at the beach for fear of stray rexes or other carnis coming and killing me and my Dino's XD I'm a wuss but really like the bases locations you share and how much enthusiasm you showed when sharing them! Found myself smiling when you gushes about the purple trees and the silence. Really enjoyable video!

Perfect timing. Just started an hour ago.
Another base that id say is good (because I saw it since day one and am currently living there) is at 35-98 it’s on a small secluded island with a small cave that has metal in it but the area is also surrounded by full metal nodes and it’s great to get an early maewing next door to the red woods. It has everything that you need for the start but it is tuff to get to and may have an alpha raptor spawned on it
I saw that spot after I built in the castle and I super regret not starting out there.
Yeah, it's probably the best spot on the map for a ready made start location. Way better than most of the picks in this video. Tons of metal and stone in the cave, easily closed off with some walls and gate, with a stream that runs through it, with nearby access to the ocean. It's curious that this person didn't include it. It kind of looks like he hasn't uncovered it yet from him map images.
Yeah I'm planing to set up my permanent base there
the village's houses count as floor so you don't need foundations. you can put beds and stations right in them, but theres a metal spawn right at the base of the hill it's on towards the river

for me, the hardest part about fjordur and it's realms is constantly finding new places that are better than the last place I just spent 6hrs building in and immediately going "woooooooow" because it's obviously better.

I always played pvp but I’m tired of having my base wiped in a week and devoting my life to it while I’m playing, so I’m gonna switch and play some online pve with the boys 😎

Me and some friends will start a playtrhough today, spot 7 is DEF where i will be building.
A level 90 therizino almost dropped into my base at helms deep, it was on the overhang about to fall but I managed to lure it to the side and away from my base, it did like 130 damage per hit

Ahhh, 2 days now and I finally got Ark updated and ready, but now the gaming system is stuck in a boot loop for updates, even after I did a full restore! (SteamDeck) I am missing this! Thanks for the awesome suggestions, teach!

Entire reason I pick PC over console for Ark: Mods - I don’t need a lake for hydration, I have a sink. In fact I have multiple to fit different styles; because a role player on single player, definitely takes advantage of decor and ease-of-life mods. 😂

Cords to a base spot I'm currently living in 30 40 you have crystal and obs at Tue Mountain down by you have metal and east you have snow its decent
First real game on Fjordur, I've been living in the spot #10 for a while.wish I was more ambitious, cause I barely got a real building started up in there, and the random spawns have spread my tames all over inside, but those crown towers are perfect for dropping dines and such to knock out for taming. Except.....there can fall through into the wall if you leave render. O_o

Is this like not the regular map??? Because my boyfriend and I spent hours looking for 6.7-78.3 and ended up in the redwood forest. It would be nice to know if this wasn’t the vanilla map. I thought I was going insane.
You can teleport to different realms like norse mythology on this map, if you hold down R (if you're on PC) you can teleport to a different realm
@@idkman6063 I’m not on pc unfortunately. Can you still teleport on Xbox or no?
@@xSneakySnakeSagex I can assume it will be whatever reload gun button you have. And yes, you can still teleport on Xbox, if you can't get the teleport to work this way, there are teleport stations on the map too.
Spot 7 looks nice, water is a problem tho

Shadowmane all over the place at number 5 on my server. I just get wrecked by them every time I get close
theres another good area inbetween both number 9 and 10 which has natural walls all around it and it has buildings its also a really good place for taming since most good creatures spawns and you have a good area to trank them
you will need to make some gates in a few areas though so its not completely blocked off from the dangerous dinos

Helms deep is probably better because of the resources
1:42 You cant use flyers in the realms. Only desmodus, rockdrake, maewings
The Asgard city reminds me of White Run is the elder scrolls 5 Skyrim.

Im doing the Gacha base, ive never played on a map other then the island has scorched earth so i have no idea what im doing lol, but i just made it to the area and im starting my sanctuary. alot of youtube vids and tutorials lol.
I flashed back to Raasclark’s base when he was touring Helm’s Deep.
But how can I enter the underground?
In the Cave of Helms deep there are no metal Spawns, at least i can't find them

How would you go about bringing your tames to your new base location?
Realm tp if you don't have access to your own or any tek tp, tames can be podded to move em easily, items are a little harder since that'll be heavy and if your just starting out could be difficult. But at that point may as well build 2 bases one in the main realm and another wherever you like t

@@dylansearcy3966 same thing applies if you have the leisure of using/making tek tps place them at each of your bases , you can fly around the realms with a Desmodus but it won't be able to haul things over to other bases with their weight, basically you'd have to use what is available to you , and if your unable to move around freely in the other realms than ofc I'd recommend sticking to midgard till your advanced enough

Pve nr 9 have problem. I left my strong tames in the cave and everything disappeared.. i am moving out now

Bruh , fjordur map have only one VERY bad thing:"This map , have many places for base but..THERE'S NO WATER AT GOOD SAFE PLACES".
My base is in helms deep, but I can't pillar or build In the castle. I'm on a official pve server but I can't build in my base.
You might have to turn on cave building

Hi Teach what did you use to teleport from one spot to another one the tek teleporter is so big yours look like a pole that sticks out of the ground
He’s using an s+ teleporter powered with an s+ generator.

I have a general question on Fjördur. You said we could use a flyer for base spot one, but after I teleported to Vanaheim with a Wyvern I couldn't get on it, it would only open the inventory. I thought flyers wouldn't be allowed in these underground areas in general so I'm confused now. Does it work with other flyers and just not with a Wyvern?
No the only flyer you can use in another realm is Desmodus since they can fly in caves

My game acts like I died in hardcore mode whenever I exit the game when in one of the realms.

Yeah, surprisingly Wildcard didn’t completely erase them but they now spawn in Asgard instead of the old rock drake trench.
Yeah, there’s rock drakes, shadowmanes, and even feroxs on this map
I'm assuming these aren't buildable on official?
Surprisingly the castles and houses are buildable so finally PS5 and Xbox can join in.

Just search on RUclips singleplayer settings you can search easy or hard or normal
Half off the area for some reason on #8 is completely unbuildable. You can't lay foundations for some reason. Don't waste your time
