I love that you guys do this because as an international buyer it’s good to know what is worth the money for decent quality or sizing issues before we go ahead and buy everything!!! ❤
I used to work at Liz Lisa headquarters for a little bit and I can say for a fact that they put those filters on photos on purpose. The pictures that are taken at the photoshoots are good but once the EC manager takes control of them, they increase brightness and all that for some reason…
Thank you, Katie ✨️ I've been following Himena Ousaki since you mentioned them in a previous video. It's so reassuring to find people my age that I can be inspired by, without feeling like I missed the boat in my 20s. I'm in Tokyo in a few weeks and I'm so excited to finally explore my style a little more!
@CapsuleBunny just coming back to say that I went to 109 and LOVED IT! I spent a ton on clothes that the UK won't understand, so I guess that means I need to come back to Tokyo ASAP 😅
ahh I rly do enjoy these videos! I started living in Japan recently and it’s been so interesting to me to learn the difference between actual popular brands in Japan, and brands that are popular overseas heh so I’m glad to see a more insider take on what’s recommended~
Love your videos ❤ also I personally give Liz Lisa 8/10 it’s just pricy and when I wore their dress the clip on bow had pearls and it dropped this was a brand new dress btw
You just reminded me Bubbles existed and I fully typed “bubbles” into google thinking it would come up 🤦🏼♀️ I think a lot of the problems they are facing are felt by the fashion world on a global scale; prices going up and quality going down. It’s more difficult for smaller brands to survive and they have either got to lose some of their unique style and adopt trends or else go out of business. I think that’s why the aesthetic is quite samey from a lot of the brands
AH! Katie!! You look so cute with your hair like that! I used to own a lot of Liz Lisa and a couple Swan Kiss items, but Swan Kiss was so small in the bust for me and I'm only 89cm around my chest. I was so sad because I bought the birthday cake one piece in lavender a long long time ago and it was so cute but so so so tight :c Recently, I got into Jirai and have a BUNCH of Rojita and Mars clothes from Mercari. I also got a setup from Secret Honey and I love it!! I also really want a pair of shoes from Bubbles so baddd but it's expensive, especially to ship to the US. I'm always on the lookout on Japanese Mercari. I'm 29 and a lot of people talk about much younger girls being into jirai, but I don't care how old I am, I'm going to dress in whatever I want HEHEHE c:
I am soo happy to hear that you are rocking the Jirai style! I'm also around your age and I've honestly been contemplating letting go of the style. However, I'm now inspired to keep wearing the clothes that I love even if they're meant for a younger generation. Thank you for giving me much needed courage! 💖
Ahhh I didn’t see thissssss! Yes please wear whatever you want! There’s honestly no limit and all my fashion inspirations in Japan are older than me, let’s be cute forever 🥺💕
I really enjoyed this video and I pretty much shared similar opinions. Although I'm really sad about the quality drop with Liz Lisa in general, they remain one of my favorite brands. I bought two pieces from them recently and the buttons completely fell apart. I would have loved to hear your opinions on Ank Rouge, Evelyn, Amavel and Honey Cinnamon.💖
I did some of those in my Laforet video! But I totally agree! I know the economy isn’t great here right now, there’s inflation and obviously because of corona sourcing factories and materials got harder so I think… that has something to do with it? But it’s still sad 😔
Love these videos! Just wanted to suggest that you have which brand you’re talking about displayed in the corner so it’s easy to keep track of even if you get distracted
I really like Liz Lisa's comfort brand i got a bunny hoodie thats really cute but then i got one of their sets and it's a little tight in the shoulders but everywhere else fits which sucks lol
Do you have any recommendations for cute but comfortable/roomy shoes? Particularly Ryousangata or Jirai-kei style shoes or Lolita shoes. I have kind of wide/flat feet so it is difficult to fit my insoles into many shoes because they are often too tight at the metatarsal toe area, though I read that Japanese shoes apparently are more wide than western shoes (?). TwT I'm going to Japan later this week and plan to go to 109, as well as some other places like Laforet and Shinjuku Marui. Or would it maybe be better to just get plain comfortable mary jane type shoes and customize it with a bow?
I recommend Dearmylove! You can find them on IG, other than that there’s a brand called Attagirl? I think it’s called and they have stores in 109 and Harajuku Takeshita dori! They’re cheap and comfy and do up to LL :)

Ohhhhhh love hearing some insider insight! Thanks for sharing! 💕 a lot of brands are like this and it’s… annoying.
@@CapsuleBunny agreed… I hope they change it one day!

Himena is wonderful and deserves the world 💕

Oh absolutely some of their buttons and pearls will just fall off lol I love the designs, it’s such a shame 🥲
I love Liz Lisa clothes, they’re always so pretty just so pricey 😭
Yeah the designs are wonderful but the quality doesn’t always reflect the price 😭
You just reminded me Bubbles existed and I fully typed “bubbles” into google thinking it would come up 🤦🏼♀️

Liz Lisa is like barbie ever changing, sometimes has its downsides but will always be relevant
I'm coming back to Tokyo on holiday this spring, so plan to devour 109 and Laforet :)
Yessssss get it all 💕
I really like Liz Lisa's comfort brand i got a bunny hoodie thats really cute but then i got one of their sets and it's a little tight in the shoulders but everywhere else fits which sucks lol
Ahhh that’s unfortunate 🥲
Ahhh I love this video so much!
Do you know where peachberris blouse is from?
